I think most Americans wouldn't like a real authentic Italian Marinara. It tastes like 99% tomatoes and scant hints of everything else. Store bought sauces have almost everything you can think of in there! One trick I use is if the sauce is going to have meat, I add a touch of powdered Wyler's Beef bouillon. If it's chicken, add chicken bouillon. Better than bouillon is great as well and they have a lot more flavors. This way you don't have to add salt but NOTE (!) Wyler's has MSG in it so be careful. Way to spruce up a “Mundane Marinara”
Ohhhh bam! Mundane Marinara has to be the winner. 🏆
I skip the sauce in the jar and make my own, with Hunts 1 small can of paste, 1 medium can of crushed tomatoes, and 1 large can of sauce. Add salt, pepper, oregano and parsley, that's all you need, it tastes great and it doesn't cost a fortune. Add onions and garlic if you like, whatever else you want, but either way, simple and delicious.

I would not say the jar sauce is shitty its just incomplete, good base to build on. I always start with the same base sauce, Ragu traditional, because its consistent and mild. I do sausage link, onions and garlic and olive oil, and add meat balls from the oven. I also rinse the jar with a couple tablespoons of water when I dump it in. Cook for 40 to 50 minutes. My mom, who never uses jar sauce, even likes it.

This is nornal, you need always put something more to market sauce Normally a few fresh cherry tomatoes, olive oil, basil and parmazan is ok. If you will buy some better store sauce and fux it a little bit. Taste like home made

Usually an all purpose seasoning is a mix of some basic/general seasonings (i.e. salt, pepper, garlic, onion). It’s good stuff, this was is from a brand Goya.

Awesome recipe.I use the same exact ingredients including milk or half and half in the egg bath, but have never used the lemon or freezer or sauce, which I'll begin using all 3 now. IG you could have used chicken stock with the milk for the roux. I too mess up dry n wet hands. Sometimes I use tongs. Sometimes I also use DonArepa arepa cornmeal, white degerminated cornmeal, but usually use that just for fried catfish with the flour and P Italian Bread crumbs, which are delish. Yes, I'm sure your Nonna would have liked that story! I had read about small subs transporting drugs. Sad that America's insatiable appetite for cocaine causes so much distress in Central and South America, too. I saw a YT video not too long ago about culinary school for military cadets, I think they were airforce.

Great video. I made this a while back and found that a sear with a touch of oil worked great. The trick is always to make sure the tuna itself doesn't get too cooked in order to preserve a slight Sashimi texture.
