We are a married couple that love exploring the outdoors within South Africa, Our favorite destination is the Kruger National Park. You will get the chance to connect with nature and encounter wildlife through our travels away from the bright city lights. We love to camp! While sitting at camp, we prepare simple, but delicious Outdoor meals. Food just tastes better when prepared in the outdoors. Come and explore the outdoors with us. The biggest lesson you will have learnt after watching any of our videos is that life’s joys come mostly from relationships and friendships, and not from material things.

We finally touched ground at Pafuri gate, It had been a long time coming. We've now officially used all existing Kruger National Park gates on the South African side. We used Shingwedzi Rest Camp as a pit stop to Lower Sabie. We saw so many lions, that's definitely memorable. We hope you enjoy this video. We camped in Berg-En-Dal for a couple of nights. We were fortunate to see rhinos in their natural habitat. So sad to see them without their horns, their main weapon of defense. Lions weren't shy as well. We hope that you will enjoy this video. It's a pitty we couldn't produce it in the highest quality. But future videos will not be have a technical setback. Male Buffalo Attempting To Mate With Another Bull - Kruger National Park
Can we take a moment to and appreciate this content 🙏🏻🥰, I have been binge watching all this beautiful moments on this channel, narrated with so much passion I felt like I was in most of their safari experience. The bush walk was so amazing.❤️❤️❤️. Much appreciate the amazing content.
It feels good to be appreciated. I'm always happy when the viewer is drawn into the feeling of being on Safari while watching our videos. We'll definitely do more bushwalks in future, and we'll also do Marakele in June, first time there. Thank you Raletsoku, your support is just what we need.
You never disappoint
Thank you my brother, Golden Hour is always spectacular
Still enjoying your videos :-) What camera and which lenses do you switch between. Which focal length do you use the most? Sorry about all these questiones :-)
At first, I was using the Canon SX60 and SX70 for videos and for photos, I'd use the Canon 250D & 77D. Now I use the Canon 250D (Lens: Canon 55 - 250mm) and Canon 77D (Lens: Sigma 150 - 600mm C) for both photos and videos. I only use the Canon SX powershot range when the subject is too far out. At camp, I simply use my mobile phone. There is far better camera equipment out there, like the Canon R-Mirrorless range, which is what most people that can afford are using. Watch this video if you haven't already, this is where I decided to start using the 250D and 77D for videos as well. th-cam.com/video/mBEIhVinuls/w-d-xo.htmlsi=edtobSuXIRAgMdvY. Thanks again for your appreciation. In terms of focal lengths, I just fit the subject to the screen and hope for the best. And I'm forever on auto settings.
So refreshing to see and watch these videos - and from a local this time. Thank you for sharing. A safari similar to this have been on my mind since I was a young man. Now I am only young at heart at 62 :-) Might go to Cape Town in 2024 visiting a friend, and will definetely see if I can somehow spend a couple of day at least in Kruger. Thank you very much young man, outstanding filming, music, narration and everything. Greetings from Norway 🙂
I really appreciate this kind of encouragement, this is the kind of "push" that motivates me (us) to keep going. I really hope to do Overlanding one day, in Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia e.t.c. I hope that you actually do get spend a couple of days in the Kruger, most of all, I wish you all the best sightings. At 62, your life's experiences will probably make you appreciate the Kruger more than most of us. Thank you Mr Kvalheim, stay blessed 🙏
Too dangerous
Very Lekker! Eish man, you guys are lucky. Well done Boet! Another great Video.
Everytime I enter the park, I'm always anxious, "what if we don't see much?". But somehow our luck hasn't run out just yet. Thanks you Johan, as always.
what a great day - that leopard sighting was special
The leopard brightened up our morning. This trip in particular was one of my favorites, everything just fell into place. Thank you Dylan
@@northern.bushman those are the best - when it just happens. we need your luck in December!
Wishing you all the best Sightings.
Very lekker Channel Boet. Keep it up. I really enjoyed your footage.
Thank you Johan. I'm greatful for your encouragement. That's the kind of fuel I need to keep going.
Fantastic video, mixed with stills and narration, excellent job, looking forward to my 5 week Kruger trip in August !!!
Thank you Andy .. 5 weeks ?! Now that's fitting for the Kruger, I'm guessing you'll probably do 4 - 5 different camps, or even 6. All the best 🙌
@@northern.bushman Yes, think I'm up to around 11 camps, from the far south to the far north and back. Looking forward to getting back to the bush !!! Safe travels and happy sightings to you !
The longest I've done in the park in one go was 16 nights, I did 3 camps. I'm a bit jealous. Here's a bit of luck ✨️ from the Northern Bushman 👣, happy Sightings to you too
Great video, really enjoyed watching. If i may ask, what was the issue with copyright?
Thank you Rendani, I'm glad you enjoyed this episode. The copyright issue was with a commercial song that was playing in the background as we were driving, we were playing a bit of music in the car that day. So TH-cam picked it up.
@@northern.bushman Thank you, keep up the good work. You inspire me to travel more.
You did't again, another great video with good music. I wanna go back. Which month was this trip?
Thank you Søs. At the least, I'm happy that you had your share of fun in the Kruger recently. I hope you'll return soon. This trip was around end of August and the beginning of September, a couple years back.
@@northern.bushman Yes we had a fantastic vacation with lot of great sightings. We will be back next year in april, but this time we will stay at a private lodge in greater kruger for 2 weeks, we will do Kruger tours in open vehicle and a very good field guide. But our trip after that will be a selfdrive in Kruger in the dry seson. When will you go again?
I'm pleased to hear that you are already gearing up for you return. I'm usually in Kruger between the months of June and July, this year I'll go in July again, camping in Maroela, it'll be my first time camping there. I'm hoping for lots of great Sightings.
@@northern.bushman I always need to have a trip to Kruger in my calender😎and I'm privileged that w e can do that. I already know that the next trip after april 25 will be in the dry season, we have never been there in your wintertime. I hope for august 2025, but maybe it will be 2026. Enjoy your nec´xt trip, I will wait for more videos.
thanks for the nice video, i want to go!!
Thank you Craig. You have to go to the Kruger, soon hopefully. Thank you for watching 🙌
Wonderful video, the old leopard on the H10 is Porky, he normally goes into the culverts hunting porcupines, been watching him for years, I think he has single handedly decimated the porcupine numbers on that section of the road, sad to see his condition but he is an old man now...thanks for sharing your experiences, your love for Kruger always shines through. God Bless xx 🙏
I've heard about Porky, I just couldn't make the connection before, Then he's a true legend. I'm really thankful for your support for the channel, and most importantly for wishing me (us) well. Thank you Anita, stay blessed 🙌
Cheers My Friend Here To Show love N support Great Video thanks For Sharing
A millions thanks my Friend. I've got nothing but deep appreciation ✌️
Wow! You did it again! Outstanding ... keep them coming! Thank you and God bless!
Thank Annemarie. I'll be camping in Maroela soon, I'll definitely be taking your blessings along with us. Wishing you all the peace and love in the world ❤️
Wow that is beautiful my friend ❤❤❤
Thank you Robert, it's always a pleasure having you here my friend.
Thanks for the great video! How much is the fine if you are late returning to camp??
Thank you 🙏 ... The last time I checked it was R500 at camps, and I think R1500 at Gates. Somewhere around those numbers.
@@northern.bushman thanks for the information! At least they don't leave you out to get eaten!!! We look forward to visiting your country, meeting all the people and seeing the wonderful nature!
@Jonathan_and_Tammie If you are ever in the Kruger National Park, Feel free to let me know. I'll treat you to a South African braai.
@northern.bushman We have a tentative plan... arrive Joberg for a week, drive to Pilanesberg then Marakele, up to Mapungbwe, then in the north gate at Kruger for a month driving south. Then Barberton Geo-route, thru Eswatini, St. Lucia Park, then Drakensburg back to Joberg.
@@northern.bushman We will buy ingredients and beverages if you cook!!
Amazing sightings - so many big cats! We are just back from a KZN trip during rainy season - without any cats (but many rhinos). Well done!
I was watching your video just now. Having that rhino sighting all to yourselves was special. Even though your didn't see any Big Cats, the Wildlife in Hluhluwe is still epic. Thank you.
i lived in knp for some months for a research project and keep coming back eversince... i miss it a lot. and your videos bring the spirit into my living room in germany :)
Hopefully your return will be sooner rather than later. I'm glad that the video portrayed the KNP in a manner that made you feel as though you were there with us. More over, Thank you for your appreciation Tiger🙏.
Great episode Always keep to the "simple" approach it makes the videos even better Thanks for sharing Those sunkissed leopards🤩
Thank you Christiaan. It's always a marvel to get such Leopards, especially when you are very close to camp. I really appreciate your input regarding keeping things simple, makes me feel much better than you know.
Beautiful video! Sad to see that the leopard caught the hyena but it looks like he needed it..
Thank you Anne. Yeah, it's a bit sad, considering that the hyena was still young. He definitely needed the meal, it was an easy kill for him.
Your uploads never disappoint, you're such a Legend 🎉
Thank you my brother. I try my best with what I have. Thanks once more for the support.
Wow, you are a magnet for good sightings! Enjoyed the video, thanks!
Thank you Leon. The day I run my OSV business, I hope I'm still as lucky.
@northern.bushman wow goodluck! You will need a dedicated cameraman then, im very happy to do the job😂
@leonbadenhorst I just took a screenshot of your pledge, In case you go back on your word 😂.
It is always a special experience watching your beautiful videos Karabo. Your narration, high quality camera work, the delicious meals and the beautiful wildlife you capture along with a perfect sound track, make every video fantastic for your viewers. Thank you for your generosity in sharing them. KNP should pay you for advertising.
Thank you Timopo. As time goes, hopefully I'll be able to afford far better equipment. I'm truly humbled. I can only get better from here. Going forward, I'll be exploring other camps more and more. Keep well, stay blessed.
Hi, yet another great video, the male lion passing your car/window wasn’t far from you! Great music at 20.30, love it. Thank you for sharing
Thank you Werner. The male lion passed right next to our car, and he was huge. I'm glad the sound track hit the right notes in blending with that particular Sighting.
You always deliver the best Northern Bushman, keep up the good work.
Thank you Velly. Very soon I'll be camping in Maroela. Let's hope that the sightings around the Orpen area don't disappoint.
Nice one 👌👌 wow i didn't know leopards eats hyenas 😮😮
Thank you Ndivhu. Leopards eat almost anything when they at old age. That's what makes them dangerous.
Ndivhuwo when its your next trip to KNP?
@@Chasing_Sunrise_Adventures July
Wow. Amazing work. ❤
Thank you Ndlovikazi, many thanks filled with lots of appreciation 😀
You guys are so beautiful.
🫠🥰 The both of us are truly humbled and overwhelmed by such appreciation. Thank you once more Ramona.
What an amazing video. Really enjoyed it. Felt like I was there with you. Thank you for sharing
Thank you Ramona. I always love it when viewers align with the simplicity of our videos, making it more about the animals. Hopefully one day, my dream of becoming a full time guide and host will come true.
Oh I forgot to add that seeing the leopard with the quilts in his jaw is very sad. Let’s pray that they eventually fall out.
I hope he didn't get any life-threatening infections, so sad.
Another fantastic video you shared. I absolutely love your videos, amazing photography and I always look forward to the next one. In my life when I lived in South Africa I visited the KNP 40 times. My late parents first entered the park in 1947. A lot changed, for the better I think. You two make the most delicious meals too. I’m planning to fly from UK to Skukuza and spend 9 nights in early April next year with a friend who has never been to KNP. Just need to ask, can one buy a cooler bag and braaivlies grid at Skukuza as we can’t bring all that on a plane. Thank you again for your totally amazing viewing. Bless the both of you and may you always remain safe
I must say, I'm truly honored and grateful for your support towards the channel. I'm actually quite impressed by your love for the park. I hope your friend gets bitten by the Kruger bug on their very first visit. Deep down I hope you return home one day, on a permanent basis 😊. Actually, you can get a cooler box and a braai grid in Skukuza. But since you'll literally have to buy all your supplies from scratch, rather go Malelane Town. The drive down south is rewarding as well, so you'll be killing 2 birds with one stone. Go stock up at Malelane Spar, you'll find everything you need there. Hopefully our paths will cross one day. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you. I wish you many more Kruger adventures and most of all, Good health.
@@northern.bushman Thank you for the info. I will definitely go to the Spar. Im sure he will love the Kruger. How can anyone not? It's a magical place. My late parents ashes were scattered at the look out point in Oxidants camp and I will do the same with my late husbands ashes and I want to be scattered there too. So looking forward to your videos. It would be great to meet you in the Park. It will be an honor. I may return oneday but not now. Safe travels your sidectoo
Aaah man great video! Speaking of luck, we were in Lower Sabie and Berg en Dal this weekend and we only saw 4 of the big five. No lion for us this time. I’m so angry we’re trying again next weekend 😂
Thank you my brother. I once had a trip where I didn't see any lions. I was gutted 😅. There was another trip where I almost didn't see any buffalo, I saw just one buffalo on my way out. These kind of things happen.
Absolutely love your video and the most stunning videos of the animals you were so lucky to see. Thank you for sharing. Blessings to you and your wife and to your travels. Stay safe always
Thank you Tessa. I receive your blessings with an open heart. We were really fortunate to have had such wonderful Sightings. Stay blessed, you and whole family ❤️
Thank you for your amazing video and the stunning video of that young male lion and so nice to hear the sounds from the bushveld
The bush sounds, together with the relaxed lion were a wonder to behold. We didn't want to leave that sighting. Thanks once again Tessa.
Awesome sightings, I think next time I should give Berg en Dal another try.
You really should, without a doubt. Berg-En-Dal is a gem, if offers a lot more than what I've captured. Thank you for watching once more.
Another fellow Kruger lover. Great footage! Subscribed!
Thank you. I appreciate the fact that you are a Kruger lover as well. Always a pleasure interacting with fellow nature lovers.
The entire production - Video quality, narration and music right up there with the best in this genre/category 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you Kulani. I'm truly humbled by such high praise. It's always a pleasure to share what the Kruger has to offer. I'll be sure to always try and improve, even if it's just a little bit at a time.
Beautiful storytelling 🎉
Thank you Gary, For watching and appreciating 🙏.
I can see why you say that the Kruger Park is the best place on earth. It is really special.
Thank you Ken. It truly is special. From the vast landscapes to the atmosphere at camps, it's just a wonder.
Your combination of shots and music are just out of the world, Amazing !
Thank you Charmaine. I always do my best to try and match the soundtrack to "the" sighting. I'm glad you like it, because I'm always skeptical of the end result while editing.
absolutely amazing one thank you
Thank you Gabriel. Much appreciated. That's what nature is like, "ABSOLUTELY AMAZING"
Wonderful footage. Thank you!
Thank you Elna 😊. It means a lot to me and wife. When you enjoy our videos, then our mission has been accomplished.
Hi there, wow, wow 👌 am always watching your clips on this Chanel but not commenting or pressing like buttons but I just did after seing this one Lower Sabie the one completed big 5 wow again Mr Bushman and the Lady Bush 😂u have delivered thanks a million xem I realy love what I see love too much KNP ❤️ too much keep well and b Blessed 😊😊😊 it's Frans Phalaborwa
Thank you Frans. Welcome to the comment section 👌😄. Completing the Big 5 is always a thrill. Lower Sabie is not exactly our favorite camp, but it's situated perfectly 👌. I appreciate your support, both me and the Bushlady.
Your love for the bush is evident for all to see. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Thank you V. It's only a pleasure. Many more "thanks" for you having watched and enjoyed the video, and content. Peace✌️
You truly captured the beauty of the Kruger National Park with top shelf sightings 👌🏾👌🏾
Thank you Ndivhu. The Kruger was Its usual self, full of action. Hopefully it keeps delivering.
Wonderful video. We fell in love with South Africa last year on our first trip and can’t wait to return this year. Thanks for sharing this video 👍🏼
On behalf of all South Africans, Thank you for appreciating our beautiful country. Thank you for watching most importantly, and hopefully you'll back sooner rather than later.
Really nice video….I still can’t believe you did Shingwedzi to Lower Sabie in one big go! No way I would try that, the biggest hop we have done is Letaba to Pretoriuskop in a day and that felt rushed.
Thank you Joe. To be honest, the drive was a drag, we actually would've loved to have stayed at least 2 nights in Shingwedzi. But in this case we were using Shingwedzi as a pit stop. Letaba to Pretoriuskop is still a big leap as well. We once did Phalaborwa gate to Berg-En-Dal - Never Again!!
This video was excellently delivered, you captured the emotive nature of the Kruger Park. You left us feeling like we want to go to the Park right now👌👌. And thanks for the shout out❤
Thank you guys. Hit me up once you're back in the park. I'll be there next month with the gents, and again in April.
We will be there later this month but we will definitely plan something for the near future so we will meet in the park soon.
Great video, really enjoyed. Nothing beats the feeling of meeting the people who supports the channel, well done not forgetting their names like some other people I know 😂😂😂😂
Thank you Makwerhu. Yes, it's always satisfying to meet supporters of the channel, especially when you braai together and have conversations around the fire at camp. Keep well my brother.
Ahee, buti I also enjoy ur clips xem top notch love it a lot b Blessed Frans Phalaborwa
