First truck was a 67 F100 then a new 75 then a new 76 then a one year old 78 F250 hi boy. I have had several Ford trucks over my driving career. I am 65 now and have a 2000 Super Duty. Just bought a 73 F600 farm truck to restore. Love a four speed but have had both manual and auto trans. The 67 had a three speed on the column with owner installed overdrive and a 390 engine. That thing would fly. Your truck would be a good one to restore.
@@johnnyholland8765 yeah I have a box for it and plan on redoing it it’s just a shame that the cab is smashed on the passenger side but I think it’s fixable
My first truck was a 67 F100 Ranger. Had the original factory paint and was 2 tone from the factory. White on top and teal green on the bottom. Ford switched to square headlights in 78 and a half.
@@tonystambaugh4422 the one in the background of this video is actually a jimmy it’s missing the drivetrain I just grabbed it because it had newer exhaust, a 4” lift and a matching set of wagon wheels but it’s fairly solid
So I'm just wondering, when you towed it out it, there was no snow. how far north did you tow it? or was it in the fall and you didn't get around to starting until winter? I'm in Alaska so.... Better to try to get it going in warmer weather or, in a nice warm shop...
Looks like its time to lock in the hubs at 22:15 Nice truck. I like the front end style. Oh well, blown out front diff. I should have watched till the end before commenting. My Bad! Regards from Ody Slim
@TheRustFarm its sad they were neglected for so long, but it happens 😞 Save what you can. All the other metal on the ground ...looks like an artist/creator's heaven 😃
That jumper wire might have been a neutral safety switch override. LOL Nice truck. Reminds me of my old 78 Fordella May 150. Man I miss that truck!
Thinking back my first truck was a 1951 Ford with a y block.
My 75 started after 23 years ,and i love it
@@UncleRobsGarage yeah they are great trucks I’ve always wanted a 79 4x4

It was a couple weeks after I pulled it out and we got our first snow before I got back to it
Wide break peddle is so you don’t get your foot jammed in between peddles
