Some steps longer than others, like the actual 3d printing took 3 days and I definitely have a few hours into filling and sanding before I even turned the camera on. But the clear coats and chrome took about as look as it plays in the video. The paint and weathering I probably only had 2 hours on. Only because I kept trying different things, didn’t really have a plan.

I’ve absolutely done that a lot of times too! Polished a Darth Vader helmet in a previous video for days lol. But issue on this one isn’t so much the finish, more so that the chrome paint lifted into the clearcoat. If it wasn’t all painted and weathered I’d might try it, but pretty sure no matter how glossy I can get the surface to be I’m afraid the clear would still appear cloudy because the cause is lower than the top surface. Ya know what I mean?

It’s a light diffusing material used by photographers to create large light boxes. Search photography diffuser fabric on Amazon , pretty cheap too

I’d say true to size, probably safe with the 2X, or you could do a custom fit, just keep in mind it won’t be returnable with custom sizing.

Yes I PLAY welded the two armor pieces together, and smaller piece does have strap holes in the model. To attach them to me I put my arms through the straps and slide them over my arm up to my shoulder. I sewed the bottom snaps to my shirt and then the top snap is attached to the armor with some epoxy. Surprising the snaps hold the armor better than I would have thought. But if you get the costume from pro cosplay the under tunic has ties that connect to the armor piece. You might attempt to just incorporate that. I did the snaps and all that because that part the costume didn’t fit me so I had to come up with something.

I was inspired to cosplay as Baylan because he’s such an interesting character, but your walkthrough video gave me the confidence to attempt to take it to the next level like you did. Going through the build process myself has given me a deeper appreciation for some of the decisions you made along the way. Keep up the amazing job! You’ve got a new fan

I love proffie, its is a far superior soundboard. But xeno might be more user friendly for a first saber.

@@TheBrodalorian I have done my research over the differences and think I would enjoy the challenge of a Proffie saber and the customization it offers, and since I’m probably only getting this saber the potential it offers would be greater than the Xeno V3 in the long run right?

I do normally use the green heavy duty one, in this video I happen to use the gray one, which is a finer softer one that’s not suppose to scratch dishes or something I think. But the green ones work great too. It’s all in the pressure you apply.
