If your deleting power steering z4 rack is the way to go! The rest are too heavy for not having power steering. Especially the purple tag!!!

@ damn lmao, just bought a e46 m3, 3 turn lock to lock purple tag, I bring up power steering delete because my 2j intake is in the way and leaves no room so I’ll see what happens

I used mig, with shielded gas. I'm not a professional fabricator so I can't answer your question but there is a ton of ways to get these to mount

One way would be to add the pin to the bottom side of the c101 and then 'T' it into the wiring going to the cluster (not actually adding to the blue connector) or run the wiring back through the engine harness to the ecu and to the c104 plug

@ I’m a complete beginner when it comes to electricity. I’m not sure I understand - can I simply connect the wires from C104 to the blue connector behind the cluster? Also, where do the signals of the fuel economy gauge come from? Is it possible to add wires directly from the engine bay to the blue connector, or does it have to go through ECU? Thank you for your advice

If you are using a late model engine harness on an early model chassis harness. You will basically be following this video. I should where to 'T' into for the few things

@@themaskeddriver I watched the video for multiple times and I have a slightly different problem. I have pins 8 and 9 in the upper half of the C101 connector (round connector) but I don’t have those pins in the bottom half. Can you please give me any advice where should cables from the bottom half go?

99% of steering columns should already have a slot for the bolt to go through. Very rarely have i seen one without

It's definitely a little more responsive but i wouldn't say it's anything crazy. Then again I'm so used to replacing the guibo anyway before I switched over to LPSR

Yes it would be plug n play. Kinda a down grade tbh but it would work

The only part of the valance you need is the piece that connects fender to fender and support the kidney and headlight grills. You wouldn't need the bottom of it if you didn't want it there

You could wire all low beams to the two plugs. Might put a strain on the electric system. Might need to run a new wire and fuse from main powe/battery and add signal switch to have 4 low beams going or 4 high beams

@themaskeddriver I've had alot of e30's. Own 4 now. Never had one rare enough ( ex. m3, AWD Wagon) to keep factory. Yours...consider that decision a long, long time.

It need a good amount of work. The idea of the build was long in motion before I even got it. Once this one is done. It would be nice to get another stock one

If you just want to purchase the bulbs and wiring you can assemble them yourself at a lower price Let's also not forget these are very very high quality headlights. There is no comparison to another set of headlights I used to have on this car

Dapper Lighting specialize in direct plug-n-play replacements for stock sealed beams & e28, I believe have 5.75” is a 4-headlights system so should fit👌

If you have an early model tank that's a very common issue. Fuel slosh. It's a little better on late model tanks since there are slosh guards

the car is from '88

88 is a weird year. It might still use the early model style gas tank. Easiest way to check is look under the car. If there is a pipe under the driveshaft that connects the two tanks it's early. If there isn't. It's late model

It's done...just figuring out what I'm including in the package!

There are sometimes stamping marks but you'd have to check rod part number and that the piston heads look correct

There are a few plug near the ecu and it goes to one of them. You can't mix them up. I dont remember exactly what it does but it either pulls data off ecu to display on the obc or it pulls data from obc for the ecu

Just to clean it up. Sure it takes out a little weight but weight is not the goal for this build

Alot of people interested in e36 will see what we can do! I'll have to look into the vw polo rack!
