I guess I was lucky. The year was 2018. I was 3 years away from Army Retirement. I met a 30 year old Latina on Tinder. She says that she is from NY, has no kids, never been married, no STDs. So I reel her in and move her into my house. I married her in February 2020 - just before COVID. So, when C19 hit, I got 3 months off work. And during those 3 months, I found out that not only was my wife cheating on me, but that she was legally married to her ex’s Uncle the entire time that she was with me. She was just too “embarrassed” to tell me the truth. So, naturally, I tell her that we are getting an annulment. So, what does she do? She buys a fake pregnancy test and tells the world that I’m divorcing her because she is pregnant, and then she hits me and calls the police 20 minutes later. She was arrested for Domestic Violence, and I found out that the pregnancy test was fake. After that, I sold my house, retired from the Army, divorced this crazy woman, and I’m preparing for a retirement VISA for the Philippines at age 50. What saved me from losing alot of money in divorce? My marriage was for only 1 year, we had No kids together, and I set up smart separation paperwork that stated that we owed each other nothing, and that we would leave with what we came in the marriage with. Long story short - Never get married!!!
