The battery life says it is 5 hours at full volume but it is not true it only lasts 3 hours 👎
I wanna mobile tt set up...im a retired weekly spinne4...and my 1200s stay mostly in a closet..snd i only spin for free block parties and stuff... Is it worthwhile to get a one?... or would you spend the extra ends to get performer?? Guitar center isn't what it used to be for testing this stuff
We've been using these for years! Absolute rock solid sturdy build, easy to set up and breakdown.
Get the rane performer lol
Whaddup Doe?! Nice Detroit hat 🧢
I definitely rock my RANE ONE for Weddings and Other events! Love it despite the RANE PERFORMER new release today. I will wait on the mk2 version of the RANE ONE because I love 2 Channels in my Controller
Why not 🤷🏾♂️. Rane One is the shit 👍🏾✊🏾
Yea it looks good for pictures and you look like money!
💪💪💪🏆
I have exactly the same setup! 8k speakers
I was on the fence about this booth, I really like it! Right now I have a command center with the rack portion built out and couldn’t imagine djing without that being pre wired etc. I want to find a custom case for it so I never have to do undo it or set it up.
Great idea!
Def 1 music folder… no folders inside of folders.
I like it, but I don’t like the Hollaback drums behind it. I think if it was just the a cappella, it would sound better.
been looking for a simple straight to the point explanation. thank you.
Got you, fam!
dope cut! and I just got this controller and new to the game. This and a few other videos ive watched confirms ive made a good choice as a starter
I’m getting it. The look is phenomenal, the feel is nice and comfortable. I think better is dependent on user
Good tips - I used to organize my crates in external folders just like you showed in this video. However, I found it easier to put all my music in one folder and build my crates and sub-crates within Serato. Thanks for the tips!
How does that bass perform when there’s 200 people in front of it? I know those run dual 10”subs each… just curious if it lacks on a packed floor. That’s the problem I ran into with my Bose L1 with B2sub. Also 3k each
Sounds incredible!
You're a great teacher. Thanks!
I have the Everse 8 but run it to my laptop and use Serato Play. I don’t trust Bluetooth and rather have control on the laptop for transitioning. I see a lot of DJ’s using iPads & Bluetooth and I’m shocked cause that shit ain’t failsafe.
That’s a good idea. 🫡
I run my left out to my Right Speaker and my Right Out to left speaker. Reason for this is from the guest view it’s opposite of our view.
Love this and thanks for bringing great content!! As an up and coming multi-op, I am finding mics to be extremely important; you feel the BLX are a good start vs. Sennheiser, REV3 or Audio Technica? Just curious since everyone has an interesting opinion, but you want some solid and good value, but again, have a few to invest in for sure!
That’s interesting
You can but you're missing proper stereo panning so older records like Beatles etc will have unusual sound at times.
Why don’t you just build the mics and mixer into the podium? Since this is so simple I don’t even see the need for the rack and facade
The facade folds flat. That’s the point. We can transport easier.
@@ozarkmixdj still don’t see the need for a rack for just two wireless mics. That could easily be built into the podium
@@andrewburlingame7284 Our bad, yes, you could place in ProX. We have several setup styles. We don’t want permanent fixtures in the podiums other than power. This allows us to interchange the look & equipment. But, if it’s just you, by all means, you could integrate it for sure.
We actually tried that exact idea. The mics fit in the podium fine but the mixer was the issue. It basically had to be vertical against the back wall of the podium stand and it wasn’t very accessible for volume adjustments. That’s why we use it in the rack for now.
You guys should get connected with @DJWooPig down in Cabot and have him on the Podcast. I think he would be good vibe with yall.
Crown Entertainment is his company name.
Yo! Great idea!
This is awesome content. I like watching these types of videos. Awesome ideas! Russ🤜🤛
Thank you so much!
No need for gaff with the wave 8 and Everse 12’s and alto stealths now🤷🏾♂️😁
great idea.........
Hello everyone, I want to share my impressions. Recently, I also conducted a large-scale testing of the Everse 8 speaker, but at a street concert in the city of Kazan. Golden Retro Hits (live vocals) th-cam.com/video/ZH0lRGB3YUk/w-d-xo.html Shooting from different angles and distances. The timecodes of the main episodes are indicated in the pinned comment to the video. I want to note that this Everse 8 is a very good thing, it sounds far ahead and can be clearly heard from all sides. It's just great for its size and weight!
Nice. pro tip if only running a pair of column arrays, you can just run 1 cable /xlr from controller to mixer and then one out to the a speaker and from speaker you can daisy chain from speaker to speaker. Now if you add a independent sub thats where i would runn both cables the way you have it and then pan the channels but again the LD 44 would be daisy chain. This will give u max control for sound and eq.
Level up! We do this sometimes as well, great tip.
Rad but we heard nada about the transportation side. Or not enough I guess
We’re a DJ podcast.
totally agree. A gravity stand + Wash Fx2 is a really good setup for most events.
Nice bro! Can you tell me which skb case model this is. I have the Yamaha MG12XU id like to put this in.
SKB 1SKB-R102 10U
@@ozarkmixdj ty!!!
Link to facade to hide mixer case please
Jim, look up Dragon Frontboards!
love all your videos , very informative. Thank you!
Thanks so much for the support!
Hey I know that guy! I appreciate you guys having me, & I hope we get to do it again soon!
Loved it! The stories were 💯
You just use one mic for wedding ceremonies? ( Lapel )
We go with 2 if needed! Depends on situation.
So a tip to go off of that is to do as Ozark said come out of you controller into separate channels on the mixer, but. when you come out of the external Main mixer one of the outs should go to your subs and the other out should got to your tops. and then sub should be daisy chain as well tops. so tops to tops and sub with sub. This is how the pan he did will trully work. So Now you have independant control of your subs/low and you tops separately. If you are usiing colum array speakers with out another sub..Than you dont have to do all of this just one cable from controller to mixer and one main out than dasiy chain. Happy Gigging
Rev! What's good homie!
solid tips
on the bag that the dj station came in they could put a zip pouch on the outside of the bag to hold the laptop stand.
I never received one! However, we just ordered 3 more that came in. All 3 had these. Gonna make another video!
The XLR inputs on the Mackie mixer are mic input and your sending a line signal from the Rand One. Thats a no no! You want to use the 6.5mm jack "Line" inputs for the signal coming from the Rane One. Mic inputs have pre amps in them sending a line signal creates a hot signal not good my friend.
Are you running your software output mono or stereo ?
Always stereo
Oh no!!!!!! I was a fan until you held the microphone... lmao!!! Noooo!! The other 99% of the video is spot on!! One other thing some Sound Engineers may disagree with is running XLR (Line) into an XLR (mic) the way you ran your controller to your mixer, but I say as long as it doesn't sound distorted, then you're good... The "ideal" way should be XLR From the Controller into 1/4" on the Mixer (Mackie in this example) but same two channels and you are absolutely correct about the panning!!
No way would we adapt the XLR down to 1/4 when we can go direct. One less option to fail. As for the mic placement, it’s not being covered up. We’re chilling in the studio, not at an event.
@@ozarkmixdj It's equally as bad, muscle memory and you're showing people, by example, how to hold the mic. I'm not sure how 1/4 inch would fail... what I'm referring to is that XLR on your mixer is designed for a Mic input, which is lower in gain. Mackie would not put 1/4 plugs if they were designed to "fail" As a matter of fact , most external mixers make it a point to include 1/4 inch plugs... not to fail, but to make sure there are enough Line inputs.
@@DJFrancisco Thanks for the input. Much love.
I second the XLR to 1/4”
Good one boss! I’ve barely used external mixers in my time, but I can see the value of having an external to be able to control some of those features and to get better sound.
External mixer = CONTROL!
Great video! What's your thoughts on Mackie Mixers? I have considered getting one because i would like to have an output for subs. The ability to have my subs & 12s on different output sources would be great to me.
We’re all in. They’ve served us well. Mackie has been in the game for a minute and we love the ability to mute in the board itself. This little mixer is perfect for the events we run.
Which external mixer is that? I need one
Mackie! We love them.
Mackie ProFX10v3
So for your left & right pan, is your channel that’s all the way left, the left XLR running to the left speaker? Or does it matter?
It doesn’t matter honestly. As long as one channel is full left and the other is full right it’ll give you true stereo separation.
Dude it’s like y’all read my mind. I was just thinking about this like 3 hours ago!
Mind readers.
Always looking out. 💪🏆
