Good list. But I guess you haven't played as many games of the Dreamcast as I did. Otherwise other amazing games could have made it into your list. Games like Rez, Skies of Arcdia or Metropolis street racer. The shenmue series came out around the time I was studying kung fu That game was as much a part of my life because it combined my love of martial arts and video games into one That game and it’s music and graphics and just everything about it was nostalgic memory at its finest Blessed to have experienced it 🙏

My personal favorite Dreamcast game is Skies of Arcadia, Shenmue and Soul Calibur are great too.

Great video! It amazes me that all of these best of genesis videos never mention some of my favorites of the generation which are Rocket Knight, Comix Zone, Cyborg Justice, Combat Cars, X-men 2 Clone Wars and Adventures of Batman and Robin. I was more of a SNES kid, but Genesis had some good stuff too!

This would maybe one of the better lists I've seen for the Genesis/Mega Drive system except for: A) it's backwards. Unless the games in the 20s are the best games and Game 1 barely made the list. Shinobi 1 over Shinobi 2? Vectorman over Gunstar Heroes? Heresy. Swap the Streets of Rages and reverse the list and its neraly solid gold. B) Vectorman has no place on this list. It was made to brown nose children who fell for the graphics-over-gameplay mess that is DKC and lure them over to Sega. There is no timeline or alternate reality in which Vectorman is better than Contra Hard Corps or Gunstar Heroes as a shooter, as a platformer, as a game, etc. C) There is no need to have multiple MK or Street Fighter 2s in a list. The 2nd best of either of these franchises should mathematically be worse than the 25th best game on a platform unless that platform is short on great titles, which the genesis is not. If you need multiple Sonics or Streets of Rages on a top 25 list... then sure, I guess, but those are Sega flagship exclusives, so I can see the point of including them. But putting two SF2 games on this list just robs the viewer of discovering a Rocket Knight Adventures, Landstalker or Strider you could have (and should have) included.

I definitely can't argue against Nights being in the top spot. My surprise is that D's sequel Enemy Zero didn't make it even to the low end of the list. I guess I forgive its flaws more than others.

Decent list as a SNES lover back in the day, and now hacking my Genesis Mini to play games I missed out on. Gotta stop using the filter on the emulators! So far MUSHA, Skeleton Krew and Gauntelt IV are my favorites.

SotC and Terrence Malick is a nice combination. Glazer would be a little too intense, as well as Refn, perhaps Darren Aronofski would work? Between thoughtful and intimate symbolic journey of The Fountain and sombre quasi-biblical epic of Noah, Shadow of the Colossus would fit nicely in my opinion. Although I would absolutely prefer that no film would ever be made based on this game, whether a major studio production or independent. It's a complete work of art, it doesn't need any translation. Thanks for the review!

It is nice to see other youtubers giving Nightmare Creatures II some love. Unlike others like Matt from What Happun, who shat all over this game. I hate when popular youtubers have opinions and those opinions ruin the reputation of good old games. Like when Pro Jared shat all over Sonic Adventure 2 and suddenly everybody agreed on hating the Sonic Adventure games.

One of the few lists of best games on Genesis that I could respect simply because it's not anachronistic. Hell yeah about sport games star the console... hell yeah about so many EA games to be remembered... the only thing that, IMHO, is way of reality is that no SF2 version is the TOP1. Cheers!
