Fishing for whatever bites on OBX fishing piers
This time me & my Tj are heading down to the Outer banks again for another run of pier fishing. An added bonus was some early season hurricane swell filtering in while we on the islands that we got to surf. It never feels like I can spend enough time here on the outer banks. Ya always seem to meet some pretty nice people out on these pier. Good times we had along the way.

That was crazy how all those bait fish beached themselves. Sweet ray and sharks, but what a paid to unhook. Horseshoe crabs are always cool. Pretty awesome overnight, minus the sunkin rod combo.

I just was swimming at the Jersey shore and had a couple sting rays try to crash into me while chasing bunker. I call them "Anchor Fish." They grip that bottom like a boat anchor. Those OBX Peirs have all sorts of fun fish. Getting them up is a two man chore. Great day, bro. I love the crowds that come in to watch.
Stepped on plenty of them surfing / wade fishing over the years - the people factor was entertaining very used to fishing away from people as much as possible .. had to really behave myself & I still cant just stop cussing like a sailor on a dime haha thanks for watchin

Awesome video man! You wanna increase your hookups for snakes, bump up to at least 30lb braid, and tighten that drag down a lot more than you had it. Also, taking a 2-3 second pause after they eat the topwater will get you way more hookups. Keep up the videos!
@@HookedRealityFishing I actually have since started using a conventional reel with 50# braid & the drag pretty much locked down & I’ve been having a lot better ratio thanks for the tip
Its tough to get a bass out of shrubs like that. 😜 That bass was conscious about her weight. Awesome snakehead. I have yet to catch one.

Good luck man Aquia is a great place to try there’s just a lot of area to cover pretty sure rappahannock has snakeheads too maybe closer, we launch at hope springs marina a lot of times it’s 10$ for a kayak & its 24/7 , also Potomac creek is really good there’s a park you can launch out of, tight lines

Unsolicited tip from another kayak angler (who fishes at the eastern shore too): use a measuring board to measure the fish! easier, quicker, and more accurate than the tape
@karacuddapah9433 I normally use my red Ketch board , I had just forgotten it in the van for the first part of this video , I put that speckled trout on the board haha great tip

I think the name of the brand is Crème ? I found them at Walmart on clearance for under a dollar , the hooks didn’t seem to stick in fish as well as I had hoped but it moved through the water pretty good for such a cheap little lure
