Is this a Chinese product?
You really don't know what your doing there is a trace tool that would have done all your line work and that line is a guide line you dragged down
I made a video just for you! Before you spew your ignorance in the comment section, make sure you know what you're talking about! th-cam.com/video/JWK6caN4O5g/w-d-xo.html
You're grinding way too much metal off of that knife. It does not need to be that much. Taken off
Sir, I believe you didn't understand the concept of this video. He is grinding the initial edge on the knife. There was no edge before, that is why he is taking so much metal off.
What’s the grit on that belt
good for rabbits
I remember when he fell out his tree stand and broke his back. When we went to see him in the hospital he had an old basketball he said he found I. The woods and when he was crawling back to his truck he found it and thought I’d like it. Now I wonder if it’s true. Lol
The straightness of the shaft, the head and the bow itself is what does most of the work. The Fletchings just help stabilize for longer ranges.
Do you hunt with that bow?
I haven't yet, but I will.
Cheers Mate, From Australia. I’ll give it a go. Q what was the blunt arrow used for ?
Thanks for watching! Blunts were used small game like rabbits, squirrels or birds
Ski
where u buy the magnetic rectangular?
👍
I have this machine . I grind knives on it sure beats a hobo freight 1x30. I did make a bigger table
Amazon has the VEVO 1X 30 they look the same and cheaper any recomendations?
304 stainless can be slightly magnetic. A for sure test is take a small cutting disk and grind in a spot that dose not matter. It it throws sparks it's a low grade stainless. If not it's aluminum. I've been a shop welder. Millwright And am currently a Iron Worker. Take my word that test is valid. Thanks for the tips . I have tormek for sharpening. But I'm dabbling in knife making. I have the harbor freight 1 x30 but this little guy seems like it would make much more sense
If two-feather fletching works, then won't one-feather fletching also work? Stephen Hahn of the Archery Supplies YT video series has shown many times that three-feather fletched arrows shot after losing one fletch (by arrow-arrow shearing contact at the target) fly just like full three-feather fletched arrows. It can't be a question of arrow balance, since two-feather fletching from a three-feather fletched arrow is not symmetrical, and thus imbalanced, around the shaft. Interesting idea arising from your video. Has anyone tested one-feather fletching?
Order Cliff Curry’s tracking wheel. I have 2 and they works great.
I wonder if the heat isn't from friction on the backside of the belt? Could you replace the platen with a steel one that is thinner gauge or slot the angle mounts so that the platen can be moved so that the guide base isn't proud of the belt line?
Nice work. About what speed do you sharpen at? Just received my 1x30
Wow
That is beautiful
😂
Check out the Toolcker 1x30 belt sander on Amazom! amzn.to/4b0y7zh
Beautiful knife!
Cmon😢
Put a graphite strip on it. Less heat
Is this the same machine you were sharpening with?
Yes sir!
Instead of gluing the metal plate onto the aluminum platen. Drill a couple of countersunk holes on the metal plate and a couple of tap holes on the platen to screw it on tight.
Thanks for the idea! I may do that in the near future!
Does the thing does the blue thing that you are laying the knife on move? It’s help on with a magnet right?
You are definitely your mothers child...lol! It is removable and Yes, it's held on with magnets. If you are wondering if it moves while using it, no, the magnets are strong enough to hold it in place.
You are your mother’s child! lol yeah that’s what I was wondering!
Very, very well done vid! Thanks man... I must'a used and tore-up a bunch of those eyelets while trying to figure out how to do it right! Appreciate it 👍.
Great video! Thanks!
I'd like to see this done on an actual arrowhead sized point. Seems like it would really complicate things?
Whats the music called
Show how they fly in another video

Nice video from 6 years in the future
Excellent info. Exactly what I needed to know, and it was taught clearly. Reminds me of a Khan Academy video
I have purchased Kentucky hornstone with thick cortex like that before too in order to preserve as much Flint or chert whatever you want to call it I use a 4 inch side grinder with a diamond Stone cutting disc and used it to grind of the cortex it saved me a lot of time and headaches to get the cortex off and no wasted or broken Flint nodules some might say it's cheating i only use it on the one's that have overly thick cortex's good Kentucky horn stone is a rare commodity where I live if you use this method use safety goggles and a respirator or a face mask you do not want to inhale any of the chalk dust
Thank you sir. That was awesome.
hi fella your granpa sounds like he was a great character bless him, keep up the great vids, kind regards mike in the uk.
Pretty cool
*Works perfectly for my use as a heated press **MyBest.Tools** Space between the ram jack and the base is a little tight. Make sure you set the ram jack arm so that it's in a position for you to get maximum leverage on whatever you're pressing. You may have to unbolt the front plate of the press and realign the ram in the teeth so that the arm is not at an awkward angle when fully cranked down.Other than aligning the ram in the teeth with the crank arm this .5 ton arbor press comes out of the box pretty much ready to use.*
It has always amused me when people ask if two fletch arrows are accurate, people that depended on the accuracy of their arrows to make meat and survive on a day to day basis used two fletch arrows for thousands of years. It would be like saying a 70 year old man that worked on cars his entire life knew nothing about fixing a car..
