7Artisans 18mm f6.3ii UFO lens review: This is a quick review of a compact, but mighty UFO lens from 7Artisans! Forgive me as I, for some reason, keep calling it a TT Artisans lens... Anyways, this lens is FANTASTIC and yields sharp images if you have decent MANUAL focusing skills. Turn on your FOCUS PEAKING and you'll be rewarded with beautiful images! CRIO BRU Brewed Cacao: Is this a scam?
มุมมอง 8Kปีที่แล้ว
This may be the longest review of any product... This is my second, $33 bag of CRIO BRU cacao in a year. I'm trying to quit coffee and have been looking for an alternate morning beverage routine. I'm feeling like brewed cacao isn't working out like I had hoped and, if anything, it's reminded me what I didn't care for with my last attempt. I just can't get past the diluted cocoa water experience...
Binaural Wind Turbines

First shoot with my Sony A7iv and the MOVO LV20 omnidirectional stereo microphones. HEADPHONES REQUIRED FOR BINAURAL EXPERIENCE. I was excited to see what I was able to get away with since this video was made in total darkness, lots of wind and ISO 20,000. Around the 2;00 mark the loud squeaks are coming from the turbine adjusting to the direction of the increasing wind. Are these mics amazing?...

Man I couldn’t help but notice how often it focus breathes. Idk if this is a lens for me, no way I could film in AF with this.
Yep, same here. Super sharp but AF motors are too loud and jumpy. I recently sold it. Thanks for watching!
wish i could find a $30 45-150mm lol jeepers that's a steal
how is this on photo?
@@KerubinCharie Hello, and thanks for watching! This lens is surprisingly sharp if you can nail focus. I use it on my full frame, Sony as well as my APSC cameras. I really like the way it looks, but it does have its limitations with a fixed F stop so if you’re OK with that and enjoy a little vignette then this is a fun little optic especially for 60 bucks! Get one, you’ll enjoy it!
I'm glad the youtube search function sent me this way. Great video and helped me understand the effects of filters on the mono picture styles. I know its been a while but I hope to view more of you're videos.
Fantastic! I'm happy this was helpful!
TH-cam has already converted this video to 16-235 color space, so the best option is to leave everything at 16-235 in all recordings to equal everything out. 16=255 highest whites are going to be crush, just because the image looks brighter doesn't mean it's accurate to real life. This is for all who are reading this.
PPoff if you want natural look while vlogging/walkaround type video
I’m really trying to understand the point of your video. Yes, Crio is not coffee (and they state this clearly on the package). It’s also not cocoa (it’s not fermented). Why do you keep on harping that it’s not Valrona and not Nesquick? They don’t claim that it is. Chocolate is a mixture of cocoa, coco-butter or cream, and sugar. Don’t expect this to taste like chocolate unless you add cream and sugar (Nesquick contains both). Your video doesn’t even show you drinking what you brewed. What’s the point of lengthily describing your brewing method if it doesn’t result in a beverage that you enjoy? 20 minutes of describing how to make a beverage you don’t want to drink? Why? I don’t get it.
Herbert, Thank you for watching all 20 minutes and then educating us with your professional analysis of an amateur perspective of brewed cacao. You're so smart! Please continue to scour and cleanse the internet of videos that don't meet your entertainment requirements. The brewed cacao community eagerly awaits your proper CrioBru review. Cheers to you!
@@camerasandcoffee3466 Thanks for delivering the missing explanation. Hope you’re getting the help you need.
Really like your style. I just purchased this lens, excellent condition from MPB for $164!!! Learned lots from your most excellent video. Liked and subscribed. Keep up the great work. I’m
Hey! Thanks for watching! I'm happy to hear that the video was helpful and I hope your lens brings you much joy! Look in to the free firmware update if you care. I found that Zeiss did a great job cleaning and updating toe motors to help with the sluggish AF. I really like mine and continue to use it quite a bit! Cheers, Mike
Have you played with extra brute cocoa? It has a very high fat content (I know, I know) so you can actually stir it into hot water - and there is no bitterness. I am in love. I make my own chocolate syrup with it, and you can really get a nice, dark flavor with it. It would make a very nice treat in small measure.
I just got the Senn MKE 200 and have tried it with my vlogging camera (Insta360 Ace Pro). It was kind of disappointing and I might send it back. How has it been for you since you started using it? I also have the Rode VideoMic GO II and it sounds a lot better, but I wanted a mic that wasn’t as obtrusive to use with my I360 AP because the Rode mic is visible in the video footage.
Thanks for watching! I sold this mic shortly after this video and upgraded to the MKE 400. Much better for sure!
@@camerasandcoffee3466 You’re welcome. The MKE 400 form factor is the deal breaker for me. I will probably stick with my Malaida Tosicam wireless mic system when vlogging with the Insta360 Ace Pro. I haven’t given the MKE 200 a good in-studio mic test yet.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks my friend!
Just buy cacao nibs and a decent manual grinder. Youll get wayyy more bang for your buck without the processed drawbacks
Totally!
Thanks for posting this video. It Doesn’t have to be 33 dollars for 1 1/2 lbs. Order from Crio’s website when they have a sale every major holiday, $45 for 3 lbs. My wife and I drink this every morning for years. Now, Get yourself a French press. For 2 cups: 30 gm crio, 500 gms boiled water. Press after 7 minutes. Important!…add a splash of milk(oat milk), 1/2 tsp sweetener(coconut sugar). And you’re hooked. Oh, by the way, 28 gms to make 2 cups of crio comes to about $0.50 per cup. I think most people can afford that.
Was wondering about the measurements. I took raw cacao beans and put them in my air fryer for 10 minutes and let cool a little then pulsed on high in my vita mix till nicely round, like three times. I guess I used about a tablespoon per 8 oz for those that are interested and let sit for about five minutes. I'm gonna try more roasting next time and longer brew time, someone said to wait twenty minutes. I did add stevia and heavy cream, wow, I like the flavor a lot. I've had like 5 cups already trying the different roasting times. The french press seems like it gives a much better flavor, oh and added a pinch of salt to heighten the flavor more and really did.
Rode mics in general have more bass response than Sennheiser mics. This may be an advantage if you do not edit audio in post and like bass. But, most sound professionals for TV and Film production use the Sennheiser MKH416 over the top of the line Rode NTG3 which also has more bass response than the Sennheiser MKH416.
I'm still trying to figure out how to get rid of the noise on the GH5S. No matter what Photo style or dual native ISO settings I shoot at, I always get a distinct noise. And it doesn’t matter whether I’m shooting indoors with low light or outdoors during the day - there is always noticeable noise in the shadows and midtones. At native or maximally low, at any ISO, there is still noise. On the Internet there are stunning videos, of the city at night shot on the GH5S, with ISO 6000 and 10000 and so on, but I don’t understand how this is possible, because my camera makes noise even at about native ISO in daylight. I would be very grateful if you could tell me what could be the matter. Perhaps I don’t understand something, there are some settings or maybe there is always noise, it’s just removed in post-processing, but for a week now I can’t figure out what’s wrong. Thank you in advance for your help.
Many years ago I learned that I MUST learn to read and understand my histogram. Even in total darkness you must expose so you have data showing in the middle and slightly to the right. Proper exposure is CRITICAL, even in daylight. Your monitor can play tricks on you. Your histogram will never lie. Feed your sensor. Look at my video with the palm trees at midnight. It looks cleaner than my A7iii and I shot it at 25,400 ISO. I exposed it properly using my histogram. I hope this was helpful. Keep me posted on your success!
@@camerasandcoffee3466 Oh well, thank you very much for your answer. I’ll tackle this task in the next few days and will definitely write to you about what I managed to do.
@@camerasandcoffee3466 In general, yes, it has become much better. By focusing on the histogram and giving the sensor more light, the picture became much less noisy. Sometimes noise still appears on colored surfaces (especially warm tones like red), but anyway, thank you very much, the frame looks much cleaner now. In addition, I started using the HLG profile and it looks even better, it seems to me even cleaner than CineLike D or V-Log. Thanks again for your help.
Thank you for making this video
Thank you for watching and leaving a comment, David!
Everyone, set this to 0-256 or 0-1023 for 10 bit and never think about this again.
I am currently brewing Crio, but I prefer the TEO brand, however its always sold out. As I prefer the blend from Tapacula, Mexico. But your video is spot on Crio is ok, but since coffee gives me the jitters and heightens my anxiety I can't drink coffee daily. But do love a cup of Dutch Bros coffee when on vacation.
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! I also enjoy my Dutch Bros! Happy 2024!
the whole point is that its caffeine free, unlike all the other chocolates you made
Thanks for watching. These businesses rely on customers like you to exist. Keep up the good work!
haha funny face :D I think the lens would perform better on M43 with less distortion.
Thanks for watching! Yes, I totally agree,
Funny how ive seen about 3-4 master classes on the GH5 and literally nobody ever mentioned this thing. All people do is cry about bad low light performance but the GH5 is doing just fine in dark if you ask me... plenty of ways to manipulate the input..this one way of doing it. This is a nice test ;)
Thank you for watching and commenting and I totally agree with you! So many of these so called or self appointed "Masters or Ambassadors" have very few actual hours using this equipment. Most of it is fluff and fancy jargon not supported by utilizing "real" examples.
Thank you for this test. The picture is too bright for ISO 3200. Did you use Speed Booster?
Thank you for watching! No, I have never used a speed booster for any of my video work.
So nice to see a non-hypster YOu Tube review. How does cold brewing work for this product?
Hahahaha! Thank you for your kind words! As far as cold brewing goes, I haven't tried it with this stuff but I can tell you that in hot water i would recommend letting it steep for as long as you have patience for.
I make it like we make hot chocolate in Colombia. Let me explain I use the indicated 2 tbs for each 8 oz, but I put the chocolate directly into the water to boil. Once it has boiled I let that stand like for 30 seconds, then I have my cup ready with honey to pour the hot chocolate over. It’s amazing, you get all the flavor of the chocolate. It’s how we drink chocolate in Colombia. You can of course add some cream or milk as you want.
Thank you for watching! You must buy some Valrhona Cocoa powder to have the ultimate hot chocolate experience.
Interesting
Nice video. Love the subject, the colours and the music. There's nothing wrong with the lens. For the price now, it's a no- brainer. Thanks.
Thank you for watching!
Hello! As a lover of bold coffee, I too was hesitant about Crio Bru Cacao. However, years later, i will say, cacao has changed my life! No jitters, no digestive upset, and no energy crashes. It holds me over until lunch break on busy work days. To anyone trying this: USE MILK not water for your crio bru. I know- its more calories but you wont need cream and in most cases (like me) you wont need any sweetners either. Brewed cacao with water is very sad to me but milk? Like a rich hot cocoa
Thank you for watching. Yes, I agree with you, but it's just not worth 3x the cost of coffee or a top brand cocoa and doesn't taste as good either...
I love the GH3. I would like to say hi to the other people who watching this funny video. Haha!
I like it quite a bit and drink it weekly during the fall and winter. But I think you have give a fair review for someone who is not and over-the-top fan. Thank you for the video.
Thank you for watching!
Thank you. I will stick with cacao nibs for now
Roast them in an air fryer for 10 minutes at 400 and then grind, amazing flavor with a little sweetener, cream and pinch of salt. I was thinking the same thing so tried this and don't have to pay for shipping.
What is the coffee filter you are using?
They tell you not to use a paper filter, but on their very own web site, they have a video on how to prepare pour-over Crio Bru, and in that video, it is obvious they are using a paper cone filter. But they only use gold mesh for a drip coffee machine. We'll see - when I get my sample pack in the mail I will try my Melita. At least Crio Bru does offer a money-back guarantee.
Thanks for watching. I would definitely use a paper filter for this and ALL brewed products to trap any unhealthy oils. While I'm no scientist, these cacao grounds remain oily even after steeping. See for yourself and rub the grounds with your hands after brewing.
I see a lot of videos about this type of filters, this is the smartest and more usefull, thanks!!!
Wow! Thank you for your kind words! I'm happy it was helpful.
In your face I couldn't see any difference. With the Cologne bottle the difference was clearly visible.
Thank you for watching! Yes, I totally agree.
i see absolutely nothing wrong with this lens, especially in this video. you done a great job capturing this little boy eating his grub
Thank you very much and thanks for watching!
So Blessed, just got it for $189 and down in Chile shooting on a NEX-7 of Coastal Scenes, Village + Mountain Landscapes, and loving every minute. Already used almost exclusively - the Touit Planar 32/1.8, and always dreamed of owning a Wide Angle to stop having to stitch, plus wanting that WA distortion to isolate subjects!!! Great Review.
Thank you for watching! Enjoy your amazing lenses!
Thanks for making this video from one former coffee drink (but still lover) and connoisseur now transferring my skills to cacao drinks!
Thanks for watching!
Is there a link for the lens?
I bought it on Amazon.
The only one strong enough for me is the Uber Dark and I use half a cup in my coffee marker with a gold basket. You have to watch it or it will clog your coffee machine. It makes about 8 in the coffee maker. Flavored varieties are not worth it.
Thank you for watching!
@@camerasandcoffee3466 you are welcome! I an thrilled to learn about the cocoa options too. I did find that the larger size bags end up being slightly cheaper but no where near as economical as the grocery store.
That's why I buy extracts & add them instead.
I just bought 10 oz of 100% pure cocoa - which is the main ingredient in dark chocolate - for about 5 bucks. You know what it’s called? Hershey’s Cocoa 100% unsweetened. 🤣 And, yes, pure cocoa’s claim to fame is: Recent studies have shown that cocoa and dark chocolate may have cardiovascular benefits and may help prevent age-related cognitive decline, improving attention, brain processing speed and working memory. Both are high in flavonoids, plant-based substances that have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. These can improve brain blood flow, oxygen levels and nerve function.
Okay my wife was in Columbia for a summer and seems to be wondering what makes this any different from coco powder? They add the extra things to it but does that change the flavor any? Seeming like we can grab a solid dark chocolate bar and have us some cacao anytime we want without paying $33. I'd probably be more like to try the shrooms before this.
I totally agree! This Crio Bru will always taste similar to unsweetened YooHoo unless you add sugar and creamer. It is Cacao, not chocolate. Like I said in the video, Save $25 and buy some Valrhona cocoa for a REAL treat! Thanks for watching!
Coffee oil contains high levels of vitamin E, phytosterols, antioxidants and essential fatty acids. They protect the skin from free radical damage and reduce the signs of ageing such as fine lines, wrinkles and sunspots or blemishes.

Excellent work. Very simple and straightforward. Thank you
I used to work for this company. They did really import everything & was honestly a fun work environment. It’s in a college town so just a bunch of kids messin around shipping out packages
ITU709 the most realistic for me and I like it the best, HLG's are obvious more exciting, but unrealistic, that said, I am just on an entry level 500 nit 8 bit LCD HDR TV
Thank you for watching! Yes! I also like ITU709 and encourage people to use Soft High Key at night. ZERO noise but will require some color correction. Try it!
It can make a camera pocketable. That alone is very useful.
I've been drinking Crio Bro for years. I love it. I use a French Press, four scoops, let it sit for 20 minutes and add a little cream. It's a fantastic way to start the day.
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching! I'll check it out.
I'm using 6 TABLESPOONS for 16 ounces in a French press.
For the price … you. can’t. go. wrong. If you’re just taking it out for some street photography, the pancake form factor can’t be beat.
