Hi I'm Winter!
My page is all about family, adoption, foster care, seeing our God given dreams become a reality and so much more!
I'm a wife to an incredible man and mother of 4 amazing kiddos all adopted from the foster care system. I live in South Dakota! I have spent time over seas sharing Jesus' love in orphanages. From this I have a love and passion for kids that need a family! My Husband and I are also the Youth leaders at our local church and serve in lots of different leadership roles there! I am the Assistant Manager at a retail drug store in my community. I have worked in the business arena for over 10 years. I studied at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in 2009-2010.

Here's the question: would you do it if you didn't get paid? if nothing was paid for with the child?
Counseling and therapy can help but trauma can only be healed by God. I personally went through many traumatic experiences and therapy helped a litle but only God was able to heal me in a way that extends beyond habits. Spiritually, emotionally and mentally... God, the higher power who created the universe can ACTUALLY heal you.
How did you pass the home study with the peeling paint on the door behind you. The flakes may contain lead from older layers of paint on the door.
Great video! Thanks
Got mine for 2100 all new shocks rides like a boat I love it CLEAN TITLE
I have a question. The standard numerated allowable expenses for tax credit did not include the expenses for supporting the child (overseas) while the adoption drag on. Nor did the exclusion expenses included financial support. The child was an orphan. I adopted 4 orphans and send them $500 each ($2000 total/per month) month for their food, clothing, education, medical, etc. According to an AI, although this was not specifically listed, it can still qualify as an expense. The adoption was final and they are now here in the US. What do you think?
Don't even think about fostering a child unless you are super rich. The "authorities" measure your competency solely with dollar signs. You could be the sweetest and most loving family on the planet, but if you are without a fat bank account the foster authorities will assume that you are the scum of the earth. But on the other hand you could be a child pornographer and pedophile with lots of cash and the state will automatically assume that you are a moral person who deserves to have a house full of kids.

Can I take my foster children on vacation if I become one?
Love this Bless you guys and ignore the ignorant statements
Thank you for sharing your story and your honesty in the grieving process. It can be such a rollercoaster. I admire your honesty so much. I know this was years ago but sending love to you and your family.
Do you have to make so much money to adopt?
I am fostering my nieces in the State of South Dakota and they are not helping me because I am a relative. The kids are getting Medicaid. But as far me getting paid. Nope
If foster kids are needy, they should not be treated like animals. That being the case, protective services for children and adults should be outlawed.
I have a one story house. Only one step into the house. Do I need a railing??
Native American children should be with there tribe both of you are disgusting 🤮
Why fo all videos on foster made by oeople who cant stay on point? Omg,
Very informative, thanks!
Even people who haven't been adopted have trauma. Unfortunately, it's a part of life. 🤷♀️
Are those on welfare able to foster to adopt?
Wonderful thank you 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👍
I am adopting a special needs child and get a stipend from the state I didn't have a lot of cost in the process..I can still claim the full amount of the tax credit.
Found this in the irs web page www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i8839.pdf Check page 4 bottom page, seems like not even tax expert had read this part Children from foster care after the adoption are considered special needs so the adoption tax credit can be claimed in full, according to this page, even if you didn’t have any expenses. Also found a webinar in the website link she added on top, it explains everything for foster adoptions.
So am I did you get the full amount ?
@lumbo999 yes I was able to claim the full tax amount and it carry over for 5 years because he's special needs. It's a non-refundable tax credit so you can only claim what you owe in taxes for that year ...
@lumbo999 also Believe it or not TurboTax is actually set up to handle this online.
Reposting this part but TurboTax is actually set up to handle this online. You won't be able to use the free edition but it's still cheaper then going to a real accountant . I'll add obviously if you have more complicated taxes like capital gains or you have enough tax deductions to itemize I'd probably actually get a tax account and not because it's complicated but because they hired 80,000 more IRS employees and they didn't do that to go after the rich....
Hello, part-time bus driver, collect social security disability income, living low income housing apartment, is it possible for me to get in, to work with kids?
Some places let 18 year olds foster kids
Wow that's amazing, adoption in manitoba cost like starting at $10 000. Thank you for the video was very helpful
Do you still have it?
Thanks for the video. Might want to reduced or remove the background music.
I have owned a 2009 Flex since 2015. It was wonderful SUV to transport my Dad Or Mother-in-law in. Open tailgate put wheelchair or walker in it. And still driving it yet. 22 hiway and sometimes longer trips 24mpg. Ours is cinnamon with cream top. And if didn't happen to notice. Tailgate raises higher. Than GMC Acadia Buick Enclave Chevy Traverse.
Native American children that have no connection to their communities tend to have long term mental health effects. Yes, the child is in a safe enviroment, but who is to say a Native American family can provide the same quality of life. Minus the long term mental health effects. Two or three years is minimual compared to 16 or 15 years in a person's childhood.
This is sad. Your hair was so beautiful!
cool channel thank you so much for all the information!
Hi 💔
Can we choose the age range of the child to foster for a short term?
Help on how to make incidents report thanks
Yay! I'm so glad you finally get an "easy" path to getting another child! Couldn't think of a better family for this little one to join.
And hey, as another mama who welcomed newborns after infertility/recurrent losses, do not be surprised if it feels surreal when you have your newborn in your arms. Every time I've left the hospital with a baby it's been like, "Wait, this is really mine?! For real? Nobody can take them away?" It can take time to bond when it doesn't feel real yet.
So great to see a video from you 😄🎉Rejoicing with you in your surprise miracle! 🥰🎉🎉🎉 Congratulations! When is he due?😊
Thank you! 😊 baby is due the middle of October sometime!
what state did you get your foster parent certificate ?
South Dakota
hi I have a few questions for you as a future foster parent, I am very much interested not sure where this will go?
Sure, I will try to answer! 😊
Winter! I’m so so so happy for you! It is clearly an act of God and He will surely see you through the pregnancy! I am amazed how God can do a miracle like this because I’m right there with you with endometriosis. I’ve been struggling with endo and infertility for many years and it is a very lonely place to be. Congratulations and prayers to you!
Thank you so much! 😊
Praying for your body to be healthy!
Congratulations!
Thank you! 😊
Congratulations I’m absolutely delighted for you all 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much!
So happy for you guys :) (the french guy who help you a while ago, in a train station near Cdg airport)
I'm so thankful for you Nicolas! I remember that moment of terror in the train station like it was yesterday! Im so glad you weren't a crazy killer. That would be a fun story time video to do sometime! lol
I’m so excited for you! Congratulations on the new baby ❤️🎉 what a miracle! so sorry the wait is still ongoing with China. Send breakthrough Lord!
I also want the add that I’m thrilled you are going to be sharing more Fostercare/adoption content. Your videos were awesome for me when we were in the research stage and we have now been fostering over a year and love it ❤️
This is super encouraging! Thank you for fostering! I'm so glad its going so well for you guys!
@@winterhendrickson2242 thank you! It’s been very hard as well but what a growing experience for the whole family. Fostering definitely makes you face your triggers, but I’m grateful for that. Not only are the kids improving, but we are too 🥰
🤍🙏🏼 thank you for sharing precious blessings
I’m so happy for you Winter, you’ve helped me understand how hard infertility and adoption is. I’m hoping to have more child at 37/38/39, both my grandmother has children at 39. Some adoptive mothers don’t want to understand the biological mothers pregnancy, I’m so grateful that being pregnant has helped your understanding, it’s so meant to be.
I love this comment! Praying for all your future children to come into your home at the perfect time! Also, your 30's are a perfect time to become a parent again!
AHHH! Chad and Winter!! The Gallaway's are so happy for you both! What a sweet blessing. We couldn't be happier for you both. Prayers for a healthy pregnancy and delivery. -Mistie
Thank you so much for praying for us Mistie!
Congratulations to you and your family Winter! I'm so happy for you all and will certainly be praying for you all. 🙏💜☮️🥰
Thank you Angela! 😊😊😊😊 we are so excited and thankful for this unexpected addition to our family! 🥰
Keep sharing your story Winter! All of it is so inspiring. My husband and I have faced secondary infertility and have gone through 3 losses along the way. It's really so encouraging to hear about your sweet miracle after 11 years and about all your fostering and adoption experiences. We hope to also foster or adopt or both and I'm still hoping for a miracle as well. I am so excited and encouraged anytime I hear a story like yours. Gives me hope for another day. God is so good! Praying for a miracle for your China adoption. I can't imagine how hard it has been to wait this long and to still continue to wait with no end in sight! Praying God brings your entire family safely under one roof!🙏💜
Wow, thank you so much for this comment. I will be praying for your miracle to come! It has been so hard to wait but for some reason right now I have so much peace about what God is doing in this season. He’s in control. I mean he can make the oceans in one day, I feel like he can take care of our family. 🤣🤣 I do forget often! Thank you for for the reminder!
@@winterhendrickson2242 I love that thought...so true and I think we all forget that. Thanks for the reminder😊💜
Never clicked on a video so fast! Such amazing news! Congratulations!
Thank you so much! It’s so exciting!
Congrats!
