What Can I Say, It Was to Cheap to Pass Up
Is that an original radiator that your using ?
Thanks for posting this. I just bought a 4 row 5100 with a 5 row splitter. I'm going to Ohio to pick it up this week, so this video was very helpful.
👍
When you were talking about the motor in that white, you said continental, you meant Hercules I think, unless they are the same thing and just didn’t know that. But our 77 135 has the 478 Hercules. Great motor, I will say tho I love the Perkins in our 2-105 that was my grandpas baby, I personally own a 1650, with the unkillable Waukesha and a wd-45 with a power steering conversion kit.
That Oliver sounded really good. Thanks for taking us along.
That's a good video man
Outstanding.....over the top....and what a shame it is not in every farmers shed
No sound or explanation of what this was about.
Oliver do I acted the front wheel assist market. They knew higher horsepower tractors need maximum traction to get that hp to the ground. Tires weren’t near what they are today either. Very progressive thinking.
I have a 55 R110 as well looking at doing the same swap. Anything you suggest? Always wanted to make it a diesel. Love your videos really helpful!
It would of been cool to of seen the this kinda stuff and more coming out of the Charles city plant if Oliver had survived
Thank you for showing this film. I was watching it, and then I got a look at the 1850 driver. It was my dad, Robert W. Bird. I've never seen this film before. Where did you find the film? Shows that even a lawyer could drive one. Although he did go over the parking barrier!
Anything to watch out for on the swap? I'm doing one right now to the same truck. Was pretty happy to find this video
So cool Tell us more....tranny upgrade? Brakes? Very smooth no grinding Was that a 4bt..?
A 252 Oliver disc ?
Allis Chalmers
Does anyone know where these machines went?
Nice video man can you please do more like this one only make them longer and Florida because I love the sound of the engine I’d love to see that thanks man
Id love to but the truck isn't in one piece at the moment
I had that front end sliding around problem with my Fordson (Ford) Major. I put 250lbs of weight on the front and it made a huge difference. Iron weights are super expensive in my area so I ordered weights new from Heavy Hitch in southeastern Minnesota. The new weights were cheaper than used. Fastenal shipping was only $50 for the whole pallet. Great video!
If you tune up that 366 just right you should get 15-16mpg easy.
Sadly not with 300 bushels on. Im lucky to get 10mpg.
How hard was it to do the conversion. Nice truck!
Pretty tough. Lots of modifications were needed.
They should hung those White execs for killing off the best farm tractor company in history
wow
Hey I’m looking at buying one and the guy said you can make it from 36 to 30 inch rows do u know if it’s possible ?
Its possible but its a real pain in the rear. Unless its cheap Id look for one you want.
I had a 2-155 about the same year in age. The engine developed multiple leaks. It did have lots of power though. Traded it in.
Gotta do a breakdown on this. We need details!
Might be a while before I can do one . Its torn down for revamping.
Hi how hard is it to get parts for these White tractors and where... what a cool classic id like to see more inside the car controls etc .thanks
Its still fairly easy to get parts for them. Matter of fact the engines are very easy to come by, as they are the same as a military truck. Maibach tractors in Creston, OH still can get many parts. I have another video were you can see the inside of the cab and such. Thanks for watching!
5:52 if that front tire gets any closer to the furrow wall It will become a disc plow 😁
Every time that happens I think the same thing. lol
The white should be a Hercules/white 478ci turbo I think they are used in military duce half trucks Zack has some TH-cam videos he can tell you exactly cause they still have their tractors n use them.
Yep its the 478. Only big difference between the deuce engines and the tractors were that the deuce engines had a different shaped piston bowl and 2 more rings.
Be nice if you would've showed the outside of the truck body
I have other videos of the truck... there is an entire playlist of videos.
Those F2’s were great little smaller farm combines.... nearly bulletproof
Nice line of equipment you are running some of the same stuff I run or had at one time
Good info! Pretty nice of you to go through all that! Thanks for the video!
Anything to help a fellow out.
truly enjoyed this!
The story of the white is the same as something that sold at an action I went to So what I see your farm as it's a action sale farm
i have a r130 ive been wanting to do a cummins swap so bad
Word of advice... put the body on a ford chassis and that will save you tons of money
I have a r225, pretty much the same and having a hell of a hard time finding parts for the rd501 Thought about doing the 4 or 6bt Cummins, just not a ton of info on the swap, how were you able to keep your air compressor and did you have to do anything to get it to mate with the trans Nice truck
This is a 1/2 ton pickup. So i dont have a air compressor. A r225 is a semi if i remember correctly. But you could get a 6bt from a ford f800 that has a compressor already and just hookup your lines to the original. As for transmission I swapped in a ford zf5 transmission so i had gearing for daily driving, also swapped out the rear end for a newer one. Also not to scare you away from swapping but i have around 15k into the swap to do it right.
@@strongfarms8248 much appreciated, I understand that doing the swaps is real expensive. I hate to let these trucks rot away and I'm trying to keep it original as possible but man it's almost impossible to find stuff for these trucks especially the rd501 engine.
Nice, full demonstration. It sounds like you're keeping it at about half throttle, assuming you were aiming for better fuel efficiency. I once had a family who owned an Alis Chalmers 190XT. That was my favorite of all, but I never got the opportunity to run it much.
Yeah I usually run at about 1600-1700 rpm. No need for more because of the small disc. Thanks for watching
@@strongfarms8248 Reason I know about the reduced throttle, is that one of our neighbors had an Oliver just like yours, and he always went by in road gear, moving his implements from field to field. I liked how that Oliver sounded the best, and it's what I wanted our family to have. But, my relationship with the 190XT was more intimate, because I actually got to spend time on it. Maybe I should buy one like yours, and use it for shows and stock pulls, because I don't have a farm or land. At least then, I would actually have a use for it. Thank you so much for sharing!
Nice to see the old H still getting to work in the field. Great video.
Thanks
Disculpa, cuántas revoluciones le dan al rotor para esa cosecha de soya?
400 rpm if I remember correctly
@@strongfarms8248 gracias
Thats such a nice setup #WorldsOkayestFarmer
Its for sale. Lol well the planter is, the Deere is sold already.
Strong Farms why ? You guys done or upgrading wish I could afford it
@@WorldsOkayestFarmer its my neighbors. He retired last year so time for everything to go.
Those motors do not carry high oil pressure because they have piston cooler on them mine carried 25 lbs and we ran it at 210 hp for 15 years then I sold it to my cousin and that is a Hercules motor 478 cu inch
That what I found when I talked to others.
A grain truck like this would go great with my John Deere 45EB combine. Check out my Combine Video.
Hey "DOGBONES" It's not what he's plowing in, it's what he's plowing with...
That is so cool. I really like international and I’ve wanted one of the trucks. This sounds awesome.
It is a fun truck! You sound hear it now with the full 4 inch exhaust and the new turbo.
Nice. I always liked the sound of the Hercules under load. Farm near me had a 2-135 MFWD with rice and canes all the way around. Was a good tractor and a nice sounding engine. Brings back memories seeing this.
It does sound like a monster roaring through the field! Thanks for watching.
Sell some of the junk
Why? I use that "junk" to farm. It works just fine for me.
No I mean the stuff you don’t use
@@kylerolston4734 I use everything. Some things I am going to get rid.
your oliver has a neat story i farm with my dad in loudonville
Cool! The grain truck came from loudonville too.
