    Mike Love is the biggest jag off on the planet! He was a traitor to Brian. Let’s all be honest here, The Beach Boys were over with Smile. Just crap after that. The listening public moved on. They had nothing to offer.

    • @gerrydooley951
      @gerrydooley951 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      not really true but yes, the public had moved on , Brian blew it by not releasing Smile. After 1967 Brian could still write and arrange catchy music but the unending pressure to not only produce hits but break new creative ground crippled him. The other guys had to pick up the slack and while some of their stuff was listenable it was not even in the same universe as what Brian was doing. They became a very good live band and soldiered on because they were a family and had bills to pay.

      Regarding the situation between Brian and Mike: when Mike won his lawsuit for writing credits he felt that put him nearly on the same level creatively with Brian, that and Brian's non-involvement with Kokomo have caused Mike to become delusional. I guess Mike's has forgotten everything Brian has done in the studio between 1962 and 1967.

    I’m not sure but It seems a battle of egos in this group but isn’t common knowledge that without Brian Wilson none of these people would be giving interviews. The Beatles, I think Abbey Road had the most Beach Boys harmony influences ironically in ‘69. No doubt Good Vibrations is an all time iconic song of all time. The Beatles played all their instruments and maybe that’s the difference…session musicians on the Beach Boy albums.

    • @musicmatty67
      @musicmatty67 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The Beatles did not tour extensively like the Beach boys and therefore they had more time in the studio to create music. The Beach boys were a working band Touring relentlessly. This is why Brian Wilson had to quit the touring band so he could remain in the studio creating all the music.. hence why they needed studio musicians to have all the musical tracks ready to go. The other beach boys would come in off the road and just lay their vocal tracks and then take off on another tour…very efficient and fast. This is why both the Beach boys and the Beatles have so many hits within just a few short years. The contract agreements with a Record company back in those days was nothing like it is today. The record companies demanded new music practically every 3 to 4 months.

    • @guybeachboy
      @guybeachboy 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      In the early days the Beach Boys played most instruments on their records. From 1965 Brian started using session musicians due to the group touring and increasing musical complexity. Later on in the sixties when Brian's home studio was built the group were playing again on albums like Friends and Wild Honey. There is precise detail on the internet if you care to look it up.

    • @michaeldaley5831
      @michaeldaley5831 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The Beatles did use session musicians,on some recordings,if you look it up,they used hundreds,some backing vocals,but mostly instruments,type in list of people who performed on Beatles songs.you may be surprised,Carl,Dennis & Brian,also played in the studio,with the wrecking crew.& after pet sounds,the 5 beach boys played on the next albums,Friends,wild honey ect.

    • @musicmatty67
      @musicmatty67 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@michaeldaley5831 I was specifically referring to the period that Brian Wilson was active with writing and producing. Yes, by the end of the late 1960s, Brian Wilson was finished and the Beach boys did most of their own instrumental recording in the studio.

    There was a common phrase being thrown around in the early to mid 60s ---- "the Liverpool sound", meaning, that bands from Liverpool all sounded a certain way. However, Paul McCartney once said in an interview that each group from Liverpool had its own unique sound and around 5:15 John Mac seemed to confirm that and stated that they just let each musician play his own instrument and didn't actually plan the band's sound.

    Jon Bon Jovi is now an endemic species, this character straight from a fairy tale in which there is no room for stillness or inaction, he has such an original personality of creation that does not allow you to pass by it indifferently without at least a moment of reflection or reflection on how life can be fragile short and like a daydream it becomes so real when you listen to music created by someone who has never avoided hard work and like never before it is ours today we are involuntary participants in this great project that is human life and to no longer be accused of writing which has no end, I will say in the words of the song "it's my life" and all the rest is just a blink of an eye at the master's whim.
