The finale was great. Sir Pentious is my fave, glad he's in heaven. Shows I'd recommend Dan Da Dan (anime on Netflix), upcoming Helluva Boss episode, Arcane season 2, Beastars season 3, MHA season 7, Owl House (Disney).

If they kill Sir Pentious I'm going to riot - then he died - but on the plus side he got to be reborn as an angel - I love how Emily and Sera reactions contrast each other Emily being in pure state of joy and Sera in an existential crisis over her life mistakes and Alastor definitely has a father-like relationship with Niffty but he asexual and has most likely never had sex with anyone. If we are lucky season 2 is going to come out in late 2025 - great reaction

Im not sure exactly, but its probably turning into him, because the gem is the source of their being, so she gave up her being for steven to get her gem. I dont think the logic behind it was planned out though. It was kind of addressed in a later eposode, but not much.

They seem to be wrapping some of the game mechanics into the vestiges. Been a while but I think it was blink that Ripley was using in the campaign.

So I dont know how deep to go, but here ya go: Basically, it is described as their visible forms aren't "real" as shown by Amethyst as she transforms a lot. So when Steven is "born" Rose gave up her physical form while mixing DNA of Greg to make Steven as a baby. With Greg's human DNA Steven is able to grow up like a human and later on able to change his body.

First half of the episode titled: Dammit Charlie. 😅 For real. Though I love how she recognized how wrong she was and is gonna work on bettering herself. She does a lot A LOT better than 95% of Shonen MCs. Angel is a lot more nuanced and layered than the majority of season 1 lays him out as. We see a bit here in this episode. He's a natural flirt but he crosses boundaries with Husk simply because Husk will say NO. It's a sexual interaction Angel can control because he has none elsewhere in his afterlife. He gets mad when Husk directly challenges the game he's playing, calling it fake, because the mask (Masquerade) is his only shield. If that's gone then Angel goes back to the drugs and booze again. Might still not like him, your choice, but hopefully this episode lets you see a bit of the real Angel. So you can at least not like the real guy under the facade.

Rosie is incredible - apparently she is actually based on Mary Poppins ... it makes me hope we see more of Alastor's friends and foe in season 2 - and I like the idea that the Angels have grown sloppy due to having believed themself to being invincible for so long. The finale is very good and I'm very excited for your reaction

Ace in the hole = asexual. Though Alastor himself is unaware of the concept of asexuality, hence his confusion at being called an “ace in the hole”. Alastor is such a master manipulator. This episode is such a textbook example of manipulation for one’s own gain. Also, I love at the end when Angel’s arms are around Husk and Pentious, Husk’s pupils get blown wide when he looks at Angel. (And Angel let go of Husk just so he could pull him in close again.)

That's not the point, maybe. I'm not saying Charlie is wrong about Angel. He has good qualities, especially his willingness to protect friends. But there is a big difference between Angel and Pentius. We maybe have smaller ancient rules(maybe not only because he is gay), which may seem unfair for modern morality perspective. Perhaps Angel, in principle, will not be able to get to heaven, it is maybe impossible for him because of his personality and all these heavy things from his past

Actually his race has not been confirmed. He is creole though, but that just means that he’s descended from the original European colonizers. This bit of misinformation has been floating around for a while now but we don’t know his actual racial background. Just for the record: creole=/=black. Creole is an ethnicity not a race :) (In all likelihood, he’s probably mixed, but it hasn’t been confirmed)
