MAKING a wall cabinet with glass door in a part-time workshop #woodworking #handtools #furniture
How I made this pretty wall cabinet with drawer and glazed door complete with through tenons, dovetails and hidden hinges. I started with a plan and for reasons, gave up on the plan about half way through when i started winging it (official term)
Working in my small 'pop-up' conservatory come workshop this film shows step by step how I took the design to completion and all the major steps along the way. There are a few things missing because there were so many elements to the design and impossible to get everything into a (reasonably) short video
#woodworkingprojects #furniture #smallworkshop #wood
This video is intended for entertainment purposes only and should not be taken too seriously or used in anyway as instructional - there are plenty of woodworkers out there who can do that much better than I can. The temporary nature of the workshop also means that some of my practices could be seen as dubious safety wise but I know what they are and I am fully aware of the risks!!!

Making coat racks in a Day...small workshop woodworking
มุมมอง 1533 หลายเดือนก่อน
Big woodwork projects take a lot of planning so with some free time I decided to see what I could build from scratch in a day. I had some lovely ash and some offcuts from other projects. Sometimes it's worth doing something simple like this to reconnect with the wood and tools. My woodwork workshop is also my conservatory and gets set up and packed up every day so some of the equipment is a bit...

It's lovely! The design changes, aka happy accidents, just prove that it's a one of a kind piece. You say "winging it," I say "design-build." [Edit] I like the ash drawer bottoms.

Thank you so much. I will now think of any winging I do as ad hoc design-build features.
