These are The Underground Boys of Tana. Their names are Jimmy (age 16), Francois (age 14), Tojo (age 14), Rija (age 13), Njato (age 12), Rivo (age 12), Andria (age 10), and Thierry (age 10). They perform every Sunday morning in front of the Tana Underground, a popular hostel in downtown Antananarivo, Madagascar. The boys are all members of the same extended family. Except for Jimmy and Francois, they all go to school. Francois is clearly the musical leader of the group. As you watch the videos, you can see him taking charge as they decide who will sing which parts. Sometimes you can see him making corrections of the other boys during the performance. We visit every Sunday morning without fail. From the very first time we heard Jimmy singing solo, we knew we were in the presence of greatness. We do whatever we can to make the talents of these Boys known to the world. Please help by sharing these videos with your friends and family.
