I had read that DJI had updated all the software on new bikes filtering through so you can not de restrict them, i had first seen a badly made video of the de restricting on here been done via the menu.

Cheers bro I ride my EP801 using the Assist level adjustment menu I find switching through the assist levels as well as changing gears gives me a great ability to get just the amount of assistance I need at every moment. My bike is also de restricted to 35 km an hour Makes for easy and fast portage between trails And the motor won't cut out on me as I attack short assents and fast sections of trail Surprising just how much range you can get

I have a dodgy knee and sciatica and ride in Shropshire on a Trek Rail 5 Custom. I simply cannot understand why anyone would require powered assistance up to 30mph, twice the UK’s legal limit but I’m free to be educated.

Cracking video done in real UK winter conditions but less of the de restriction nonsense. We already have the BBC and Plod on our backs here in the UK, can’t see the point of looking for trouble for no good reason. Got to ask but did manage to do the majority of that climbing in ECO?

The paintwork is crap straight out of the box and they blame the owner. They’re taking the piss, especially given that early adopter to their bikes are doing their beta testing.

Your motivation to ride in those conditions is commendable, as the saying goes " if you're waiting for perfect conditions, you will never go !" applies in most parts the UK. There lots of people posting content on the Amflow but your channel is where people like myself will get a good honest idea of how the DJI system holds up in the worst possible conditions. DJI should be sponsoring you as a stress tester for their gear :)

But I’m already concerned my battery can’t do the miles I wanted. Not sure if it’s a crap battery or cause it’s got full tatties it’s using the battery quicker. Still got to do more miles to check. Honestly I don't expect this to last long. One thing people haven't considered with this bike is how easy it is to catch out derestrictions; it has a built in GPS. It knows where it is and it can simply measure GPS speed vs motor power output. It won't be a case of "if" DJI catches riders out doing this but "when". Very very easy to do from DJI's end.
