Learn Burmese Grammar | How to say 'It's not that I don't...' | Myanmar for English Speakers
In this episode of Love Myanmar Grammar, find out how to use မ...လို့ မဟုတ်ပါဘူး to say 'It's not that I don't...' in sentences like 'It's not that I don't love you' or 'It's not that I don't want to help' etc.
GRAMMAR NOTE
Another way to say 'It's not that I don't want to + verb' is
မ... ချင်တာ မဟုတ်ပါဘူး
EXAMPLE:
It’s not that I don't want to give her a chance.
သူမကို အခွင့်အရေးမပေးချင်တာ မဟုတ်ပါဘူး။
Thank you Suu Sandi for the lesson and May Thu for the pronunciation!
💡 LEARNING TIP:
Make sure you use the pauses in the video to give yourself an opportunity to practice saying the Myanmar aloud - this is a really important part of consolidating your learning.
And if you find that the pauses are too short, pause the video to give yourself time to work it out and speak at a pace that's comfortable and relaxed for you.

A NOTE ON ROMANISATION:
We’ve made the decision not to include the romanised version of the Myanmar words included in our videos. While it can seem to be helpful at the beginning, it can end up being a bit of a ‘crutch’. From our experience, we can definitely recommend taking the time to learn to read the Myanmar script as a priority, as this will ensure a more accurate and consistent result.
Love Myanmar videos are presented on the basis that the viewer can now read the Myanmar script.
Thanks for joining us for this Myanmar lesson. See you next time!
