We are a married couple that love exploring the outdoors within South Africa, Our favorite destination is the Kruger National Park. You will get the chance to connect with nature and encounter wildlife through our travels away from the bright city lights. We love to camp! While sitting at camp, we prepare simple, but delicious Outdoor meals. Food just tastes better when prepared in the outdoors. Come and explore the outdoors with us. The biggest lesson you will have learnt after watching any of our videos is that life’s joys come mostly from relationships and friendships, and not from material things.

Adventure Travel is what we've always loved, and on this weekend, we decided to spend our time at De Wildt 4×4. De Wildt is located in De Wildt area, just a few minutes from Harties. Harties is a tourist town full of fun adventure activities. For the first time, I went on a 4×4 trail. Alexander, the owner at De Wildt 4×4 was the first person to take me up on the trail, Ryno (Jimny Drive / Rolli...

We spent a total of nine nights in the Kruger. 1 Night in Berg-En-Dal, 2 Nights in Lower Sabie, 3 Nights in Satara, and the final 2 Nights were in back in Lower Sabie. Long stays are usually rewarding as there is enough time to go out in search of epic sightings. Once again, the Kruger rewarded us with some awesome moments. The Kruger National Park is always spectacular during the dry season. The grass is not as tall, and animals don't have to deal with the overwhelming afternoon heat. The best thing about the dry winter season is the the fire at camp. We hope that you enjoy(ed) this video. We finally touched ground at Pafuri gate, It had been a long time coming. We've now officially used all existing Kruger National Park gates on the South African side. We used Shingwedzi Rest Camp as a pit stop to Lower Sabie. We saw so tons lions, that was definitely memorable. At sime point, we a sighting of a lioness relocating its cub in Lubyelubye, just 5km from Lower Sabie. We didn't see a...

We camped in Berg-En-Dal for a couple of nights. We were fortunate to see rhinos in their natural habitat. So sad to see them without their horns, their main weapon of defense, and that is mainly due to poaching. Lions weren't shy as well, we had very good lion sightings and a short-lived wild dog sighting. It's always a blessing to see the Big Five when in the Kruger, nothing is taken for gran...

Male Buffalo Attempting To Mate With Another Bull - Kruger National Park
And your meals always look mouthwatering, you sure know how to visit the bush in style!
We try by all means to make the most of our time in the bush. Meals are definitely a big part in it. Thanks once more "Sixty".
Amazing footage of lions!
Thank you. It was a great welcome to the park.
Nice wee vlog 😊 and actually showing what the video title is, not you looking at yourself on your phone Miss SA so.much😢 🙏🇬🇧
Thank you Mairi. Hopefully you'll be back in SA soon enough. Thank you for watching, and obviously enjoying the video. Keep well.
And also with you ✌ Enjoyed this vlog. My wife and I went to Aerial Cableway for our first date in 2015, and watching this vlog has inspired us to go back. Looks like a fun weekend, we'll definitely give DeWildt a visit. I've heard about the hiking trail, but I did not know that they had a campsite. With out camping trailer almost done, this looks like a cool spot to test it out as it's close to home. Thank you!
Yes, De Wildt 4x4 also has a Campsite, three in fact, so your camping trailer would be a perfect fit. You and your wife really ought to visit CableWay again, for old times' sake. I'm honestly happy that you enjoyed the video, and I appreciate you taking the time to appreciate with a comment. Thank you Sello.
How are we supposed to hear the animals and nature sounds, if you play artificial music
@SoniaUK Hi Sonia. I fully agree with you. I actually prefer to have the nature sounds instead of the music. But unfortunately that is not always possible. 80% of the time, we are not alone at a sighting, and other people don't turn off their car engines, making it impossible for the camera microphone to record those beautiful nature melodies. So playing music is the solution. Rather the music than an annoying diesel engine.
@SoniaUK . Your false sense of entitlement is really out of place. Clearly you have no idea of what the Kruger is like. If you want to enjoy the nature sounds and the animals, why don't you go there yourself, it's not like you paid to watch his video.
@Sonia. Sometimes, when you nothing better to say, it's better to keep quiet. Negativity is a disease 👎
@SoniaUK It's easy, just go to the Kruger.
Hey Korabu. Can you post your email in the description as well. Would like to connect with you.
Hi Mike. My email address is karabobaloyi01@gmail.com.
Man, you do great work here. Keep going.

Yes, I'll be in Lower Sabie with Xipandza Mananga. I'm already in the park, he'll join me soon. Thank you Frans, I'm happy that you enjoyed the video, it's all I could hope for. Keep well.
@northern.bushman be safe and enjoy make us proud......
Great video!
Thank you Leon 🙏
Thank you for your well edited videos, I was truly inspired. I will be following in your foot steps and go to Morakele National Park. There is already an argument between myself and my partner because she prefers a tented camp (Tlopi tented camp) while I prefer a ground tent like you did. Needless to say we will come to an agreement somehow. Good bless you and your wife and wish you a happy long union👍
For me, Tlopi looked ok, but I doubt I'd book it. The view from the deck is alright though. Hopefully you'll win the debate and camp in Bontle 😀. Thank you Justice, I'm glad that our videos inspire you to also visit these places, because that's what living is all about. Your blessings very much appreciated. Wishing you all the good things in life.
So, two questions. You put something that looked like soy onto your spuds. What was it? Where did you get the lamb tjops at the end? They look awesome - so thick and juicy. Oh, a bonus third - what's in your dry rub spice bottle? Comment for good luck to prove it's not just about the food: His comment is that we're not flying all that way and spending all that money to go on "that" road...the road up to the lookout. I'm hanging out for That Road.
1. It's actually Balsamic Vinegar, I love the acidity. 2. I bought the lamb chops at PnP Lemon Tree, Alberton. 3. The Rub: biltong spice, garlic powder, onion power, white pepper (ground), black pepper (ground), cayenne pepper, lemon zest (ground), mixed herbs, paprika, a pinch of nutmeg, a pinch of turmeric. The road to the lookout point is definitely worth it, I'd do it again. Overall Marakele is worth visiting, doesn't cost as much as the Kruger (fuel - One full tank is sufficient: Driving from Alberton). Thank you Jolead, your interaction and support is appreciated 🙌
First time watcher! Awesome video, we should hook up sometime. Planning to do a 9 day Namaqualand trip August 2025.
Namaqualand!! I'm actually planning on doing the Kgalagadi next year. That would be awesome, to kill 2 birds with one stone. Thank you Levi. Let's communicate via DMs.
Great episode Northern Bushman Was really looking forward to this episode and it really didnt dissapoint😁
Aaaah, music to my ears. I was a bit anxious, especially after I'd posted the pics on Instagram, before the TH-cam upload. Thank you Christiaan, It means a lot .
Here for the scenery and beautiful animal shots! always exciting to see a new upload. Keep up the good work. Inspired.
Much appreciated, nature is spectacular whichever way you look at it. Thank you Mmane, for watching and for your kind words.
I enjoyed watching this episode, next time pls invite me and my wife to one of ur trips
Thank you Mpho. You are more than welcome to join us, you can DM me on Facebook or Instagram (Northern Bushman).
Great episode an y’all feast like kings and qeens in the bush. Beautiful stuff.
One thing that you'll have time for in the the bush, is a good meal, nothing else to do while at camp 😃. Thank you Maphiri, big ups
Would love to see videos of your camping food with recipes!
I'd love to do that one day, have a cooking channel about dishes made in the bush, you've sparked something there. Thank you for watching Tobias.
I subscribed within one minute of watching. I have a feeling I am about to watch a gem
I have a feeling you have found your new home here 😀. Thank you Kititi. Keep well, more and more adventures will follow.
So good to see a video from you again, beautiful scenery. I'm sure it will so beautiful when is green. Hope you will soon be back in KNP.
We really needed this one. We are going to the Kruger now in November. I really miss the park. Thank you Søs. It's always a pleasure interacting with you. 4 months to go for you, hang in there.
Peaceful and therapeutic scenery, and the braai was awesome. Is the luck running out😂😂?
I'm going to the Kruger soon, my luck will really be tested then 😀. The scenery is certainly therapeutic, and the braais are a big element of every camping trip.
@northern.bushman cannot wait for the uploads
Grootman can you please just upload something 😢
@Chasing_Sunrise_Adventures 😅 Soon, I'm almost done with Episode 1 from my last trip. 3 videos are coming your way 🙌
There are no Rhinoceros at Marakele. Those are African Battle Unicorns 😂😂
Rhinos would definitely be useful in battle 😀, I saw a Rhino (CGI) featured in Gladiator 2 (Trailer). I totally get you. Thank you
Awesome video! Re a le boha, from a pale Southern Mountainman 😂😊
Thank you, it's always a pleasure to visit these places, record some footage and share with you guys. I'm sure you enjoyed the mountainous landscape.
Great video! Missed you guys ... happy anniversary and God bless. ❤
It feels good to be back in the bush again. Our sanity depends on it 😀. Thank you Annemarie, be blessed 🙌. Thank you for always watching.
Always exciting to see a notification when you drop!!! Absolutely amazing episode.
It's been a while, but I have a long Kruger trip lined up soon, Should be able to produce at least 2 videos before the end of February. Thank you for the continual support Phuluso.
I really do enjoy your videos. Helps me escape from this dreary weather. You seem to catch the essence of the bush. Rhinos are extraordinary creatures. I was very fortunate to have done a guided walk in the Matopas in Zimbabwe. BUT... That road to the viewpoint point 😱😱😱😱 Rewarding though. Keep up the good work.
Easy road, that. Drive on the horizontal part. No problem. 🎉😊
Rhinos are extraordinary creatures, it's a just shame we have to dehorn them for their own safety. I'd love to do Zimbabwe one day, all of Southern Africa. The drive to the viewpoint is exhilarating. Thank you Peter
Beautiful video
Thank you for watching Mel. Nature is indeed beautiful.
Awesome video, it's or Rhinos. Some of The elephants in Marakele are so cheeky.
At least you had an elephant encounter 😀. I searched and searched for Ellies with no luck. Thank you Maemu
Great episode, brother! I'm seriously considering visiting this place in the near future.
You should definitely do it soon after our Kruger trip. Thank you brother 🙏
Wow great video Mr Northern bushman ❤❤
Thank Bra Vusi, It's always good to have you here 👌
Love this video i used to go to Pilanesberg in morning get bored then go to Marakele then back to jhb .... That drive up to Lenong is Brutal . Love braais bru lekker meat .
True, the drive up to Lenong is something else, Going up is ok, but the constant braking when driving down can be a bit too much. Nothing like a braai in the bush. Thank you Riaaz
stunning video!
Thank you Graeme. I hope all is still well with you 🙏.
Great video Karabo please 🙏 next visit show us your face your wife coz we don't know you watching from Limpopo (Tzaneen)
We'll try to appear more 😀. We are just camera shy. We do appear here and there in other videos. Thank you Bra Chris. Keep well.
Just stumbled onto your channel... Amazing video and what an incredible entry to the Kruger. Stuff dreams are made off. I get to enjoy the sightings in miserable UK 😂😂
Yeah, We had an incredible entry into the park. The bar was set high. I'm glad that you found our channel and that you enjoyed the video. Thank you Peter.
What month was this
The trip was in the month of April.
Thank you have just come back think I need to go in April lol
@@stephencook9800 LOL, To be honest, in my opinion, any time of the year is just fine.
Spent a month in Kruger I just liked how green it was in your video
The green bush does give that special Kruger feel, I totally get you.
Thank you for your amazing video. Stay safe
I'm hoping to be back in the park soon enough. Thank you Tessa. Keep well.
Great video.. Thank you so much 😊
Thank you Heather. It's always a pleasure to share. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Really enjoyed watching. Thank you so much!
Thank you for watching Vimil, and the fact that you enjoyed the video makes me feel good about myself.
I love your videos and content! Always amazing being in the bush and keep up the great stuff
Thank you Suleiman. I'm greatful for your appreciation, this is the fuel (your support) that keeps me going 🙏
Once again thank you for bringing KNP into my Malaysian home. I really miss getting into the park but your videos and others help a lot. You have a beautiful wife too. You are not too shabby either😂. Take good care of yourselves and may we be blessed with many more great videos! Thanks!!!!
The last day of this trip was one of those days wherein the fact that we were leaving the park didn't go down very well. I can't wait to go back. We were actually supposed to have visited Marakele, but couldn't, so we postponed our booking. But now my wife wants us to go back to Kruger in October, next month. Fingers crossed. You honestly had me blushing 🥰, my wife sends her appreciation as well. The next time you come back to South, just stay, FOR GOOD 😁. You've got that Mzansi spirit in you. Thank you Marcia.
I enjoyed your video. What video camera do you use?
Thank you Stewart. I use the Canon 250D and 77D, not the best when it comes to Wildlife photography, but I try 🙏
Love this! An amazing trip and sightings ♥️🔥
Thank you Suleiman, we always appreciate every trip and its Sightings, this one was one of kind.
T-bone! Love it.
There's nothing like a steak in the bush. Thank you Damian
Thank you, great video.
Thank you Marcia. A warm welcome to channel. Much appreciated 🙌
@@northern.bushman I currently live in Malaysia so I really miss Knp very much. Watching your videos and others brings Knp into my home over here and it makes my heart very happy. The food you cook up always looks so lekker! Makes me long for home! Thanks again, keep up the great work!
@MarciaBeckley-n2d I sincerely hope that you'll a chance to return to the Kruger soon. And I'm happy that our videos bring you into touch with the magic of the Kruger. And yes, God bless all those youtube channels dedicated to sharing the beauty of the park. I really appreciate your support. Thanks once more Marcia 🤗
Great video, what month was this?
Thank you Jonathan. This trip was in the beginning of June 2024
Thank you, planning a trip end of September next year is that a good time to go?
@johnathanbester5146 End of September - Beginning of October is the best period I think. Just because the rainy season begins. But at the end of the day, you'll still a bit of luck, and most importantly, patience. Wishing you many awesome Sightings 🙌
@@northern.bushman thank you 🙏🏼
you got yourself a Follower
@elvisndobe3063 Thank you Elvis, many more adventures will follow 🙌
The 4x4 looks fascinating, and the drone footage is on fire! 🔥
It is, taking one's 4×4 vehicle on the trail is worth the training. Thank you my brother.
Your videos never disappoint.... what camera are you using , looking to upgrade
Thank you Paulo. I used the Canon SX70 on this one, phone footage as well. In my opinion, anything less than 4k quality is a step backwards. I mainly use the 250D and 77D, both not capable of 4k recording.
@@northern.bushman my camera is a sony HD very old but need to do research, maybe get a camera that can take photos and film instead of just filming
I totally agree, one definitely needs a camera that can do both, if not 2 cameras, especially at sightings where the subject is constantly on the move.
@@northern.bushman agreed, time to hunt for a camera going to the Kruger in December, first 5 nights at tambotie tents then 3 nights Skukuza tents... can't wait
All the best Paulo, I'll be spending New Year's eve in Lower Sabie. I also can't wait.
Definitely have to try this place out
You definitely ought to. The environment is child friendly as well.
