Deliciously Moist Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake

This wonderful dessert was shared by Rene Colliers Culler, who follows us on Facebook. She shared this family recipe in memory of her late mother who made this for the family all through their years growing-up. The mayonnaise adds moistness to the texture. Even though it is called a Mayonnaise Cake the recipe specifically calls for Miracle Whip. Don't let this minor detail put you off, it is a ...

The ONLY Sour Cream Pound Cake I Make!
มุมมอง 6157 หลายเดือนก่อน
The original Sour Cream Pound Cake recipe was given to me by a neighbor around 30 years ago. I tweaked the recipe until I had the flavor and texture I wanted and have been making it ever since. This can be used in a variety of recipes that call for a plain cake as an ingredient, such as Strawberry Shortcake, any type of Trifle and Baked Alaska. However, I love to eat this Pound Cake warm right ...

    I live in Southern Indiana, Clarksville to be precise, and I just found several of these young trees along the edge of the woods by my apartment building!! I priced the three lobed leaves and the ovalish leaves both on it and got interested. I looked it up and went back to find the mitten shaped leaves, too. I scratched the trunk area with a fingernail and crushed a leaf to smell and they do smell quite spicy and good! I’m so excited about it! Cool!

    Thank you for this. My mama is from Alabama and she made a similar recipe that I've been searching for. Your's isn’t exactly the same, but its the closest I've found. She added onions & sour cream to hers, and sometimes bell pepper. She called them stewed potatoes but i can't find them anywhere. Gonna give these a shot. They look so good.

    You probably already fixed your unpotty trained refrigerator but its the pan being over filled with the same water being thawed out from the freezer.

    • @morenoirvin3444
      @morenoirvin3444 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depending on the type of fridge it can be the clock temp. regulator or evap thermostat

    • @morenoirvin3444
      @morenoirvin3444 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      But the freezer is slowly making more ice inside the evaporator radiator and not being regulated in the same time variables as before ( shorter time) thus making more water that travels from hose to pan

    I love my percolator. I have a GSI stainless steel one for camping and a vintage pyrex flameware for home. There is a learning curve to a percolator but once you learn it, the reward is great! This method of making coffee comes from a time when making coffee was an art. To me, it is as much fun to make as it is to drink.

    Been WATCHING videos tonight in HOW to put out the "most" common home fires that swem to always start in "grease fire" in the kitchen. As a man now I can recall several times where this happened in my kitchen growing up however my mom knew to always use either the lid to close the oxygen on the fire and or salt. Baking soda is much more new to me because I always remember that the lid or something like salt or a "kitchen towel" would put out kitchen fires in my home 🤞😉
