@@macquariepark Right?
The way the q is screaming down the northbound side of the west side highway with the towers burning in the background rlly gives me goosebumps. Proves that fdny that day showed no fear with there lives.
Yes. But the siren used is a Federal Model 28, Qs were banned from the FDNY at the time until around 2008 the members of the FDNY excepted for their mechanics didn’t care about what the basic rules were about having a siren on the bumper of their rigs. The Model 28 is a much quieter version of the Q that’s why it sounds a little more different than the real Q and for that only 2 rescue companies had this type of siren in the FDNY and it was Rescue 3 and Rescue 4
@@fdny3526 y were they banned. Btw the model 28 sounds a lot like a superchief siren
@@newyorkfan9832 The reason why they were banned is because a lot of residents in the city back in the day claimed their ears bled and almost went deaf from the screaming Q signal on the real Q2B siren and so shortly after the ban they provided the FDNY with Federal Model 28s and 29s to replace them but up until I’d day 2005 or 2006 they started using the real Q2B sirens again because they hated that no one got out of their way as they were responding to any type of alarms they were assigned to, only a few companies in the FDNY received these types of real Q2B sirens at the time and they were: Ladder 120, Ladder 107, Ladder 111, Ladder 33, Ladder 3, Ladder 39, Squad 18, Rescue 3, Engine 62, Engine 283, Squad 288, Ladder 56, Ladder 58, Ladder 53, Rescue 4, etc

An 10-70 or an Accident? Great catch
Yes probably and thanks
In case no one knew, the sirens are from the pilot episode of emergency
That is correct. I added them to give the old ‘64 Seagrave tiller a more classic sound. But the siren isn’t just from emergency but was also from the 80s tv series code red that also took place in los angeles county but in the city of los angeles at station 49 instead of station 8s (station 10 in the pilot movie episode the wedsworth townsend act) that siren was heard in almost every episode of the code red series since it was recycled from emergency.
Such a crappy tv show.
Yeah, I guess code red was kind of a ripoff of emergency

Yup
thats what made that show so stupid, they didnt even try to make it a little bit realistic
Got damn the Chauffeur was hauling ass… was going down the wrong way on westside highway
Correct. On that horrible day the FDNY had no choice but to use the wrong side of the road to get to the box and really had tp haul ass like they stole their rigs because of the people’s desperate need to get out. Unfortunately they couldn’t use the correct side of the road because it was closed heading downtown due to the attack so it literally shut down the west side highway on the southbound side so the FDNY hauled ass heading southbound on the northbound side to get through. RIP to those who lost their lives that day
