I sure do miss the Jersey shore!
0:33 I can’t even count how many times I have been on that road
I live out here here…drive this every day, never gets old.
I remember this. I also remember they feared that if the dam at the state park failed Lakeside BLVD would of been gone.
I watched the whole thing. I recognized the Mallard Island Club along the way, though I didn't note the time stamp.
27:40 - From here on, I've never driven this area. Anyway, my Mom spent her childhood summers on the island (40s and 50s) in Beach Haven. So she always likes for us to go to the island once in a while, and she always enjoys seeing the lighthouse. I see it was under renovation when you were there.
Loved Beach Haven many years ago!!!!
Remember this vividly. Was 5 years old living in Sparta at the time, my family and I had gone out to do errands during a lull in the rain, only for the skies to open back up and for us to be pretty much in a race to get home. I remember vividly seeing a firefighter with a horrified look on her face waving traffic to turn around near the intersection of Main St, Station Road, and Glen Road, as the section of the Wallkill River that ran along the Sparta Glen was basically turned in rapids and had washed out the bridge that crossed over it. A few days later my dad and I drove around town to get a look at the damage. In all the town lost 2 dams, including bursting a dam at Seneca Lake which was essentially drained of all its water after that, at least 5 bridges, and had a landslide along Glen Road.
I remember I shutout Sparta one Monday afternoon. 6 hits.
Yin and yang of NJ. Dumping ground to Trump's Golf Course Bedminster. Great to see the ole countryside again. Amazing music choice. Non distracting!. First I've heard ever and perfect for drive vids. Look forward to seeing more of your trips.
Princess Lavengra
The sky was gorgeous
My hometown too, and a lot of it looks the same 50+ years later.
I used to go to Bertrand Island amusement park
You drove the highways you did not see bucks.
This is the most convoluted trip I have ever seen of two communities that are next door to each other!
You may be confusing Port Murray with Port Morris. Port Morris (part of Roxbury Township) is right next to Netcong. Port Murray (part of Mansfield Township) is about 30 minute drive from Nectong.
At 4:08 there is an American Legion building. It is now gone, destroyed by fire on Aug 26 2022
Please do an Autumn drive. Thanks.
I do have a few autumn drives on my channel already if you’d like to check them out. www.youtube.com/@markmillerstudios/videos And I’m hoping to do more this autumn as well.

Used to hang out in surf City all through the late 60's/ early 70's...a helluva town & a lot of fun for a 17 year old dude...
I appreciate videos like this, Mark. I lived in upper Morris County for fifty-two years before moving out of state and I truly enjoy seeing these sights again.
Glad you enjoy the videos. Thanks for watching.
love this
Thanks for sharing this beautiful video,, you remind me my past,, i use to live in Rockaway NJ,, and Dover is right next town,, thanks 👍🤗
Glad this brought back some memories for you. Thanks for watching. 🙂
No wonder this is Garden state God bless America and American people 🇺🇲❤️☮️👍
That left turn on 413 south was a real M. Night Shyamalan twist. Well done
Thank you. 😂 Thanks for watching.
Nothing like the beauty of western NJ
I forgot how beautiful Warren & Sussex county's are. That's the one and only thing I miss about NJ, riding my Harley on those beautiful county roads. You can have everything else in NJ.
Haven't been here in 25 years, still looks the same, had a shop a block east of the Public House. Nice to see the town has kept Main St going and looking good when so many other town have lost theirs. As a young child my Father wiuld take us the in Fall to Larson's Turkey Farm to pick out our Thanksgiving Turkey and tag it. Thanks for the vid.
Thanks for watching.
I was up that way in October for my mother's funeral. Very beautiful route. I'm pretty sure there was a barn sale going on in front of that red barn.
Neighbors: WHATS GOING ON?
Thanks for the tour. I enjoyed it immensely !
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching. 🙂
Newton looks like a town in upstate NY
Something is not right about hose cloud’s
There fine
I've seen a couple of these now and having been through many earthquakes myself. These are more like bombs not earthquakes California earthquakes kind of Rumble for a while and last for 20 30 seconds where is these earthquakes are like an instantaneous bomb. That's not how earthquakes that I know go off
There were two explosion sounds when it started, a smaller one then a large one that shook the house (which the first camera picked up well), then there was about 20 seconds of strong rumbling that was shaking the house and rattling the windows, like a train was running under the house. The camera didn’t pick up the rumbling sound as well as it pick up the explosion sound.
Everybody knows it was Chris Christie don't make fun of him just because he tripped
tiny earthquake, shook 2 less than 2 seconds.
That's crazy to think about an earthquake on the eastcoast. WOW
West Milford 10:30 am I felt a tremor .
i was stopped for speeding there in 1971
I wanna move here
Thanks for uploading this! I grew up in Lake Hopatcong and am very familar with Netcong. I used to love Carmines Pizza and Ron's Landmark.. Haven't been back there in almost 20 years, looks exactly the same as I remember..
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for sharing this video,, New Jersey is beautiful and people are very friendly,, God bless America and American people 🇺🇲❤️☮️
Thank you.
My family stayed (I think) at the Hewlitt Wellington, or a place right near that back in 1952. I remember it to this day.
Awesome job, it's my favorite song and current ringtone.💯♥️👍😎☘️
Nostalgia 😌
It is beautiful for a scenic ride but to live there especially winter,I'll stick to my little home by the bay in Monmouth county and my WaWa and italian stores 10 minutes away!
I love your videos of my home towns. Do you ever go through Hopatcong? I’ve seen Landing and Lake Hopatcong. I’ve lived on both sides of the lake. It would be nice to see Hopatcong too!
Thanks for watching. I'm glad that you enjoy the videos. I do drive through Hopatcong occasionally. Here is a link to video from a while back where I drive through Hopatcong: th-cam.com/video/Qfg73BN-gi4/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for sharing,, i have beautiful memories about NJ,,, God bless America and American people ❤️☮️
Unlike the Jersey Shore of Ocean County, the runaway developments haven't come to Sussex... Yet.
