For precision shooting, Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) range ammunition is suboptimal. According to recent information from CCI, their FMJ rounds are not advised for use within 10 yards. While these rounds maintain reasonable accuracy within the 10-20 yard range, they fail to meet the stringent accuracy standards expected by marksmen. Specifically, CCI Blazer, Independence, and Speer FMJ ammunition, whether sold in boxes or in bulk, exhibit copper jacket splitting after traversing the pistol rifling. This degradation results in a significant loss of accuracy from 3 inches to several feet off the point of aim beyond 20 yards.

@@PhatTactical from what I saw in my FTE(xtract) and after checking the extractor spring tension I highly suspect the throating of the barrel is not correct. My extractor had great tension when I placed a round against the breach face. It would make sense too if they are stretching their tooling as far as possible to keep costs down. The other theory I saw is the striker spring is overpowered causing the striker to knock the case off the extractor after the trigger is pulled. Not sure I buy this as much cause the striker fires with the gun in full battery so you should have essentially zero movement between the breach face and casing. The way I see it the cartridge has nowhere to go until the round goes off and brings the slide back out of battery. I have the ability to get the barrel reamed but since the gun is brand new it’s on Canik to make it right…

@PhatTactical I actually have a latches charging handle. When pull latched handles have a claw that releases from a notch latche less do no the T-bone had that same latch that may not release and so would wear over time. So that being said, it's technically not latches and dose have retention but is not spring loaded 😉 ijs 😁 Ie not latch less

For a full sized duty gun. Check out the Taurus TS9!!! It's awesome and has been amazing so far, and it was a proven gun before it ever came to the United States!!!

@@PhatTactical I picked my TS9 up local for 279.99, and the GX4 carry was 389.99. I can't believe(in either case) how much gun you get for the money!!!

Sometimes l think gun enthusiasts get to caught up on names. Especially glock

I think so too, and I’m sure some newer enthusiasts just assume big name means better quality or more dependable. Which in some cases it might be true but you can’t rule out the little guys or you’ll miss out on some gems. We have sig, Taurus, Walther, Ruger, Tisas, Canik in our house lol
