Thank you so very much for your message with a brief history that I could use in the video (if that's alright with you both) that I promised you that I would gladly and happily make for y’all. Yes indeed, you said it yourself, it was surreal, an absolute pleasure and an awesome surprise meeting y'all on skiing on the slopes, just so perfect as I saw y’all earlier observing with admiration from a distance and didn’t want to disturb but it was meant to be for me to cross path with y’all again on another slope plus you recognized me YAY!!! I’m sorry about the incident and what Marie went through and you too but look where y’all are now (through a lot of hard work and determination no doubt) with Marie skiing smoothly on the slopes, it was truly incredible watching Marie skiing down happily smiling and joking around too. I’m proud of Marie too just watching her enjoying herself on the slopes. I have many long video clips skiing around y’all, I will edit them into a memorable video for y’all to have. If y’all have anything, pictures or clips from you yourselves, Kyra or John that y’all wish to add to the video, please feel free to send them to me, I thank you but only if y’all wanted to. @Waf13 Hello! I’m so glad that you found the videos informative and I thank you for your appreciation. Now, there are a few buses passing by Encamp to take y’all all the way to Pas de la Casa. All public buses start down at Andorra la Vella then go to different directions and vice versa. Bus N°2 goes to Encamp, N°3 to Soldeu, N°4 to Pas de la Casa, N°5 to Arinsal and N°6 to Ordino. I don’t know if bus N°4 would stop by Grau Roig on the way to Pas de la Casa, I will try to find out for y’all. The hotel where y’all will stay may have a mini bus or van service to take y’all to Grau Roig or they may be better informed about bus services. From the top of Encamp/Funicamp, the run down to the chairlift to Grau Roig is an easy blue unless the beginners in your group are absolute beginners. Of course they will have to ski back to the Funicamp, also blue runs but they may be a bit challenging. I hope the above information is a bit helpful and good luck with organizing the ski trip. @Waf13 There is an absolute beginner’s area right at the top of Funicamp though there’s no magic carpet and smaller but fully integrated, there are two short drag lift and a few chairlifts to go up small slopes. Very convenient and y’all don’t have to go far plus it’s less crowded. Just thought you might be interested in this piece of information if you didn’t already know.

@yummyscrumpo9830 Hi! You will be in Pas de la Casa in a few more days right? Just to let you know that I skied at Grandvalira yesterday, the snow conditions are mixed but good, firm hard packed slopes first thing in the morning then they soften up by 10:00am, I enjoyed my skiing very much yesterday. Arinsal today was amazing with fresh corduroy first thing then all chopped up by 12:30pm, very slushy at the bottom where the chairlift are. It was awesome from 9:00 to 11:30ish as it was practically empty. Hopefully it will snow next week according to the forecast. Highest temperature up the top 13°C today. Have a good trip and happy skiing!

@Marcelo Cunha Hi Marcelo! Thank you very much for your comment of appreciation and I’m so glad that you found the video informative. Concerning the purchasing of the ski pass, you can purchase your ski pass online or on the same day at the ticket counter where you ski. I have friends who purchased the ski passes in the morning at the ticket window before they go up the slopes. If y’all are interested in only Arinsal and Pal then there is a ski pass only for Arinsal-Pal-Arcalís (you will also get a day or two to ski at Grandvalira with this ski pass, check with them). The ski pass for Pal, Arinsal, Ordino Arcalís is called NORD PASS and yes y’all can purchase it on the website (at least the last time I checked for a friend at the beginning of the season). Parking at Arinsal is easy as there are two huge parkings right by the gondola, big parking at the chairlift Josep Serra chairlift to go up the ski station at Arinsal instead of going up the gondola at the middle of Arinsal village. Y’all can also drive all the way up to the top parking where the ski station is instead of parking at Josep Serra chairlift, just keep going and follow the one road up instead of parking at Josep Serra chairlift (there are two big hotels at the Josep Serra parking: Patagonia and Ushuaia. You shouldn’t have any trouble with circulating around Arinsal and there’s only one road up all the way to the top ski station and same road down so y’all can’t get lost. Y’all can even take the cable car down to Pal ski areas by going up chairlift to the very top of Arinsal, so there’s no need to drive to Pal but y’all can also drive to Pal from Arinsal if the cable car is not working for one reason or another. There is a big parking at Pal main ski station and smaller parkings at Cubil chairlift and Coll de la Botella chairlift. I will try to do a video or include the logistic in my future snow report videos. Though, I usually included the driving up to the ski station bits in most of my uploaded snow report videos, at the very start of the video. Are y’all coming to Arinsal/Pal for 2024/2025 ski season? Concerning equipment rentals, I had a good experience with Pic Negra up at Arinsal ski report, renting skis for my friend for a few days. I will get some information from Pic Negra for you and put it up in my snow report video as well. I know a few people who booked their ski vacation through certain agencies, they get equipments and lunch vouchers as well but I don’t know the details. Just to let y’all know that there’s that option. Having written all this information, I will try to include everything in my future videos. @acw1956 Hi! You’re right about the chairlifts are old comparing to the state of the art chairlifts at some of the ski resorts in the Alpes, however, here it’s not as cold as in the Alpes plus they work perfectly fine with security bars and all. There are plenty of 6 man chairlifts throughout all Andorran resorts, the 4 man chairlifts are normally for going up shorter distances smaller slopes, 6 man chairlifts are for the long haul. Have you seen the chairlifts in the US ski resorts? Many are old and dilapidated with no security bars. Skiers would have to pay an arm and a leg to ski there meaning more than $200 a day just ski pass alone. They have just put in a new 6 man chairlifts in Arinsal to go up to the top of Arinsal replacing the drag lift. I call it the Mercedes Benz. The ski resorts management doesn’t communicate with the public what they do, so at the moment the chairlifts they got serve their main purpose. I suppose it would be very costly to replace these chairlifts as Grandvalira is the 22nd largest ski areas in the world. You get excellent value to ski in Andorra, cheap ski pass for all Andorran resorts or individually, food is cheap and delicious, not to mention cheap drinks (I don’t drink but I know). Hope this honest information helps. Happy skiing ⛷️

@kiki-ig8fq Hi! Judging from the past 3 years, good snow first thing in the morning then slushy by noon time. Two years ago, there was a good dump of snow 2 days before the ski resorts shut down. Do check when the resorts will close before making any skiing plan at the beginning of April, they may close early, late or extend depending on the conditions of the snow. Hope this helps.

@bwslpool Thank you so much for your comment and welcome to Andorra! The snow is awesome, the best ever in this season. There are many bars/restaurants in Arinsal, the most fun and lively is Cisco’s bar with restaurant upstairs. Food is good at l’Hort de Casa, Hunter’s, Hotel Montané Restaurant, Palerine Bambu restaurant but a bit further down in Erts which has good Asian and theme buffet different night plus good bar. I’m not sure what activities there are in Arinsal but in Canillo there is an ice skating ring, rollercoaster ride up at Montmagic, dog sledge at Grau Roig and Pal, snow mobile ride at different resorts… I will be skiing at Pal/Arinsal on Tuesday and I hope to see y’all too. May I ask how I can look out for y’all (colors of ski outfits perhaps). Y’all already know what ski outfits I usually wear, I would love to see y’all skiing up the slopes it would be a really nice surprise…Enjoy this amazingly wonderful snow and your time in Andorra and do have a safe journey back home.
