Do you mind sharing your k tunner settings? Like vtec engagement rpm etc. i got a acura tlx with the same j35 engine.

What parts did you upgrade and if so where? I have a 2009 8th gen sedan v6 I want to make it quicker

for a tune google honda tuning suite and get one from Cash aka XGN Performance, thats my tuner. and he'll give u pops and bangs and flames all day if you want

I bought the same car about a year ago. a black six cyl. with a 6spd with 53k miles..Its the most fun car ever. everytime i drive it its a blast...
Love to see Halferland getting love! Those guys are the real deal for all things J-Series. Currently have an 08 Coupe V6 build going after my 08 Sedan V6 was totaled.
How many miles are you at now? I hope you’ve been changing the ATF with every oil change, driving that hard. Everything around the late 6AT’s and up with in-house Honda/Acura were solid, but still had some issues here and there. Did you ever change out the in-line trans filter? I think i usually mention this on like all 6AT videos. LOL That’s like one of the best things you can do for the 6AT, aside from running really good Dexron VI ATF and changing it frequently. That, and of course, not doing shit like brake-standing and launching the car super frequently… Or God forbid, neutral dropping the car, or even switching from drive and reverse back and forth (“stunt” driving)
I change it every 10k miles which ends up being like every 3rd oil change cus i dont drive it frequently, oil gets changed every 6 months and usually only has about 3k miles on it by then

@@75sRax intake, bigger throttle body, ported n polished intake manifold, CNC ported intake manifold runners, highflow precats, longtube j pipe w/ 3rd cat delete, midpipe, catback, lightweight crank pulley, 93 tune, light rims, gutted trunk, gutted rear of cabin In this video the car just had intake + 91 tune tho it's like a year old
I bought my 9th gen v6 accord sedan a year ago for 9K with 107,000 miles. And I absolutely love it, i bought a takeda cold air intake and it rips

I installed the mods based on your recommendation with almost everything from RV6 and I appreciate your insight. Just minus HFPC and K-Tuner What are your opinions on the rv6 straight cut 3rd/4th gear set?
Get HFPC and a HTS tune before anything else, also those straight cut gears are good for 6mt cars but u don't need them unless you're turbo or supercharged

still rips with the 6 speed auto! I chose it cus I didn't want to pay the premium for a manual transmission and I don't regret it
@@MarkIV_Garage Nice! Same, I am on the hunt for one and tempted to get an auto since the manual is so expensive. Does it hold first gear alright for you?
@@GurenMarkIII first gear doesnt hold unfortunately. at least in my 16. itll stay in the rest of the gears until you decide to shift when using paddles. when it shifts out of first gear and into second you can still downshift and get it to go back down into first gear if youre like under 20 mph still. then itll hold. but off the line itll shift when the ecu tells it to.
@@stevenfernandez969 So strange. I would think when you switch it into “S” it would rev up to redline or at least close to it. I guess it’s for fuel econ? But if the driver wanted fuel econ, they wouldn’t be using “S” mode. Weird decision by Honda to program the computer that way. Are the pre-facelift 9th gens any different or would that not make a difference?
@@GurenMarkIII mines pre facelift and still won't hold first, even in manual mode using paddles it auto upshifts to 2nd very early. Also mines for sale 😉
You need to get your oil changed. When your oil is below like 20% the computer greatly limits the performance of the car. I drive a 2013 accord V6 and from a dead stop I reach 60 in the time you went from 35 to 60 in this video. It's like 4.8-4.9 seconds. When the check engine light is off, oil changed, tire pressure good, the computer removes the limits on the engine. It still revs high but torque is limited and you can feel it dragging a bit here. Under more severe errors the car actually enters something called limp mode where the engine is limited to 3500 rpm and very low torque.
what year of accord is this? out of all the 9th gen the 2013 is the fastest and they got slower each year by a small amount
Nice purchase, i bought mine brand new 2015 and still have it. Amazing car only issue was years ago was starter but replaced by honda other than that no issues.
