I wonder if that was for the street machine version and someone decided on doing the dual air cleaner as a last minute idea, or if it was first introduced in the oval track "Modified Stocker" racer. Sadly, I wasn't able to find the instruction sheet online for the Modified Stocker to compare it too.

It does have lots of photos of parts. It has single carb manifold and chrome airfilter with the flap.👍.

You are welcome Pete. It sure has been a lot of work and discovery on this model to get it right. I am not sure if I will ever make such a detailed build video again as most of the other AMT kits don't have all the issues that this kit does. I am looking at attempting the AMT 1969 Dodge Daytona (With nose, filler pieces and wing) as the next kit, and I have already figured out what I am going to try to do to make the troublesome nose fit on...but after that, the rest of the kit fits well together, and the only other issue is the excessive flash on the parts. But now that second troublesome kit seems easy compared to this Ford.

For sure on those door panels. Again though, I am just building this to the point where the average Joe can get the pieces to fit and so that I can get all the issues resolved. I should get another and do an all out, engine wired, inner door panel parts and whatever else to really jazz it up version. I'd also like to do a dragster, now that I sorted out that all those parts are still in the kit to some degree. Maybe use the dragster decals from the 1966 Galaxie kit on there too.

Thanks, That hood scoop I think is Perfect size for All sorts of car kits, I built my first 49 Ford with a Tonneau Cover on Roll Bar covering back seat, in Tribute to Bob Falfa's 55 Chevy White Tonneau Cover in American Graffiti covering back seat. The Extra Hood Scoop from 49 Ford kit I put on the AMT 51 Fleetline. Anyway, Appreciate the Time, Thanks Again

@@slougo5909 One scoop is for the hood, the second is for the roof. That was a custom trend from 1958.

Wish I knew that about the mesh grille. Thank you for the enlightenment. I was wondering why the curve didn't touch the edges of the head lights. Yes, the wheels and tires are not quite "Period Correct", but hopefully by me shortening the backs, they are a bit more realistic to NASCAR.

I don't think Testors will discontinue all their square bottle paints, but I do have some in my collection they don't carry anymore, like a light orange and dark green gloss. - I also have a collection of Model Master paints, especially the engine colors.

@@MonsterHobbiesModelCarGarage I will have to practice what you have shown. I hope these techniques also work on Testors Flat paints for some of my WWII models.

@@SCIGS30 They will. You just have to be careful in handling the flats after as they tend to get finger print oil in them really easily.

I think you missed the part where I said the rocker panel line should be curved and that on that model I accidentally made it straight because I scribed the line in there years ago, before I knew it was curved. - but I did say that and on the other model car body, I do have that curve in there. Anyway, I am glad you fixed the other problems with your kit. I have an issue because on my stock engine, I used the high rise "NASCAR" intake manifold because originally it was going to be a NASCAR motor until I discovered the dual carb air cleaner issue and had to swap the engine. Ahh...it's too complicated to try and spell it out. You'll have to wait and see the rest of the upcoming videos to see what I am doing.

I've also just looked at 69 Cobra rocker panel lines on a yellow car,the lines show up well exposing a horizontal line going from bottom rear corner of doors to the rear wheel arch🤓😃I've just been adding them😂

@@MonsterHobbiesModelCarGarage it's the line of the upper edge of the rocker panel to the rear quarter panel join. It is hard to see as body line half hides it in most videos.

@@MonsterHobbiesModelCarGarage I've got the kit to about the same stage as you at the end of this video. I put a 1mm thick tombstone shape into the whole depression behind the water bottle. It fills the arch hole and the bit below water bottle. I also found i could safely remove most of the round,pin towers,either side of the radiator and tidy it up with strip,to give a squared off,radiator framework.😃sorry that's a bit hard to explain😧 I'm worried about your next video. 😧You may have found more faults that I have yet to enjoy😃

@@petesmodelcarcustoms584 I considered cutting the tubes off the radiator support wall, but I didn't want to get too far into totally reconstructing the mode. Maybe on my next one.....maybe! LOL! Don't worry Pete...there IS more issues with this kit. I am currently working on the 5th video in this series. I almost have the model finished...and there's still issues. Will it ever end?

I've also enjoyed spotting the differences from each release and doing my best with the kit. Your interior and roll cage shots are helpful too👍😃

Glad I can help. Well, I was working off and on on the model today and I have the factory stock interior finished as well as the chassis and exhaust system...which also has a slight fit issue, but it was the easiest issue to resolve. I still have the NASCAR interior unpainted. The hardest part is to try and sort out a paint scheme for the car. I want to attempt to use the kit supplied decals which are 2 shades of orange and dark green and finding a color combination for them is a bit of a challenge. I could go with a light blue, a cream color, white, light yellow, purple (And hope the decals are not translucent) or an even paler green or orange or even gloss black. Sadly, the interior also has to be painted this "mystery color" like they do in NASCAR. I just don't know what the color is going to be yet, so there's my delay. I'm also not sure if I should paint the dashboard and roll cage semi-gloss black for an anti-glare feature or paint those body color. Oh, and I also think I have to drill a hole under the stock hood scoop to allow the air cleaner ram air "Shape" to fit in the hole and allow the hood to sit down flat. - Yet another issue. UGH!

Great tip! I was going to fill it with some putty, but I think trying to sand it at that angle to smooth it out would be difficult as I believe the tools don't want to go there without a fight.

Not at all....but I am hoping that after I make this entire video series, no one will ever have to do that again! I'm putting myself up as the willing victim to struggle through and find all the faults and correct them. I started with 23 things I found wrong with the kit, and then the list got longer and longer. That's one way to do it. Just be careful on removing the inner chassis bars that way because the aria is quite thin.
