    We have a house full of Ajax. I think you should have mentioned that you require installation from a reseller, an end user is NOT allowed to purchase Ajax equipment from anywhere. I love their product, but would love to purchase individual products by myself.

    270AH (135x2) lithium, EuroChef 2000w, 1litre cold water boiled in 4min, 5% battery used, max draw 150 A. Recharged by 400w solar in 70min (full sun, ACT winter). Bottom line, induction is ver convenient but not sustainable for heavy use without a lot of lithium. 48v system with a house style lithium battery is best but very expensive.

    You keep getting amps and amp-hours mixed up. Amp-hours is capacity and amps is power flow. Also, I put the hotdogs in the water before heating. Saves 50% time & energy!🌭😁

      @jeffclark5268 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      And use about a gallon and half less water?

    • @rgruenhaus
      @rgruenhaus หลายเดือนก่อน

      Seems Australians talk amps rather than watt hours which is what most power stations are rated for because it's what the capacity of the power units us drawing from. If I have a cooktop I am concerned with it's draw of watts on my power source.

  • @cashandraven2369
    @cashandraven2369 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You have zero need to crank an induction cooktop up to 2000w, a 6in induction sits around 1500, and that makes a huge difference in how much power you're using. You also literally used twice the power by bringing water to a boil and then putting in your dogs, you should have tossed them in first and let the water get hot to bring the dogs to temp and then only a few minutes to boil.

    Most US RVs that are on electric use Lippert induction cooktop 110 double burners. You cannot run both burners at full power at the same time, but (if you have two metal pots on the stove, touching each other, they both will be activated at that power level)

  • @tedshaw4567
    @tedshaw4567 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I’m picking up an Australian accent Australia use 220 or as you say it 240 in the US we use 110 for most home appliances I prefer to use my induction cooktop more than normal electric or gas. Induction utensils, pots and pans. All you need is a magnet, if a magnet sticks to the bottom of it, it will work on your induction.. I don’t know about your water, boiling pig in 15 minutes, but with my induction cooktop, it will boil water faster than gas or anything else. Look at it this way normal cooking day. Heat source heats up the pan the pan heats the water.. induction makes the pan the heat source. Like air you had an electric stove, the element turns red hot instead of the element getting hot in a pan is getting hot.. the healing process will not start unless your pan is on it. If you take your pen off shortly, it will turn off.

    Considering a van like yours, but towing with a current Isuzu mux, thoughts on whether it would get pushed around by passing trucks etc, and with less Power than yo 8:15 u're ranger and similar to you're Hilux do you think my vehicle up to it .

    • @ewkaus
      @ewkaus 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Thanks for commenting. Not real sure on Isuzu, however I have seen quite a few pulling similar size vans. I found with our Hilux it was a little under powered especially when travelling up hills. The Ranger pulls the van well and feels more stable than our Hilux, but that could also be due to how the Hilux was set up. I personally have only heard goods things about the Isuzu. Might be an idea to join a Facebook group with the van you are looking at seeing if anyone else in the group could offer more insight.

    Good job mate, in the process of a build at the moment. I decided to build my own canopy, the Chinese canopies were a bit hit and miss and the Aussie canopies are just too expensive. Mine won’t look as pretty cause it’s square, 1 because I can’t weld aluminium and 2 because it’s more efficient space wise. My electrics will be practically identical to yours. Everything still good with your setup after a year?

Do you need to take to them? I am Sydney based and wondering if you could recommend any dealer? Thanks guys

Newcastle service and team however have been good to deal with.
