Lol. So Americans will eat a stick of deep fried butter. But eating kangaroo is weird
My dog eats kangaroo so your friend will build lean muscle and have a nice shiny coat. I was born in Bondi and it just makes me sad now. Nothing like it was.
haha i’ll let her know! and what did it used to be like?
@@elliemajelly My whole family lived there and it was a lot more family oriented. Mainly working class but if people had money they didn't show it off. Oh and the surf was better until they built the Swiss grand. Sorry but its just so fake now.
they are not simmler
Spendin time in Sydney? I kinda feel sorry for you😂
Your bag is soooo cutee! Love how you got that handsanitizer there haha
thank you so much!!! i’m seriously obsessed it comes with me everywhere hahha and yes! always gotta be ready for germs 🦠
Melbourne is waaaaaaaay better! Only stupid people and new south welshman think otherwise!🖕🤣🖕
Australia has a knack for sacrificial anodes for foreigners. We export Fosters, we spruik Surfers Paradise (not great for surfing) in QLD, Bondi in Sydney etc. Don't know the Melbourne equivalent. Most tourist traps in Australia are places Australians would not go if not for living or working there. Kangaroo is a very lean meat (little fat), similar to venison and is seared on high heat and eaten fairly rare.
hahaha honestly agreed, the only aussie accent i heard at bondi were the lifeguards and they must be SO over the tourists
God save us, not more lesbos...
Bondi is arguably the worst beach in Sydney despite it' being well known. It is mainly a tourist beach which most aussies would never go to
after visiting it i totally get you, the surf was pretty hectic and right next to the rocks as well
It’s painful the way we get “thangs” online and saying Bondi is rubbish is definitely a thang at the moment. It’s not. It’s a nice beach, and it’s especially a treasure in the midst of a big city. Next time try to look at it with fresh unjaded eyes.
Unless you go there to surf, Bondi would have to be one of the worst beaches in Australia. The Icebergs Club is members only, the main beach is borderline unswimmable because of rips and dumping waves, always way overcrowded and the nearby cafes etc charge 50% more than they should.
faaacts i so agree, was cool to see for the first time but i think id only go there again if i was showing a friend who was visiting
SUPER-SILLY, is Sydney better than Melbourne? Sydney is different to Melbourne. Melbourne is different to Sydney. Could we please stop this infernal comparison? from Syd. AU
what do you enjoy about Australia and what do you enjoy about America
🇦🇺
Why the fuck are you wearing tennis outfits ?
Sipping on your fucking drinks
You’re both classless arrogant Americans.
Appropriate talking about Speedo at Bondi because it’s where Speedo originated. Kangaroo is an extremely lean meat and because of this it’s highly recommended to cook and served closer to rare than medium. Dare say sending it back might have led to it being overcooked and tough :(
no way speedo originated there!!! that’s SO cool! also didn’t get to take a video of the meat after but it was perfectly cooked (to fran’s personal opinion of cooked meat) and she enjoyed it a lot more after, to each their own!
I don't understand how the place itself can be "such a vibe". A place can't be a feeling.
how do you feel at the dentist vs an airport? hospital vs school? i’d disagree
Is Sydney better then Melbourne. Not even a question. 😂 Enjoy our beautiful harbour city.
You Ladies are absolutely Fabulous!.
haha too sweet stuart!!
Rule number 1, never send food back to the kitchen, you might get more than you bargained for.
🤣🤣
Kangaroo is done rare. If you can't handle that, don't buy it.
fair enough
I’d say Bondi rescue is the reason why the beach is so popular. It’s also hugely overrated. There are much better beaches around.
yeah i so get that, what are the other better beaches?
Kangaroo is always served rare, it gets very tough if you cook it any more
when i cook it at home i cook the burgers and honestly never have issues!
Did you tell your friend to Slip, Slop Slap???😁
YES i even was like omg reapply but she didn’t understand how bad it actually was hahaha but we were also in the sun for like 12 hours i think??
You haven't been to Sydney till you've checkout the Sutherland Shire/National Park and Cronulla - walk The Esplanade to Salmon Haul Bay (take your swimmers)!!! Whenever you get sunburnt, wipe Methylated Spirits over the skin over and over with a cotton wool swab. It will take the sting away and cool the area incredibly well.
The alcohol also gives the added benefit of killing any microbiotic activity on the skin around blisters and the like as a result of the sunburn.
thank you for the tips!!
@@elliemajellyplease don’t follow that advice. It would cool the skin initially, feel nice, but dries the skin & makes the burn worse. Cool compresses, &/or an aloe vera soothing gel, drink extra water & apply moisturiser after 24 hours.
Sprite is technically a white or clear lemonade. A small bugbear, but I dislike how American's refer to Sprite as if its it's own thing when it isn't. What do you call 7up? It's essentially the same as Sprite! Aussies confuse things by just saying "lemonade" when referring to the white or clear version, and then by calling regular lemonade "lemon squash", so we aren't totally blameless. Nevertheless, Sprite is not "Sprite", it's a brand of a particular type of lemonade. Whinge over .😆
You guys look like sisters?
maybe because of our similar clothes but we’re actually from such different backgrounds!
Kangaroo is a lean “gamey” meat and very easy to overcook. If done any more than about medium-rare it can turn tough and unpalatable, unlike beef which can be cooked numerous ways and still be tasty. Many would argue it was cooked just fine, for kangaroo.
Comparing Sydney to Melbourne is like comparing snow to ice. Similar in their makeup but completely different in structure. Some prefer snow for skiing and some prefer ice for skating but both were formed under similar conditions.
the only good thing to come out of Sydney is the road to Melbourne.
Well done for a 1990s quote. We've all moved on. Time you did too.@bwana-ma-coo-bah425
@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 And the freeway south to Wollongong. Or any road leading out of Sydney as long as it's not leading to Melbourne.
@ 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
Slip, slop, slap ladies
Do the roo in a mango style salad, Sear the roo, don’t overcook, And some freshly squeezed Tahitian limes will provide a nice touch
You still have that strong Aussie twang on your tongue girl. Also Always loose the shoes when on the beach.
Perfectly cooked
There is no difference, we are both mad as hatters. It’s just how it manifests, in Australia it’s beer in America it’s Trump, in the end we end totally F’ed up.
Bondi is actually pretty lame. Try Maroubra. Now there is an iconic Aussie beach.
oooh wait i’ll try that next time i’m in sydney
@elliemajelly other Sydney beach ideas: Maroubra, Palm, Manly, Cronulla ... these I think are better than Bondi, but that's my opinion.
Bondi beach looks like a dream!
right!!!
Happy you liked Sydney - Don't begin with those city wars 😅 Sydney & Melbourne both have their good points & bad points. I have enjoyed all my trips to Melbourne, but I wouldn't leave Sydney
hahaha i surely shouldn’t have asked on which one is the favourite 🤣
Another great video Ellie.. Loved Sydney, in the time I lived there. I lived there for 17 years between 1985 and 2002. I lived on the north shore/ northern beaches. During that time, I lived in Manly for 7 for those years. The rents are insane today, as they are more than double what I was paying back then. After living in Brisbane for a further 7 years, I was so glad I elected to return home to Perth in 2009. East and West are totally different worlds in Australia. I've never been to America to compare Perth to those cities. That would be interesting.
you lived in manly for 7 years!!! that’s iconic wow. thank you for always watching and supporting ❤️
@ Always happy to support your videos.. Such a great place Manly. The smell of fresh bread coming from the bakeries early in the morning, and the beautiful walk to Shelly beach. The fairy to the city when working in town. Scuba diving in the sponge gardens off north head. To name a few adventures there. Memorable times. You don’t have that at Bondi. The best part of Sydney is the north shore.
Sydney and Melbourne are both outstanding cities and I wish people would stop trying to put a wedge between the two 😮😮
I agree. just enjoy both of them.
Melbourne is WAAAAAAAAAYYYY better! Only stupid people and new south welshman think otherwise! Signed a Tasmanian!🖕🤣🖕
I think what people are cringing at is the fact that these tourists are adults (who know how to be mature hence putting the yt channel together and discussing more career age topics) in their 20s even mid 20s, yet.. acting and dressing up like the local teenages here, whose brains aren't developed yet, that we see on a daily basis hanging around beach giggling and getting smoothies. Regarding the speedos. Budgy is just another brand like speedo, but there are other brands too not just those two. Have you ever watched professional sport? Funny that, I think you know a lot about watching sport 😂 So what should all the D1 swimmers wear in the US that are training all the time besides speedos or that type of male swimwear? Did you know swimming is basically our national sport? (it's all the media talks about when it's Olympics time). How do you know those guys haven't just been at the pool lapping and then gone straight to the ocean. Do you know what surf lifesaving is? It's an Australian invented sport where you do swimming, ski, board, beach sprinting, and a whole range of different legs. They also train at pools more then in the surf. These's a lot of backwards and forwards between pools and beach. Why would you bother putting boardies on if you're usually training and only sometimes just siting there or playing in the water. You do get used to wearing them. There's still way more coverage compared to women's swimwear bottoms or some really 'bits out' gymwear that some wear. Also heaps of lifesavers have done swimming growing up and still do it, or teach swimming (maybe think about that next time you see one not just about the saving part). For mis-diagnosing our culture you have to do 10 X 100m butterfly in the pool tomorrow (after a night out) to make up for it. And do it again (X2) for a second round just because you're dating a pro athlete😂
Too long, couldn’t be fucked reading
Budgie is not just another brand like Speedo 😂😂😂 and come on they’re young let them have fun. You’re just jealous 😂 sounds like you’re bloody miserable and need a holiday or at least a cup of tea.
This version was better. It has ending this one. 😂😜
hahaha fixed it!!
This is a QLD/NSW thing. You're not a Melbournite, you're a Mexican! Sorry, but that's how it is. Still better than being called a cockroach (NSW), but I'd rather be a banana bender. QUEENSLANDER!

Yeah so Wollongong has some good places for an Insta story, Mount Keira Lookout, Seacliff Bridge and Wollongong Harbour. It’s about an hour south of Sydney. Been to Melbourne once a few years ago and would definitely like to go back sometime.
