Hi everyone! The goal is to entertain you with some cool car models and well-done DIY projects on TH-cam. I'm a total beginner in the world of social media and TH-cam, so please bear with me as the quality of this channel will improve soon (I hope :D). You may have noticed that most of the videos here are Porsche-related. I'll do my best to mix it up, but I can't guarantee my passion for the brand will diminish ;) I'll try my best, that's a promise! If you think my work is worth a cup of coffee, like, subscription, or even a donation, I would be honored and appreciative of any feedback or tips you give. It would bring me a little closer to my goal of owning a Porsche 964 1:1. Thank you!

Not every model kit is perfect, and sometimes you just have to accept the failures. This time, I decided to build the Tamiya Toyota Supra GT. Since I used the rear vents for my Porsche 911 GT3R Hybrid project, I decided to create my own custom livery, inspired by the Japanese flag. The kit is really nice-easy to build and it looks great no matter how you put it together. I did run into some issues with the decals and made several attempts to fix them. You'll see how that turned out later in the video!
Recording just for entertaining purposes, there might be as many ideas for doing it as number of all die cast in whole world :D

Na jakim ciśnieniu i duszy malowałeś ?
@@wojtasik7702 dysza 0.3, ciśnienie w okolicach 1 bara :)
this is the best toutrail I have seen
thanks a lot! 😀
Wzialem mały słoik i zamiast wieczka uzylem folii spozywczej. 2. Znalazlem WD40 z ktorego wzialem dysze i rurke. 3 Przełożyłem je na puszke z czerwona farbą. 4. przebilem folie aby rurka weszla w sloik. 5. Psikalem farbą w sloik do zera. 6. Nastepnie zostawilem na kilka godzin aby farba odgazowala! (ten krok jest szalenie istotny bo jesli zamkniesz sloik tuż po wlaniu tam farby z puszki, calosc moze wybuchnac! 7. Delikatnie włozylem drewniany patyczek do swiezo zlanej farby (ostroznie! bedzie bulgotac) 8.Po kilku godzinach jak zamieszasz nim bedzie mniej buzowac. 9. Zakrec sloik gdy mieszajac farbe w ogole nie bedzie buzowac. Zazwyczaj jest to kilka godzin, wydaje mi sie,ze po 12h zamknalem, ale nie pamietam. Potem wlewasz do aerografu rozcienczasz wedle uznania i cieszysz sie z unikalnego koloru :)
congratulations, very beatifull work!!!!
thank you! this project is quite unusual 😀
THANK YOU so much!. I am working on my airbrushing skills and got this kit for the very purpose of practicing on. I was looking for simple (once you know the tricks) and cool design. I will be working on masking and spraying this tomorrow.....OUTSTANDING!
Thank you ! I am really happy that you find my content valuable. I wanted to make this Supra look good with less masking compared to the Porsche 911 GT3R Hybrid. Initially, I thought about making a carbon hood and roof, but I finally went for simplicity, and it did the job! Good luck with your project and I hope you will enjoy working on this kit! let me know either via email or here about your progress :)
wait what? this is not the sf71h livery
@@big_handle that's interesting! SF71h it is written down below on the standing base of this f1 car 😋 what makes you think that it is not the one which Ferrari museum states?🤔
@@AdHocCars oh shit its one of the special liveries
I dont know how i didn’t see this build until tonight! You definitely have a soft spot for Porsche cars! The 959 is by far my most favorite Porsche! This car was so ahead of its time, in some respects i’d say 25 years ahead of its time! because there are things that this car has and does and no other car in its class could do! but i think this is my favorite build of all your porsche models! You did such an amazing job with the assembly, and the small details and the color choice is Incredible on this car Purple was the best choice! WOW MAN ! BRAVO BUILD! there is no limit to your imagination and Talents ! Great work Chris Klatter 😎
Thank you! 959s are indeed great cars! 😃I had a chance to sit in one that took part in the Pharaohs Rally in the 80s. You could really feel the amazing spirit of this great car. What I really like about this kit is the color and seat paint work. I was actually advised to go with purple via one of the polls I ran. I had some nice talks with a couple of people when I mentioned that I was building a 959. There is a magic about these models! The engine and engineering were incredible and far beyond their time. Thanks a lot for the positive feedback about my work. I hope you will find my other projects entertaining as well! 😀 By the way, have you seen the Porsche 911 GT3R hybrid one?
WOW! world class attention to detail! simply stunning! i’m very happy that you didn’t leave it Yellow! i know some people like yellow on the porsche 911 models but i think your color scheme is just perfect for this piece of art! great job my friend! Bravo! Chris Klatter
Thanks for such positive feedback! I'm really happy that you find this color great! Agreed, I'm not a big fan of the yellow color on Porsche cars. I wanted it to be close to this cherry red, and I think it's even better. :) This 911 GT3 has the privilege of being displayed in the living room as the only one! :)
@@AdHocCars nice!👍🏻
which is the best superglue that wont frost the windows?
I used to glue windows with Micro Kristal Klear and got really nice results, as you have enough time to position the window and wipe off the excess glue with water. Then I switched to CA glue and accidentally spilled it on the window. It didn't frost it, but the only way I could fix it was to sand it down. I used BSI Super Gold Plus, which is odorless and foam-safe. It is really great, but due to the nature of CA glue, I will probably stick to Micro Kristal Klear😀
@@AdHocCars I bought this same exact Oldsmobile kit. It will be my first. I remember trying to build a model car as a kid and my windows got frost on them from the super glue.
Perfect choice! You will have fun working on it. 😀 With BSI, you won't have the frosting issue, but you need to apply it carefully so as not to spill it over. What color did you choose for the car body? 😄
@@AdHocCars i dont have an airbrush kit so im going to paint it with a rattlecan. duplicolor metallic grey.
Sounds like a plan! 🤞 Fingers crossed for using Duplicolor! I haven't used it yet, but I've heard different opinions, from some saying it's "hot" and it disolves everything it touches to others saying it's a perfect solution for painting. Let me know which team you're on after applying it. 😀 Don't rush yourself to make everything perfect. Remember, it's supposed to be fun and entertaining, not a hassle. 😀
How long do you put your decals into the water,? I dont know how long and my usually off.
I leave the decal to soak until I see it starting to come away from the backing paper. This can take about 10 to 40 seconds but it all depends on the decal's size and shape :)
May I know the wheelbase of this bodykit?
Sure! It's 9.9 cm 😀
@@AdHocCars thanks!!
@@user-ov8lb7ed5r you're welcome! :)
Great work. When making this model, will the tolerances on the parts be very large? Because my last Ford GT Lemans model from Revell encountered many tolerance problems, I was a little afraid that this 918 would have the same problem. Did you encounter any problems during production?
It was a great kit to work on! I didn't encounter any significant issues with the fit :) I definitely recommend buying it and building it the way you prefer 😀 Which Ford GT did you build? The one from the '70s or the new version?
@@AdHocCars thank you!My Ford GT’s version is 2017.
That's interesting. This kit is from 2018, and since it is quite new, I wouldn't expect so many issues with it. My Porsche 911 G-Modell kit had a bent car body, and it was impossible to build, so I claimed a new one under warranty. In two weeks, I had a new one. You can check out the video of the gray Porsche 911 G-Modell :) th-cam.com/video/2Ot5yBtcoGQ/w-d-xo.html
also new sub !!! 😊
Thanks a lot! 😀
WOW! super awesome job on your Livery mixing the Japanese heritage with the CASTROL LIVERY was a great success i especially like how you made the tires look weathered and the exhaust pipes look like when they get used the blue and gold very nice touch! but the black that is in the body lines is a talent i don’t have very accurate and steady hands 🙌🏻 my friend! what’s next ?
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked the blend of Japanese heritage with the Castrol livery. It was a fun project, and I'm especially pleased with how the weathered tires and exhaust pipes turned out. The black in the body lines was definitely worth applying. I thought about using grey in the body lines as I was afraid that black would be too eye-catching, but it turned out pretty nice. Next, I'm planning to work on a Revell Porsche 356 model kit with some LEDs! I will put my effort into the electrical area, then focus on the livery. I hope it will be fun to watch as well! Have you seen my other projects? Which one do you find the most interesting to watch? 😀
@@AdHocCars well i will be waiting for that one for sure ! it’s awsome watching you build these cars with such great skills and dedication. thank you chris Klatter
Thanks, Chris, for such kind words! Now I feel even more motivated to start the project! :D
@@AdHocCars have you ever thought of doing a F1 race car? like a 1988-90 mclaren mp4 that Ayrton Senna drove with the Marlboro Livery ? that would be so cool. anyway just thought i’d ask have a great day chris klatter
Hi Chris!Frankly speaking, some time ago I considered buying an RC F1 car from Tamiya to see how they drive. Also, one of my friends asked me to build him an F1 model car. At that time, I couldn't find any in stock at a reasonable price. After your question, I started looking again, and there aren't many to choose from. Most of them are discontinued, out of stock, or just a bit too expensive. So, I would like to buy and build an F1 car, but I will monitor the market to find one to build. Thanks for asking and reminding me about F1 model kits! Have a great day! 😀
Mega fajny projekt...
Dzięki! Inny niż pozostałe Toyoty Supry i inny niż na pudelku 😀
Great recovery on the minor issues like the decals. This turned out pretty incredible, all the paint scheme effort was well worth it. Totally looks like a privateer car that could have been in Super GT at the time.
Thanks a lot! I am pretty happy with the overall result. There are some issues here and there, like minor decals, but I'm quite happy with how the rims and the exhaust turned out. As someone told me, we are always our own worst critics 🙃
@@AdHocCars it's okay and totally understandable to be frustrated with those issues. You recovered well like I said where you were able to and made the best of it I think; you finished and it's a nice model as you correctly point out. I know it's not exactly what you hoped for, I think we all shoot for perfection, so I completely get it. But it's still a great addition to your superb collection of hard work.
Thanks a lot for your supportive feedback!🙃
Great work! Oh, I've had decals peel off before too. But you didn't give up. That's amazing! One of the things I like about your work is filling in holes. It was fun to watch you carefully fill in the depressions in the hood. By the way, does your painting environment produce any dust? My painting environment produces an incredible amount of dust, so it's difficult to apply a glossy paint job.
Thanks! I'm glad I'm not the only one who experienced this. 🙃 Actually, I didn't have any other idea on how to fill those gaps that were initially planned for air vents. I took a PLA sheet, measured, and cut off two pieces, then tried to fit them. The thing I would change, probably, would be the putty. Next time, I would go for epoxy since the regular one shrinks a lot! I needed to apply it a couple of times to get the correct smoothness, and even after many layers, it's not perfect, so you can still see the edges... but lesson learned. 😀 I have a lot of issues with dust in the spray booth! I tried spraying the interior with water, then moistening paper towels, and vacuuming the filter... it's actually impossible to get rid of it. 🫣 I've seen some spray booths with a water cascade. Maybe that would do the job, but... they're a bit expensive. 😀
素晴らしい❤デカール有り有りですね😢自分なら諦めてしまいます😅

Love this
these speed champions are great!
I have just found your channel, I have to say that I probably wouldn't have looked at your channel with out your build up of the beautiful 442. That got my attention just seeing the thumbnail. Watching you go though the painting process with the added info on mixing and products used, really is appreciated. I've been a life long modeler, but I'm still learning at age 65, I hope you will build many more American muscle cars from that wonderful era in automotive history. Your Porsche builds are amazing as well, but we just don't see that many on this side of the pond. There are so many great kits being offered of muscle cars now, using your talents to bring them to life would be well worth watching to learn. The muscle car era started in the USA in the early 60's with the Pontiac GTO for 1964. Big block engines in (at that time) mid-sized cars started the ball rolling. Then "pony cars" came to life via Fords 1964 1/2 Mustang. GM followed suite with the '67 Camaros and Firebirds. Chrysler jumped up their little Barracuda as well. The Muscle car era was in full swing with all the American car companies by the late 60's with cars like the Duster, 442, Chevelle SS, Torino, GTX, and Javelin just to name a few. I hope you will investigate this venue further, your talent would really be welcomed by myself and many more modelers everywhere! My 2 cents from an old modeler from North Carolina. :D
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my content and for leaving such a detailed and thoughtful comment! I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the video, especially the build-up of the 442. Your kind words about my painting process and the information on mixing and products used mean a lot to me. I admire your extensive knowledge of muscle cars. I've been passionate about this hobby for almost three years now, and I can see there are plenty of areas where I can still improve. Learning from experienced modelers like you is incredibly valuable, and I'm eager to continue growing my skills. What advice or ideas would you like to share with a novice like me? Your insights would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, I'm curious about your perspective: what do you consider to be modern-day kit muscle cars?Thank you again for your support and for sharing your wisdom. I look forward to hearing more from you and to exploring more American muscle car kits in the future! Greetings from Europe! It’s wonderful how the world has become smaller, making it easier for people from different parts of the globe to connect with each other. 😊
Excellent build of this great kit! First of your video's I've seen, but not the last! I hope you will do more of the new kits of American muscle cars. Would like to see your vision of how these kits can be brought to life.
I appreciate your support and enthusiasm! It means a lot to hear that you enjoyed the video and want to see more content like it. I will definitely consider doing more American muscle car kits in the future. Which one should I start with? :)
@@AdHocCars of I were to give one car, it would probably be the 1969 Dodge Charger made by Revell. It's one of the iconic muscle cars of that era. For a more challenging build, I would recommend the MPC 1967 Pontiac GTO. Where it is an iconic car, this kit is plagued with fitment issues. I personally think you could make this ill fitting kit into a beautiful build, I feel it would be more important to the hobby for others to see that even the not so good kits can be made beautifully with some patience.
That's a great idea! Actually, I almost bought this kit because it was at a good price at the local shop, but at that moment, I remembered my unstarted projects and decided to come back to it once I finish them. Thanks a lot!
@@AdHocCars I know exactly how that is, I too have several kits just "in process" hanging around the workbench or in the hobby room stash somewhere. I sent an email showing the 67 GTO kit I built.
why you applied whtie primer after grey? Why not only white?
It is easier to spot scratches on gray primer, so I put the gray one first and then the white one to provide a nice base for red. 😀 You can use white primer first without gray; it is not mandatory to follow two primers. 😀

albo fejm 😀
Whoa, awesome design
This supercharger is absolutely great!
nice job !
Thanks!! 😀
Black color really makes this red POP
Absolutely agree! The black color matches so well with the carmine red! :D
But how to make the plastic stand 😅
Haha, that's a great idea! 😁 I need to think about how to make it. Acrylic glass, wood, or plaster... there are so many possibilities :D
@@AdHocCars can you make a video how to make a stand with plastic or wood?
@@RifatDawah I need to think how to make it easy and simple without much overengineering 😀 would you be interested to see a replica of bburago stand or some sort of diorama?
@@AdHocCars iam a big collector of diecast cars, and many of the cars don’t have any cases or boxes, due to that the cars are getting dirty, i want easy way to make cases for 1/32 scale cars, you can make a video so that people could make such and get relief 😊
thanks for inspiration! Now I have what to think about! 😁
Do you have the 992 ? I can find it anywhere 🤷🏾♂️
Unfortunately, not... I would like to build the 992 from Alpha Models, but it is too expensive...I have a Porsche 911 GT3 RC on the shelf from Tamiya waiting for its turn. 😀
It's actually very good. Just snap together and no glue? Comes with its own screwdriver. Just thinking, it would be great for a kid in hospital. Hospitals are boring places and this would be fun.
Certainly! There are two sets of wheels to choose from. No glue is required; simply snap the components together and begin playing. 😀 For some parts, you need a bit more strength, but there is always an adult to help. 😀 That is an excellent idea! I previously taught English to children, and I recall a hospital visit I made to cheer up a young boy who had requested it. It was actually he, not his parents😀 So I can imagine how boring this experience can be. 😀
Not real Porsche centre wheel caps. These are made of plastic, the originals are made of aluminum…
They are originals :) metal center wheel caps were used in 928/964/993 but not in 996 I assume due to cost saving 😀
