What a great Art pop band they should be lauded much more than they are. To me it is Beatles ,10cc and then Prefab Sprout that took the pop song into a different but familiar place . Kudos to them .
Thank you you gorgeous people Love you for ever and ever 🙏🏽 thank you 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
qué ANIMALES 🙌
What a tune.
This song plays in my head whenever I'm walking past my crush.
What a great tune, but not sure if the audience got it.
Genius!❤🏴⚒👊🏽
That vocal on point. Crazy good.
The best pop band of the eighties?
Two wheels good was a fantastic album
excellent
It looks like most of the people there didn't know who Prefab Sprouts were.
When Pop Oozes Class
I think Bruce won
Gives me goosebumps everytime I hear PS. Brilliant. What a time the 90s was! At any volume they were great 😢

Paddy is up to brian wilson, mccartney, randy newman
The genius of Paddy, brilliant songs from a wonderful album, love this live version, stunning, so glad I saw them in Liverpool around this time.
"I remember that" ... the demo version without guitar is better than the one on the album
Sound of my life. All gone now but great times.
My husband engineered the Protest songs album, before we had met.
@@64HomeMade What was it like working with them?
@benjivintage by all accounts it was, effortless, professional an absolute pleasure. Vocals, over dubs Record it, mixed it, and all in 2 weeks!!
Talking Scarlet is my fave Sprout song
❤
Brill ❤
Nice version. Yi Yi not yeah, yeah , that's my only criticism. Otherwise a nice soulful version.
If I was going to a desert island and only allowed a few albums, Steve McQueen would be one of them. Bonny is one of the finest songs ever written. Paddy is a wordsmith like Paul Weller, Paul Heaton and Mark Hollis. Thank you for your music Paddy 🙏
Paddy was/is brilliant,Wendy Smith was beautiful.
Freezer people!!!
Could people😢
Makes me cry. Things used to be so much better.
Pompous and insincere HOST
love this song... what makes it even more endearing is seeing it on The Late Late Show lol... closer ties xxx
2 years and only 2.3k views and 151 likes? This is Prefab gold!! Brilliant! Playing in a "traditional" four piece band, I now know how we might play Prefab songs on stage, hopefully approaching as Paddy would have intended 41 years ago. Bonny is incredible here!! Technique is very close to the album version, love that song so much, the energy is unmistakable, probably even more energetic in this performance - the quiet jazzy sections are played so beautifully on the drums by Neil. Beautiful guitar and bass work too before the majestically-tumultuous coda. Amazing. Diana version is cool and thrashy here, but the album version is tender and sensitive, and that's where the real beauty exists in the song. Green Isaac is spot on! That song was fully-formed, was the gig after the album release? Same question re. Hallelujah - all of Wendy's harmonisations are as per the album version, she sang, and they played, the album version. Beautiful. There's no singer like Paddy tho, obviously. And, obviously, no songwriter like Paddy too. And add to that, they're the best band ever, of course. Pure magic. A band of the ages...
Life was never fair to Paddy
who up benjing they shi
Superb band Golden Calf is one of my fav songs evdr
Over 24 years ago? I can't get my head around it. Still, I couldn't get my head around the 21st Century. It's always the '2000s' in my tiny mind. I used to be able to distinguish decades - and all the months that made them up. Not anymore.
Preferred Sprout is a hidden gem. These TH-cam videos left me in awe-their live performances sound almost identical to the album versions. The songwriting is beautiful, and they execute it with remarkable precision.
Much love in October 2024 to all 💋💋💋❤️❤️❤️
GREAT vocal performance. Sounds like the rest of the track is the studio recording, but so so good. I can't even count the number of times I listened to this song when it came out. Wore out a lot of walkman batteries.
I do believe I can hear live Neil's snare on top of the original recording. All the fills and nuances are too specific to not be. He's just playing the kit lightly to fill it in. Still love it.
keys and electric guitar sure but not paddy or the drummer from what i can tell
Absolument magnifique ! Immense s artistes, ils me font tjs rêver..
One of thee greatest songwriters! Pete Woodroffe Music UK
That voice😍😍😍😍😍
😊❤
What a brilliant group (just Wendy missing) and wonderful rendition of When Love Breaks Down. My favourite is Nightingales and The Sound of Crying (which sadly is still number one across the world today). Forever Enchanted.
What you talking about bro?……10 Studio albums is hardly a small repertoire 😜
God bless him!
Que chimba de temas. 🦾🦾🦾😉🔥🔥🔥🖤☻️
Came here after SEAL interview 😂😂😂
Cowboy Dreams…..just one of his many, many beautiful songs.
Paddy look like John Lennon.
The nose knows.
