Sterling Ink makes plenty of great date stickers. That was actually the thing I started buying first before I got into her planners. Plus love the florals. :)

The Lamy 2000 is my ride or die fountain pen. Maybe not the most attractive, but it writes like a dream and is easy to fill. I have the EF and it writes fairly boldly.

I love my Lamy 2000. I wasn't expecting to because it's so much smaller than the pens I usually choose, but it writes so smoothly and feels comfortable in the hand. I use it more than I thought I would. I like the materials and the elegant and understated design, but the writing experience is most important.

I got the green one too, but mine is a UEF. I use Monteverde Green in mine, but I would bet that Octopus Fluids Goblin would be great with a Coarse nib.

You are talking about my favorite pen! I’m sort of a newbie with fountain pens but since I discovered Pilots I don’t need to buy any more fountain pens. I have a Pilot Custom 845 and I also have an 823, but the 743 is my favorite. I too hated to pay US prices instead of turning to Japan but I was lucky to find one at less than retail and I was overjoyed to buy it. I am so happy with it! It writes like butter on glass, just to die for. And, like you, I love the color. I don’t really want to use the blue ink that came with it and I am still trying to decide which ink to use. I did buy a bottle of green ink by Pilot, the same one you bought, but I haven’t tried it yet. I have to smile at your pleasure when you discovered how wonderfully it writes because I felt the same way. It is the perfect pen! And with a fabulous color too!

Me (a german) using fountain pens since elementery school watch this an requests 'there's fountain pen frindly paper?' We used the crappiest paper in school!😂 And as a I grew up with Lamy like most in germany I havn't had any problem with any paper, not even in Leuchturm books. And honestly the ink is gosting through your paper so in my opinion it is not realy made for fountain pens... I used so many fountain pens in my life and somehow I always get back to Lamy.

Thank you so much for sharing this. Love the notebook. Here is a quick tip when using your fountain pens or any pens that doesn't dry fast: use a blotter to absorb the extra ink. That way you don't have to wait for it to dry and it'll prevent any of the ink from running. As a crafter I love to use the paper ones and then when they're filled up I use then in my journals or scrapbooks for decorating my pages.

goodinkpressions still uses original Tomoe 68 cream, machine 7 paper, on their website. With a different binding. The rest is machine 9.

Nice! I'll check them out. the B and N in my area stocks Leuchtrum as well. Not my first choice of paper, but their 52gsm loose leaf are one of my favorites for writing down random ideas, intrusive thoughts, and general one-off writing. They have a silky feel that's nice to the touch but can make fountain pens feel a bit "draggy".

Tomoe River is my all time fav, it's thin but works so well with FP but they are expensive. I buy looseleaf tomoe river papers and make make my own notebooks instead

I appreciate your review! In Canada, we have Chapters instead of B&N, however the limited paper that they carry is all for ballpoint/gel pens. A new (to me) brand that I discovered a few years ago and absolutely ADORE are Dingbats Notebooks. They are absolutely incredible and are made to be fountain pen friendly. I found them at a local independent bookstore but they can also be ordered directly from the company.

I don't know if these are worth full price. Nearly $30!
