Just out of curiosity, I did a teeny bit of research and cost comparison, and the 500kg bomb would likely be most closely related to(in American terms at least), a 1000 lb Mk83 General Purpose Bomb used by the USAF. Those cost roughly $400 a piece in 2001, and would probably cost somewhere in the vein of $700 or so today, with inflation factored in, each if that price has held. Sidewinder missiles require a lot more advanced technology than a simple bomb being dropped from a fighter-bomber.

My lore theory is that before the First Galactic War, Cyberstan was originally a penal colony. Because the climate on Cyberstan was so harsh and hostile, I think it would make sense that Super Earth would send their criminals and undesirables there to mine resources. Free labor and probably didn't send much food and resources to them

The blood is ours, we bleed when injured and thrown around. We also do come back with oil on us if we get splashed at close range, so that was an lie. You're coming back with more blood on you because you're keeping them at range and getting shot a lot. If you've ever melee killed basic troopers they certainly leave oil on you.

I have a new idea; what if the reality is that Super Earth are the rebels and the true government is a government in exile? That could make you not only a part of a villainous faction but also completely flip the scrip for rebellions in fiction most of the time.

I like how in the first war Super Earth propaganda uses military or fighting terms to describe the bugs i.e. "scout", "vanguard", "commander", "warrior", god damn "TANK" but in the seccond game they tend to use a verb often associated with animals i.e. charger (rhino, buffalo, bull", hunter, pouncer, hopper, stalker, spitter.

I'd like to use this opportunity to state a theory of my own regarding terminid biology. To start, I would like to put forward that perhaps the reason the terminids are so highly adaptable is that they are capable of "RNA editing" which is an ability common among squids and octopi on our own planet (funnily enough the ancient terminids also had eight limbs, a funny coincidence). To tie into this it also worth mentioning that some modern members of the terminid species still maintain their 7th and 8th limbs i.e. the pouncer genetic line (technically a wing is still a limb, though something weird is that the stalkers have 2 sets of wings while everything before it only has 1, I'll talk more about this later.) If you look at a terminid scavenger you can see that it is divided into to 2 pieces, the heavily armoured thorax and the squishy abdomen. Looking at the abdomen you can see it has thin keratin scales/exoskeleton giving it structure and rudimentary protection, I assume the scavenger will grow more scales and more layers for those scales as they grow up. Looking at the terminid warrior (assuming you believe 1 grows into the other) you can see the scales have increased from 4 to 6 and have become harder (this happens with the charger as well). The spewer genetic line does also has some form of internal support or endoskeleton which can be seen after their abdomen explodes, also the terminid bile spewer has a more armoured back compared to a nursing spewer, though the nursing spewer does still have scales though less visible. I assume, looking at the terminid charger's breath on colder planets (which is divided into 2 streams) that it has a septum meaning that its heart, lungs and various other pieces of their bodies are divided in half, much like ours. Their lungs, which would be necessary for providing creatures their size(s) with oxygen, are likely located in the thorax along with the heart (needed for pumping the aforementioned oxygen around the body). Terminids likely have green blood for a reason similar to why we have red blood. We have red blood because of something called haemoglobin in our blood that helps bond the necessary materials our blood cell carry around our body, terminids' blood probably uses a different binding that causes a green colouration. I believe that terminid eggs are closer to plants than the eggs of SUPER EARTH'S!! cold blooded animals. On the "destroy terminid eggs" mission you can see after destroying them that there is still a type of support system left over which I believe both supports the unborn bug and provides nutrients through a system of roots. I think of the eggs as more of an external womb as you can see the eggs moving, it also likely means the nursing spewers create a fertiliser by digesting food to nearly pure nutrients. The reason humanity has babies is interesting to me because as our brains grew larger our hips stayed the same size and so we started having babies earlier so they could pass through our hips and then develop outside the womb. But if the terminids don't have to pass children out of their hips the children would be fully developed and intelligent. Though I still believe the terminids develop outside the womb on occasion when the conditions are safe, which is where the larvae come from. So it's a choice between one full effort terminid or a bunch of low effort terminids. If you believe the Helldiver wiki you may hear that terminid spores are a separate species to the bugs but I don't like this theory and so present this as an alternative. So here's a little chart showing how I think terminid recreation works. Terminid -> spores -> spore spewer/egg Spore spewer -> spores -> eggs -> terminids Eggs -> terminids For the "terminids to spores to eggs" part of this theory it could potentially happen asexually or with a partner if you truly wish to believe the wiki. I would quickly like to mention how well the people at arrow head have written and developed the terminids, I love the little consistencies that they have added into each type of bug. As an example, did you know every terminid has a set of horns/tusks coming down from their heads, the most prominent examples of I know of are on the the charger, behemoth, scavenger and hive guard. These are just above the mandibles, also terminids are implied to lose their mandibles as they grow up, just look at the terminid pouncer and hunter and you'll see. Also you can see the xenomorph inspiration in their design. Looking at the bugs from the first war you can see that the "scouts" and "vanguard" units have 6 feet but the vanguard have wings and are essentially mini pouncers. I assumed their 4th pair of limbs evolved into the wings and that the scouts had a set of hidden wings and "levelled up" to vanguards as their wings grew. This was how I thought some terminids lost their 7th and 8th limbs, they stopped growing out their wings but now I don't think this is how it happened. I think instead it was that one terminid was born with deformed limbs and then SUPER EARTH in their great wisdom bred that terminid across the terminid line. Again this all a theory. The stalker's invisibility is one of the strangest abilities of the terminids but if you believe the theory that the stalker was an assassin then it makes quite a lot of sense. Terminids did at one time have eyes and stalker invisibility may have evolved as a means to deceive other terminids' senses. We know that at least one terminid saw using vibrations, the Hive Lord, it is then also likely that other terminids see through vibrations, hence why stalkers have rudimentary flight, distribute their weight and are very light footed. How I imagine it works is that terminids detect vibrations through their legs, maybe some kind of muscle generates a vibration that bounces back like echolocation. So how I think terminids sense things is through hearing, vibrations, smell, taste and touch. As subterranean creatures it makes sense their eyesight was terrible and termites which the terminids are based on are also slowly losing their eyesight for other senses. The shriekers probably use echolocation based on how much they scream. I'm so sorry this so long but I'm very passionate about this topic as I find their evolutionary biology so fascinating.

The "cloaked" ships are most likely glitched out super destroyer models. They can be occasionally seen falling to the planet after being shot down by the automatons. The fact that they only appear over automaton controlled/contested worlds tells me it's probably this same "being shot down" animation that isn't working as intended. Since the terminids don't fire at them, there's no way for this glitch to happen over their planets.

I think maybe the suggestion that the use of the Time Turner drives you ‘mad’ is more the idea of what the suggestion of what its use could do to you and how it would occupy your mind. Imagine you had a Time Turner, you would be constantly plagued with thoughts of using it, what you could do with it, you could loose track of time and days depending on how often it was used - as well as thoughts of seeing yourself, not knowing whether your future self had used it - knowing things that have already happened without the ability to change them or tell anybody - making present decisions would mean nothing, you would be aware of the possibility that nothing you do is defined in time. I would definitely be driven mad walking around Hogwarts wondering if i was going to bump into my future self at some point by accident or catch a glimpse . This is why i feel Dumbledore felt Hermione could handle the notion of utilising time for her education. It’s definitely maddening, seeing yourself i guess is suggested to be kind of like the idea that we can’t comprehend what nothingness feels like - its maddening in that the temptation is always there to meet yourself, however you would never know the reaction of either versions of yourself until it happened.

18:50 My guess is that they started with feathers so that they wouldn't crush to death anyone by mucking up the spell. Also, it allows for an easier class since they don't need to go outside to lift big objects and they are easier to oversee everyone for the teacher. Also, you need to remember that the movies take place over a year. One scene can take place in january, and the next can take place in February, so there will be improvements between scenes as time passes. They just don't point this out. You can apply this logic to a lot of other classes too.

Remember that the unforgivable curses, require intent and power, as stated by Moody. His example: If a kid wizard used avadakedabra, he would only be producing gashes on the cursed or even tickling. So, to kill someone, you need a very powerful intent, thus why they're very powerful curses that are unblockable. And I think, that having that power and intent, plus they're spells that attack the mind and soul, that's why they're unblockable, as how you stop something that attacks the non physical? That's why Voldemort avada in his last duel with Harry, fails, because it was also affected by the wand's loyalty to Harry, and wouldn't dare kill and hurt its master. So, there's that too. You need to be in complete control of your wand, and have the full intent to do it, otherwise it's just another weak curse that only damages the body, not the soul and mind.

37:35 okay, but the Weasleys are related to the Black family and the Malfoys. Sirius Black and Arthur Weasley are second cousins once removed. In fact, all the pure-blood families are related, according to Sirius. We also do get several Slytherins that did good things: Sirius' brother Regulus (who was obviously also a cousin of Arthur Weasley's) sacrificed himself in order to destroy a horcrux. Draco Malfoy purposely didn't tell on Harry when the Golden Trio was trapped at Malfoy manner. And we know it was on purpose because even if he didn't completely recognise Harry (which seems unlikely), he would've still recognised Ron and Hermione right away. Snape might be a bully, but he still saved Harry's life several times. Saying that Slytherins never do anything good is simply not true.

17:17 there are other limits defined in the series besides Gamp's Law. It is impossible to resurrect someone who's dead. You can save them if they're close to dying, but you cannot bring them back once they're really dead. Inferi are reanimated corpses, but they're not really alive. And even the Resurrection Stone only brings back a shadow of the person you're trying to revive, and they will eventually become sad and despairing because they don't belong in the world of the living. You also cannot make someone love you. You can make love potions or enchant someone, but those things only create a sort of infatuation or obsession; never true love. And the person will stop feeling those things as soon as the enchantment is lifted. Dumbledore talks about love as if it is a very powerful type of magic. And it doesn't seem unreasonable to suppose that the creation of life and consciousness is also a type of magic in this universe. So, if that's the case, then it seems to me that the only limits to magic are even more powerful sources of magic.

The reason his power was weakened was that he broke the charm of 7 when he accidentally made Harry a Horcrux.
