CB650R 35KW 2022 - Too much throttle out of the corner on a wet road. And maybe went over the paint on the road, can't really tell. - Traction control kicked in (possibly saved me, not sure) - Factory Dunlop Tires (not the best wet performance) Don't mind the overexposure, I'm ordering ND filters soon.

0-100 on a 2022 cb650r A2 restricted. Result was 5.52 s Still practicing take off.

Bro,its still A2 restricted. You gotta wait until you got A license then you can put off thr Restrictor. Basically A2 restrictions is used to limit power to 35kW(47 Horsepower) for those who only have A2 license. For this bike it originally have 95 HP but it can be restricted to 47 HP,then once you have an A license you can go to honda and ask them to restrict the bike.
@Hyu249 how's the insurance on a restricted bike? I always wanted this bike but because I wanted to get a ninja 400 i checked insurance and couldnt get insured, I have to stick with lower than 300cc for now
You can go up to about 108 kmh in first gear, saves time if you wanna know youre 0-100
Not with 35kw, above 8000rpm there is no power
@@Bikezzred i got the 2018 version and between 6000 and 8000 rpm you really feel the power of the inline 4 zylinder even with 35kw

This is 0-100, not top speed. I'm also able to reach 180.

On mine cb650r 35kw i did 170km/h in third gear no problem and fucked Mercedes amg 225kw on sprinit 0-150km/h

Practice this intentionally in some parking lots and throttle through instead. ;)
wet roads, leans way to much and gases wayyy to much through the turn. Hell, even painted lines, dry and cold I'd say you gassed it to much through the turn. Slow it down, it's not a race.
Why are you speeding on wet road?
Some of these intersections tend to have a little oil dripped on them from cars that stand still or move slowly, not only water making them slippery :)

The tyre is dogshit get michelin pilot road 5 or 6 and use it as future reference of what kind of grip you should have on the wet. This grip is a joke

TC on my CB probably saved my life a month ago, overtaking a tractor muck on road in middle I didn’t see while accelerating, if I had it off I was absolutely high siding and coming down in front of the bloody tractor,

What's with Honda and factory Dunlop? Have they got a deal with them to supply tires on new bikes? My NC42 also has fairly ordinary dunlops. Not ideal in the wet but seems to grip on hotter days.

@@robboone3551Rijd prima, je hebt alleen na de 8000 toeren bijna geen kracht meer, dus dat is meestal wanneer ik schakel nu.

Hey, thanks man! Het scherm is vanaf het 2021 model fel genoeg, je kan in het scherm de helderheid hoger zetten, ik heb em op het hoogst te staan. Kan em altijd goed zien
Last winter my r1 did that in top gear on the motorway @ 75 when gave it a fistful, not sure if was diesel on the rd as well as the cold but saved it & it shit me up 2008 so no TC
did you released the clutch or was holding in the friction zone? how many kms on tyres? i ride on sportmax gpr300 with my kawasaki (no-abs, no traction, nothing), not so slippery in rainy conditions (7k kms and looks good, 1 year), they get hot really quick (even when it's +- 8*C, but maybe they all do, not an expert)
Clutch was released. But it seems these tires are quite bad in the wet.

Although TCS might be good it doesnt make you a better rider just makes you more reliant on tech. God help new riders getting on an 80s big bike!
You're absolutely right, the standard tyres are completely useless. I work at a Honda dealer and we have repaired 7 CB650R and CBR650R's that have either low-sided or high-sided on the factory tyres - just this season! Change them for something better, your confidence will improve massively.
The dunlops or the metzler roadtecs? I'm quite happy with the roadtecs. I can scrape pegs/knee when it's dry and they work even now at below 0 celsius. Never really needed any warming up either.
The Dunlop tyres are absolutely dog crap

@@orbarends I have Road 6's on my bike now and they seem like only a marginal improvement over the stock Metzler Roadtecs Those tires were great and lasted forever!

Wet roads man. You have to remain smooth on everything, nothing abrupt. You increased throttle abruptly mid corner on wet roads.
Cold tires, not gentle enough on the throttle, and a 4 cilinder motorcycle.

Something similar happened to me, except I had deactivated TCS before because I was trying to train without it a bit on an empty parking lot... but someone called me on the phone and i took off while speaking trought the intercom, and forgot to rearm the TCS. I went down in a similar intersection. Stock Dunlops SUCK both dry and wet. Got myself some Michelim Road 6, lightyears better.
How many kilometers on factory tyres? On CB500X rear tyre (Dunlop Mixtour) started to slip the same, pretty badly, even on dry road and constant throttle as soon as I lean more. At about 9K km. I got Michelin Adventure, and for now they hold better on wet than used factory tyres on dry :). It was fun though, rear dancing little bit :)
I dont know how much time that happened to me...i always stay focus so i dont fall while back tyre slips

My advice is -> Start on older bike, without ABS, Traction and etc. The idea is to crash one - two times and learn the hard way, because in really bad situations ABS and Traction could harm you.
People can go their entire life without crashing, stop that "you have to crash" nonsense

@@jessegm1 Hey man it's good to understand a persons opinion from thinking from their perspective. What he is saying is that most people that are very proficient with something have failed and fail a lot. And a really bad fail when you're in a motorcycle can and will result in a crash. Trying to figure out limits out in public roads is a whole other story. But you're correct there are people who know how to ride very well and haven't crashed ever.

I’m sure you did this on purpose, not to make this video but the sudden urge to blip the throttle and you listened to your inner thoughts. Count yourself lucky and learn from you mistake (not in the wet and certainly not in corners!) Ride safe 👌

@@Big1_ I didn’t mean it as in on purpose to almost have a crash but maybe he was playing with the throttle. It’s an instinct to want to know what the boundaries are… glad he is okay which is the most important thing
@@TEKKYTWO Do you know why in winter/rain ALL the bikes are stored in the Parking except a few scooters ?? Because the 90% of "riders" don´t know how to ride the bike in Rain and crashed one, two or more times in one moment of his life. That´s why.
