    When you stop eating carbs your body goes into KETOSIS not ketoacadodsis which is complications from diabetes… spreading false info from the first 10 seconds of the video. But yes ketoacacadosis is bad if you’re a diabetic

    The man has a point if you’re body becomes more acidic because you eat too much meat it will pull calcium from the bones but all you have to do is eat more green leafy vegetables which are considered to be the best carbohydrates that are allowed in Atkin diet.to counteract the process of losing calcium from your bones. problem solved that he doesn’t want us to know 😊

    IM CALLING BS !!! That said carbs are not necessarily bad in fact some carbs are normally good. Some people benefit by cutting carbs to allow body to use more fats . Once adapted and within reason add some carbs to suit. Every one slightly different. Personally I don't think anyone really needs to completely cut out carbs unless there's a medical reason. Exercise, eat whole foods don't be afraid of complete food groups .Basically do what's right for you !!!!! DEFINITELY IGNORE THIS PRICK THOUGH 😂😂

      @WolfOfRomulus หลายเดือนก่อน

      No you won't. Due to the protein, and the carbs from the potato which is what you want to burn where fat will try to take it's place. Protein helps in hunger, eat more protein

    • @fluffytail6355
      @fluffytail6355 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Protein fills you up and should be eaten first. Also eat the potato skin - it contains fibre and will help fill you up too. Want to add fat? Add a pat of butter to the potato.

  • @cathyclark9653

    I’m confused. You’re microwaving in plastic, which is a no no, and allthose frozen foods are processed with chemicals. I try not toeat anything in a package but you’re saying it’s okay. I’m 74 years old and trying to lose 10 lbs. Eggs have been a go to but when you do the math, they’re too high in fat so I’ve gone back to egg whites with pico. AND, I hate chicken breast, what a dilemma!

  • @CarbageMan
    @CarbageMan ปีที่แล้ว

    You'd think someone who claims to know about health would know that 9 calories per gram of fat is a rule of thumb. The same goes for 4 calories per gram of carbs and 4 calories per gram of protein. PS: The government _requires_ those labels to be calculated by weight. Where they take liberties is often by manipulating the serving size so they can round down some numbers from less than 1 to 0.

  • @lle3712
    @lle3712 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is so wrong on so may levels. Everyone knows that when they buy 10% fat mince they will get 10% of fat by weight. Noone thinks in calories. It is obvious that when you calculate by calories the % will be higher as fat is more calories dense than lean meat. Do not spread misleading knowledge! And there is nothing wrong with eating fat. Look at the guy in the video himself, he is not exactly fit and looks overweight...

  • @Joseph1NJ
    @Joseph1NJ ปีที่แล้ว

    This fairly recent change to food nutrition labels by FDA made no sense whatsoever, at a time when 70% of Americans are overweight, with a whopping 40% of us obese. During the open comment period I email the heck outta FDA and urged NOT to remove the percentage of calories from fat from our 'new and improved' food labels. But, well you know, industry lobbying being what is always dwarfs consumers' health. To their credit, they did require the "added sugars" content.

  • @helenwheels3341

    Fat is good. Avoid sugar

    • @CarbageMan
      @CarbageMan ปีที่แล้ว

      An over-simplification, but a decent rule of thumb, if you avoid seed oils and trans-fats, and recognize that refined grains and starches convert into sugar pretty much instantly.

  • @Tardigradient
    @Tardigradient ปีที่แล้ว

    Plot twist: fat isn’t unhealthy. Sugar is

    • @niccidee782
      @niccidee782 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right? I was thinking of the Keto diet, which I am on. Lost lots of weight, feel great. BUT, I will say I am thankful he is explaining the false labelling. And he's right, they shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.

    • @Tardigradient
      @Tardigradient ปีที่แล้ว

      @@niccidee782 agreed. Semantics are super important when it comes to food. Technically they aren't lyng, but they know how it will be interpreted by the vast majority of consumers, so it's really underhanded of them. I just found it odd that this creator chose fat to zoom in on, when sugar is absolutely wrecking the world.

    • @CarbageMan
      @CarbageMan ปีที่แล้ว

      To be clear, it depends on the fat. Easily oxidized PUFAs can be very unhealthy and are best consumed in their natural and fresh state. Trans-fats are virtually always unhealthy. Naturally raised meats usually have healthy fats, overall, but unnaturally raised can be problematic, while not usually a big deal. Meats and fat products with additives are usually unhealthy. Having said that, you're basically correct. Sugars, grains and starches are typically eaten in quantities and frequencies that are unhealthy. If they're refined, they almost always are. Sadly, most adults have already destroyed their metabolisms with bad foods, and we have to be more careful than if we ate natural foods, in which case we could tolerate a lot more natural fruits, grains and starches. Unfortunately, very few of those are actually natural. They've pretty much all been heavily manipulated.
