Hey I got a question that I was wondering if you could help with. So I’m making a battle of the budge and one of the things I want is the Germans to run into the battle then go into free mode. I got all the “code”/ triggers set up for that where they will spawn on hold then run to their way points where they will go back into free mode. However when they spawn they barely move and just shoot. The tanks move as they should going to their waypoints and so on. So I’m wondering if you may know how to force them to run to their waypoint with out them first stopping to shoot where they get shot? Thanks
Hey, in the 'actor_state' you'll see an option called 'AI_move'. Select the drop down box, select disable. They should then ignore the enemy shooting at them and they should ignore when they get injured. When you select disable, there is another drop down box below it. Here you can select the injured box or enemy box. If either are selected they will react to the selected option. When you want the AI to react to enemies or just want them back to default. Place another 'actor_state' and select enable. That should put the AI back to default. Let me know how you go with this 🙂

hey man love the videos! I found out a nice way of making it look smoother for take off is to under airstate change it to click ground and change the airstate to 1for most of the runway i got it looking pretty good now

For anyone having issues with vehicles not moving in the Gem Editor: Ensure you create both the vehicle and the crew. Assign the same player to both the vehicle and the crew. Use the Numpad keys (Numpad 1 = Player 1, Numpad 2 = Player 2, Numpad 3 = Player 3) on the right side of your keyboard to toggle between players.
Completely unrelated but how do I get the troops to ignore cattle cus whenever I'm in the editor they go out of their way to kill all animals on the map
I would put the cattle on a neutral team. Make sure you have set the diplomacy options to reflect the neutral team. If the cattle have been placed in 'F2' mode then click on the cattle and give them a player colour. Just make sure that player colour is neutral
did you find the nuke in the editor? Assault Squad II had a nuke lol
Hey mate, I had a quick look and I didn't see the nuke in the game. However, if you wanted too, you could import the nuke into gates of hell.

FYI. Douglas C-47 included in Airborne DLC under Vehicles/USA. My Valor and M.A.C.E. mods are deactivated. sidebar: unfortunate friendly fire incident. I had another Player-1 soldier on the ground. When the paratroops landed, they are still Player-2. Player-1 soldier immediately opened fire and kill the lead paratroop. Then, the paratroops became Player-1, and there was a cease fire.
when using switch and case i always do .33 .66 and 1so that always one squad spawns
I tried using the Board command for a soldier to use a Browning MG. I tagged both the soldier and MG. The target was the MG's tag. I placed the Board command at a WP next to the MG. Soldier did not use the MG. I also tried the Enter command; same result. Is there a different command to enter weapons?
Did you setup the WP command in the 'Triggers Tab'? This will tell the soldier to use the waypoint path. Make sure the MG turret and the soldier have different tags. Place the 'Board' command on the WP itself, that way when the soldier runs to the waypoint the soldier will activate the command on the waypoint. Otherwise, put the 'Board' command in the trigger tab like in the tutorial. The board command can be used for any vehicle in the game. Let me know how you go mate

@@milkcookiesngames9272 Yep, I believe I tried that prior to posting here. Perhaps I missed something. Map consists of three entities: soldier (tag: usa), MG (tag: browning_mg) and a brick wall. Two WP: WP11 (actor-to-waypoint action at start trigger), WP 12 (location of the MG). At WP12, there is an action to board. I tried putting a link here to my map/mission file, but YT keeps erasing the post

@RamblinRick_ have you got hidden tags? If so, you need to click the clone box. If you don't have hidden tags, then there is no need to tick the clone box
I make the not the bird maps for gates of hell. You're doing a great job. The map looks great. Funny to see you run into the same problems as me and have the same solutions. When it comes to Entities it is best to separate checks for humans, tanks, and vehicle detection. That way the zones can check if humans are dead and the others are uninhabited. This can be done through the Type dropdown in Entities. Hope this helps as it's still faster than tagging each man inside a gun or tank.

More, more, we need more Mission Creation videos. I'm a complete, total noob to the Editor. Heck, I learned how to properly EMIT troops at a Waypoint just yesterday. Also, learned, VERY IMPORTANT, use F3 to place troops, vehicles, anything Player is to interact with. DO NOT USE F2 to place these things...which I was doing. Huge mistake. I want to make Missions. I've not the patience to make Maps. sidebar: The one thing that really irritates me about about troop/vehicle/entity placement is that you cannot rotate nor elevate when initially placing. You need to stop placement, so you can click the entity to move, rotate, and elevate it.

Decent guide and all but you didn't say how to pull up things such as the Tags menu.
Hey there, I have mentioned it in other videos. In order to bring the tags menu, press 'CTRL+T' or you can press 'U' and select the tags menu. You can also press 'ALT+T' to see the tags you've given to units without having to select them and go into the tags menu. I hope this helps.

Do you know how to attach entities to train wagons in GoH GEM editor ? It seems g_link doesn't work yet there are train wagons with ammo boxes attached inside them and I can't figure out how to do it.

Hey mate, it definitely can be done. It's not difficult but I haven't scripted that in a while. Basically its the same as the reinforcement menu I did on my other video except instead of infantry its the paratroopers. I'll experiment with it and see how I go 🙂

@Aknayelth hey mate have a look at my basic gem editor video. There is a tab called terrains where you paint the terrain, for example, sand, dirt, or grass. You gotta paint the ocean with the water terrain effect. I'm not talking about textures that's separate tab.

You might have to add tags to the crews themselves but usually the crews change side when the vehicle does. let me know how you go with that mate

What if I want to make none of the vehicles random after the lead vehicle?
nvmd figured out that I just copy the same thing as the lead vehicle and add the delay between the vehicles
This never worked for me. I followed every scripting instruction down to the letter and every time the lca speeds up and runs aground. Anybody know what I'm missing?
I think your waypoint where the LCA comes to a stop might be too close to the beach. You can change the speed of the unit in the 'actor_state' command. Try normal speed and adjust the waypoints positions. Let me know how you go mate.

If I place a waypoint with an offset altitude, can I use the same trigger action to simulate an Anti Aircraft targeting? Another question. Does searchlights work like guns can you randomize a searchlight path? Useing waypoints? Thank you for your amazing work.
