So I'm just wondering, when you towed it out it, there was no snow. how far north did you tow it? or was it in the fall and you didn't get around to starting until winter? I'm in Alaska so.... Better to try to get it going in warmer weather or, in a nice warm shop...

First truck was a 67 F100 then a new 75 then a new 76 then a one year old 78 F250 hi boy. I have had several Ford trucks over my driving career. I am 65 now and have a 2000 Super Duty. Just bought a 73 F600 farm truck to restore. Love a four speed but have had both manual and auto trans. The 67 had a three speed on the column with owner installed overdrive and a 390 engine. That thing would fly. Your truck would be a good one to restore.

I also have a 94 sierra 2 wd ext cab I drive as a daily. My dad had a 98 turbo diesel sierra ext cab auto was a great truck sold it with 589 thousand kms original motor and transmission. My brother' drives a 97 sierra ext cab 4 by 4 . All white.

The 292 six cylinder by GM started production in 1963. Was used in large truck's and could be ordered in light duty truck's. By 1972 it was an option. The 250 began production in 1966. The 230, 250, and 292 where GM's straight six cylinder engines. By 1970 the 230 was replaced with the 250 as the base engine. It was replaced in the 80s with the V6 4.3. The 292 was also replaced. UPS delivery trucks had the 292 GM six as a base engine. The C 40, C 50, and C 60 big trucks had the 292 GM six as a base engine.
