    Hey Kelly! I'm thinking about doing a podcast with a guest. Is it possible to have two rings (one for each speaker) and have the audio visualizer recognize which speaker is speaking?

    • @KellyRushTechSmith
      @KellyRushTechSmith 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question! It's absolutely possible to do this! You can actually add as many Audio Visualizers to a Camtasia project that you want, the only catch is that the Audio Visualizer will try to visualize any audio playing on the timeline. To get around this, you'll want to isolate each of your speakers to their own audio track, put each in a separate group, and then add the Audio Visualizer inside each group. Groups act as a sort of "shield" that blocks audio from outside the group, and so in that way your Audio Visualizer will only animate what's happening inside of the group.

    Thank you so much, I've been using Camtasia for a long time but I learnt a couple of things watching this video (newer features I wasn't aware of since updating from an older version to 2023 recently). By the way, have you done any tutorial on the effect at 1:18, magnifying a section of the interface? I need to do that all the time, and I do it by duplicating the original track, cropping it, then animating it (to increase size and/or move it), etc. But it's a tedious process and I often wonder if there could be an easier, more straightforward way. Also, I often myself having to copy the properties and effects of the duplicated/magnified section to the next track (when I have recorded them separately and I need to keep the visual continuity between them) and it's really a pain not having a keyboard shortcut or a "quick copy/paste badge" on the clip itself to copy/paste quickly (I have to right click, copy properties, right click, copy effects, then go to the other clip, right click, paste properties, right click, paste effects). Thanks in case you reply and have a great day!

    • @KellyRushTechSmith
      @KellyRushTechSmith 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, thanks for watching and great questions! The process you described is pretty much the same thing that I did at 1:18: Duplicate the track, crop, animate, resize (I even added some effects to it). It's easy enough, but can be a bit of a pain when you want to use it more than once or twice. Good idea for a feature! Same for quickly copying/pasting effects/properties from different pieces of media. Something to think about, for sure... Thanks again for dropping by! 🙌

    Hi, I'm currently trying out Camtasia but the problem is the dynamic background comes as default. I don't want it because I have designed my studio as a background. Simple question, how do I turn it off.

    • @KellyRushTechSmith
      @KellyRushTechSmith 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello! Dynamic backgrounds have to be added to your project by hand in most cases, so you shouldn't have to turn it off. Perhaps what you're encountering is our new Rev workflow, which CAN add a Dynamic Background by default after recording? If so, to turn this off, simply disable the Rev slider at the bottom-right corner of the Camtasia Recorder window, before you begin a recording. Alternatively, you can also choose to turn off the background in the Rev interface after you make a recording.

    • @KellyRushTechSmith
      @KellyRushTechSmith ปีที่แล้ว

      GREAT question! You certainly CAN do that! One thing to keep in mind though is that when you group an Audio Visualizer in Camtasia, the visualizer will NOT look for audio outside of the group. If you have your audio inside of the group WITH the visualizer...no problem. If, however, you have your audio OUTSIDE of that group, the visualizer won't display anything. You'll need to, in that case, either ungroup the group that the visualizer is in, or cut/paste your audio INSIDE the group with the visualizer. We designed it this way so that you could, for instance, have an audio track playing in the background that won't visualize, but can still have talking narration that DOES visualize.

      @@KellyRushTechSmith This is MUCH quicker for me to customize than Resolve Studio and Motion Array. Some projects require 10 hours of effort, others, are perfect for 15 minutes of Camtasia ease of use!!

      @@lastsonofthewest2444 The right tool for the right job, for sure! I think that's one of the most powerful aspects of what we have with Dynamic Backgrounds here. We start you off with a good base, and make it easy for you to do a few quick tweaks to customize it and make it unique to your project in less than a few minutes.

    After all, even after a long wait, the Audio Syncronise Feature was not given in Camtasia. audio syncronise is a very important feature that will take Camtasia a lot further but don't know why Camtasia is not able to add this feature. I have waited for this feature for almost a long time but now it seems that it will not be possible that's why I have now shifted to other software... My experience with Camtasia was okay but this feature would have been better Could... ThankYou Camtasia

      If you check in the Dynamic Backgrounds folder of the default Camtasia 2023 Library, there are some backgrounds that you might consider to be good for those kinds of videos. We'll definitely keep your feedback in mind though, as we look to build more of these Dynamic Backgrounds in the future. Thanks for the feedback!

    Are canvas rulers available for Camtasia for Mac V2022.4.2. I cannot seem to find it ?

      Good question! At the moment, Canvas Rulers for Camtasia are only available on Windows. Look for them to be coming on Camtasia for Mac in the near future!

    Why does it only show up to 0,3 in the 10th of a second......I am trying to use this counter to track a race. We timed it using a stop watch and the 10th of a second digits were up to 9 so cannot seem to sync. Any help would be appreciated.

    This is great. Are there any plans to add such search functionality to other areas of the software? I'm thinkin the Library primarily but also effects perhaps.

    • @KellyRushTechSmith
      @KellyRushTechSmith 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Cristi, thanks for the feedback! Library should already have a search option (unless I misunderstood what you're looking for). Effects is a good idea, that's starting to become a decent list in there. I'll make sure we keep that in mind.

      How about having a search function for finding fonts instead of endless scrolling through the list?

    Does Camtasia allow users to create and add micro animations?

    • @KellyRushTechSmith
      @KellyRushTechSmith 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question Jerry. The micro animations in Camtasia 2022 are a combination of Lottie files and Quick Property Assets (with some clever media matte effects under the hood in the group). If you drop one onto the timeline and open up the group, it's pretty easy to get an idea for how they were created. So long as you can figure out how to get a Lottie file of the animation you want to create into Camtasia, you can definitely create your own micro animations!

    That was quite masterful and thanks for posting, KR. I initially thought you had produced the whole wave form clip in AE. It's great to see how you changed the clip using native Camtasia affects. Impressive stuff indeed, expect to see lots of this effect on youtube soon - I certainly will be using it on my videos going forward! I love the idea of sprucing up Camtasia Videos with the odd bit os AE polish, makes it look just that extra bit professional. Thanks for posting (I must look into audiate too...) KP

      Very cool Kevin, would love to see what you come up with! And definitely, Camtasia can be a really powerful tool, either on its own or by leveraging other apps like Audiate, After Effects, and more. We continue trying to push what the technology can do, and seeing what you all are working on and creating really drives us forward. Keep on inspiring us! :)
