    I love that you don't know the number of your pens off the top of your head. That is telling - you are not stressed about the amount at all. Thanks so much for including this in the video.

    • @StationeryDumpling
      @StationeryDumpling  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes! Thank you :) I don't stress about it too much because I enjoy having pens to rotate. Even if I have a 100% amazing pen, if I use it every single day, I will get bored of it. So if I have pens to rotate out, then I get to appreciate it with a new enthusiasm every time after it's been put away :)

    Yep I am also one of those who think value and rather get a bottle instead of a sample. Thanks for the fun video! 🙌🏻🖋🌸

      Me too! When I buy ink, I want it to last a long time and I want to get the best deal. Maybe someday I’ll get into samples if I want to try some colors that are out of my comfort zone.

    Thank you for sharing your 8 pen questions. :)
    Btw, for your Pilot Custom 743 with FA nib, I see it railroading…can I suggest looking into Flexible Nib Factory’s replacement ebonite feed. Either the 2-slit or 3-slit. I think it would help you get better ink flow

    • @optimalwellnessyoga
      @optimalwellnessyoga 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I was just checking to see if anyone had suggested this. I definitely recommend upgrading the feed if you are regularly flexing to this degree. And why wouldn’t you flex like this? It’s unfortunate that Pilot hasn’t just included a feed upgrade with this nib.

    • @StationeryDumpling
      @StationeryDumpling  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oooh I had heard about those when I was researching the pen initially. I forgot all about it! Thank you both for the suggestion. I'll have to add the upgrade to my stationery wishlist :)

    This was so fun! I share your love for Sailor pens, and we both have the brown line friends one, which is one of my favourites! I also feel less of a barrier to buying inks, compared to pens, although I’m starting to feel a bit overwhelmed with my collection, so I’m trying to slow down. Oh, and I totally keep a spreadsheet 😅 The amount I’ve spent on pens is scary, but I suppose it has kept me in check!

    • @StationeryDumpling
      @StationeryDumpling  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yay!! Pen twins :) The little bear face on the finial always gets me 😆. I know right? I am trying to slow down too... At least the spreadsheet comes in handy if we ever want to sell any! BTW, I adore your channel!

    I have an Excel sheet as well… otherwise I could not keep up with the amount of pens and inks I own… and believe me, cause I know, there are people who have 10 times as many pens as you do and they still go on buying… not me, of course… 😂 But I feel as long as I use what I have (yes, it‘s possible), I‘m ok. Also, it‘s my hobby and I love it… nuff said. 😊 Thanks for sharing ! (Oh, and do try a Leonardo…;)

    • @StationeryDumpling
      @StationeryDumpling  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hahah sometimes I see these people and I'm like 😱 so many pens!! They say "We don't count the number" 😜 Hahah. But who knows... maybe one day I'll accidentally get there haha. You are so right. It is my hobby as well, and if it brings me joy and doesn't hurt anyone, then why not? I do want to try a Leonardo!! Do you have a model to suggest?

    • @Heidejournal
      @Heidejournal 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@StationeryDumpling It depends on your size preferences… do you like big pens? Choose a Grande model. If not, better a standard size. Momento Zero or Furore… I like them both. Steel or gold nib… both are good in my opinion. Maybe you get the chance to test them somehow ? Otherwise it might be a good start to get a standard size Momento Zero or Furore with a steel nib since they don‘t break the bank that much. ;) They are similar in size to the Esterbrook Esties. The Furore model also looks very similar.

      @Heidejournal thank you! I will probably lean towards the momento zero then. Hopefully I can try one soon. 💙

    Carol!! 2 inks and 2 pens per brand is way too limiting 😂 I’m impressed you thought that was feasible at one point! That takes a lot of restraint. FWP was most likely laughing under their breaths when they came to you with all their pretty shimmers and boxes lol!! I love how you’re able to use that FA nib. Such beautiful thin and broad strokes you can make with it!! And yes…. Those damn sailors!!!! Just another color on the same damn pen but they make it so damn pretty like all the pretty Washi tapes we must collect. It’s such a sinful pen brand! But every brand can do that. Just different audiences. 😅 thanks for sharing your journey. And look at my videos…always in the 35-45 minute range lol. Your video wasn’t too long at all 😊

    • @StationeryDumpling
      @StationeryDumpling  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      hahaha I thought I'd be ok. I was actually justifying my 3rd FWP bottle since it was a "different shape". they have 3 different bottle sizes :D It was truly Wearinguel that got me with their exact same bottles and me buying 5 of them. 😂 I forgot to mention that I had intended on collecting at least one bottle of ink from every single brand because I want fun glass bottle shapes hahaha. I felt like I was struggling with that FA nib... I need to give it more patience. Sailors are definitely a form of kryptonite, lol... Thanks for the video length encouragement. I want to make longer videos tbh. Feels like I'm hanging out with everyone for longer!

    Hearing your fountain pen journey was very interesting. I would have never thought that Target sold fountain pen ink. 😅 But they're becoming like Amazon.
    I thought that calligraphy pens were the same as fountain pens in the beginning, too. JH Emeraude de Chivor and Caffe Crema are some of my favorite inks as well. 😊 I agree that it IS the perfect shade of brown. 😌
    I usually prefer fine nibs, but I have a few medium nibs that I love.

      I think Target actually stopped selling the pens and ink haha. I can't find them anymore. Wow! we share similar beginnings. I love that. I mean, fountain pens just seemed so fancy and intricate. It had to be for calligraphers, right? lol. Thank you for watching ☺️ I still need to check out yours!!

    Thank you for sharing. I'm wondering why your black pen sounds so scratchy when you write and it seems like it's skipping... is this a pilot pen? I'm thinking I want to get one, but now I'm not sure...

    • @StationeryDumpling
      @StationeryDumpling  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! This is a Pilot Custom 742 with a Falcon (FA) nib. It is intended to be able to flex. Unfortunately, it is not the greatest flex nib in the market because of its feed. It could also be the angle that I was writing with, causing it to skip. I was trying to do calligraphy at a fast pace. I would not use this pen to represent Pilot pens. I have 3 other gold nib pens from Pilot (Pilot Vanishing Point, Pilot Elite 95s, and Pilot Custom 743) and I love love love them all! I recently posted a video for the 743 and it is my favorite pen of all. :)
