I know this old video but if you notice weird issues after carwash or heavy rain its most likely a wet bcm. Very common with this car, located in passenger kick panel it gets wet due to water coming in from behing the battery. 2 rubber boots that seal the main wiring harness where it enters the firewall into the cabin. If you ran your amp power wire through this guarantee this is your problem! Usually no need to replace bcm just remove, open up and let it dry out, use electrical parts cleaner to spray the board and connector pins, let dry and replace. Windshield silicone all over the rubber boot and that wil fix it permanently. Hope this helps someone out there ✌️

First off, nice looking Camaro. 98 - 02 F bodies came with LS1 engines, which are 5.7 liters. The 853 heads came on 5.7 engines, from the factory. Now the engine block might be a 6.0, that would be great! On the passenger side, left side of the engine, towards the front, where the AC compressor is should be cast on the engine block, the size! Hopefully 6.0 or 5.3/4.8

Great car, the ls1 is a great platform to build from. Do your research and you will see that can become a hellcat killer if you take it serious.

You usually see 853 heads on either a 5.3 or a 5.7 from 98-02. My best guess is a 5.7 which thats what they originally came with. Plus doesnt look like atleast to me like a 5.3 or a 6.0 block. Looks like stock intake aswell from what I saw. A really good project car to say the least either way.

I believe that if you look front left of engine block it's should have what engine it is molded on block.

Just for future reference, you can pull the fans and leave the shroud in. Saves you from disconnecting the rad hose. I undid the sway bar just for extra room.

Just a tip to all watching for replacement tips, always use OEM for alternators. Z1 sells it for $550

I did my water pump on the G man it was annoying and very time consuming considering i also work at a shop so be prepared when it does go out cause you have to open the timing chain cover. When i finally fixed it my alternator and battery went out cause my car sat for awhile but anyway just a heads up.
