Cerakote Automotive Headlight Restoration Kit and using Adams Polishes cordless polisher with compound and polish, also Stjarnagloss clay lube, Chemical guys clay block, and chemical guys pads and towels.
Step 1 - clay block the headlights with soapy water or clay lube

Closing both halves of the transmission cases. Showing how I do it. Took me about 1:30 to 2 hrs to close. All shift forks have to be pointed vertically up to fully close. When you lay the half case on top, the shift forks will go down and you’ll need to align them up one by one. Hope this video helps.

    My brother in law works in a place that has an aluminium foundry. They cast aluminium pulleys and the like. I've wondered if these parts cast in aluminium would work.

      only plastic. metal is not allowed. metal will kill the solenoids. because the metal shavings are dirt

    Nice work! I just purchased a 2010 Ralliart with a 'bad' transmission and am looking to get it working, starting with removing and inspecting the mechatronic and valve body unit. These videos are very helpful. Quick question - did you replace the gaskets between the mechatronic unit and the transmission or just leave them on and re-install? I'm seeing a few for sale online, but not a ton of them. Even Jack's doesn't show them on their site.... Thanks!

    May be a stupid question… But what if you were to run NO springs. Like literally remove them and the retainers and just run it like that. I feel like If All it did was cause a little vibration, it’d be worth it

      I've wondered that too. It probably wouldn't even cause vibration, maybe just rougher shifts.

    I just got my $10,000 transmission with brand new everything... 5th gear keeps getting blocked. I have to take mine out too and send it back. It makes me happy I'm not alone. Misery loves company.

      If you’re talking about the clutch damper with springs, I cut it open. If you’re talking about the basket, there’s only a big o-ring holding it together

    Very informative. I wish we had cnc metal replacements for those plastic pieces and titanium springs. This would literally solve ALL of the torque damper issues 100%

      @@josezamora7889 Why not? You would be doing SST community a favor and having a solid solution to an existing problem. If you were are able to make metal pieces for all the plastic in the torque damper and replace the springs with titanium or something....this would be bullet proof!

    did you have to close the last bit of gap with bolting up or did it just fall into place with no gap? I had about a quarter inch gap and then fitted all the bolts and slowly got it togeather.

      Yes, you’ll have a small gab around quarter of an inch, after that you’ll have to bolt it to close the gab
