Same problem, what I did way buy several bags of mulch, stacked it 1 bag higher than the facet. plus the mulch stays warm and has several inches (12-15) of insulation. then when the freeze is over. I get to use the mulch

Not that I’ve been gardening that long, but this year I have not sprayed my garden at all. This has been my best year of wasps in the garden and even seeing a few worms here and there, I haven’t had any issues. Fewest number of leaf-footed bugs and other pests. Im guessing it’s from not stressing the plants with sprays. I almost let squash bugs get the best of me for leaving a sick pumpkin plant, but I threw it out and they’re gone. So try getting more wasps in and if you haven’t done it, try spraying beneficial nematodes once or twice a year. Hope that helps.

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who felt this way. I had an event on the 20th that took a lot of prep. The two preceding weeks were super busy. And being tired after didn’t help. I neglected mine for about 2.5 weeks and let me just say: everything was beautiful and green in June; July it looks like I haven’t touched the garden in months. Heat, drought, followed by heavy rains. Cracked tomatoes, rotten fruit, pickle worm damage on my melons and bugs that make me cringe that I refuse to name. And b/c of it I am still dreading going out there. Really trying to give myself grace and we all should. It has been hot like never before.

Well, that was an interesting video! I do shop Aldi's often and they do have great prices! You put your video together very well, I will have to check out your other videos, too. So, I always thought that quinoa was a wheat product, I'll have to look into that. The split peas and lentils are so full of protein and you can add them into so many dishes. Good haul!

I wish I had not bought my Countyline 25-ton splitter, but it's too late now and I guess I'm stuck with it. I HATE the design of the beam that the wedge slides on. My old splitter (a 40-year-old Yard Machine) had a beam with a simple flat surface, easy to wipe off and keep clean. The new Countyline has a (whatever you call it) groove that the wedge rides in -- a perfect trap to catch wood chips and splinters that needss constant cleaning (I finally had to set up my air compressor next to it so as to blow everything clean several times a work session.) Today I actually got a fat wood chip crammed in beside the wedge and had to get my pry bar to free it. Stupid stupid design.
