The section from Monarch pass to Conchetopa creek is the transition from the Collegiate range to the San Juan range. It goes through pastures so a lot more cows but the San Juan's are very worth it.

You pushed through your fear and the emotions needed releasing afterward! If thru-hikers, climbers and adventurist are honest, we’ve all been there. Reflect on the situations and grow from them! This is the first video of yours I’ve watched and I appreciate your courage and definitely the fear. Glad ya made it and are inspiring us to keep moving upward and onward.

Hey North Star... My favorite part of this video? Yep, seeing you going to church. I love that so much. It shows where your heart is and is a reminder that the Scripture says of God... "...those who honor me will I honor..." Attending the trail town churches when you can is one of the richest experiences a hiker can have. Way to go, North Star. And btw, your Sunday "best" of loaner clothes looked just fine.

Bikes shouldn't b allowed that r motorized !!! Wow, like horses it really ruts the trail 😢 !!!! 0 of all the types of trails I think that's one that I like the least besides road walking I just do not like trails that are red it's so deep because of either horses or motorized anything. Thank the Lord for rain because it clears them stupid motorcyclists out in a hurry. But nothing stops the horses I know because I've been on them you put your sticker on and you keep going😢.

This was a good and productive day. You’re doing great! Be glad the vegetation that you had to wade through in shorts wasn’t Stinging Nettle. I don’t think it grows in that part, at least, of Colorado but you’ll find a fair amount of it in the Cascades generally in lower, wetter areas. No fun to walk through if you don’t have on long pants.

My best friend is on this trail right now. He reported that he was at GraysPeak. West of Boulder,Co. His trail name is THIRSTY. Hope you cross paths with him. He's a real good guy and he's hiking alone.

I saw this pop up and now I'm all smiles! I was in Salida on July 8th, (I live about 100 miles from there.) Now I'll have to binge the first 19 days.
