A Team Leader and Their Plebe - A West Point Short Film
A short film depicting mentorship at West Point:
At West Point, each Plebe (freshman) is assigned a Yearling (sophomore) as a Team Leader. It's the Team Leader's responsibility help guide and develop their Plebe through their first year at the Academy.
Written, produced, and filmed by Cadet Peter Merten and starring his fellow Cadets from Company C4 (Go Cowboys!).

As a pioneer woman West Point grad and the first cadet in history to quit West Point (Feb 79) allowed to return the next year as an unrecognized plebe, I second this cadets experience. However, keep an eye on government, and who the military is taking orders from!

Will any of these graduates ever have real jobs, and actually have to work for a living? That is the million dollar question.
Free housing, free health care for your family, great pay, and you serve your nation. You only have to leave once you are forced to retire because you couldn't get promoted. But even then, there are industries reliant on Veterans joining them. There's also the Jag corps that is literally just a bunch of lawyers. There's also the Engineering corps, medical corps, and the professors are West Point that would help you get a job.
Does serving your nation not count as a real job?

Do you need to take Math courses all 4 years in west point?
Thanks for your question. It really depends on your major. If you have a STEM major, expect to take math or some math heavy courses each year. If you major in the humanities (English, international relations, etc.), you likely will not have math heavy courses your senior year, but you will still have some your first three years.

@Devinanim go ahead and start doing sports, extracurricular, community service, and studying for the ACT. I'm in 11th and it wasn't until this year I realized I wanted to go to one of the service academies. I'm pretty screwed now🫠
