@@unmomento878 I've never had issues with humidity or any type of weather. I don't play the high/low humidity game. Have a great recipe to begin with and you'll never have to worry about it. You don't need separate recipes, just make small adjustments w/liquids if it's too dry or powders if it's too wet. I can use my bath bomb and steamer recipes in any kind of weather.

@@utube2825 no unfortunately, because cp is liquid when you pour it into the mold and then allow it to harden. The only way to do cp would be to shred it, rebatch it into a paste, then add your solvents. Since cp is liquid already, you won’t know how much solvent to use to get it just to the liquified state. Too much solvent and it will never harden. It will be like rubber.

​@TheSoapChef thank you so much for your response! I'm on a mission to create a melt and pour base that isn't drying like so many store-bought bases. I heard to much glycerin can make it drying. I'll let you know how I go!

@@Fiiscreativemoods yes some people make a simple sugar syrup and use that as the solvent. I personally wouldn’t use a fruit syrup but give it a try with a very small test batch.

@@Carolyn-d5p No, the recipe is available on my website soap-chef.com or my Etsy shop @soapchefmolds Once you try this, you’ll never go back to store bought stuff again. It really works. Just follow the directions closely on mixing so it will stay in solution for the long haul. DMSO takes a little more time to incorporate. Hope you find relief. Leg cramps are the worst.

Always mica in oil based products. Water soluble dyes in water based products

It's usually not too bad for me, but I don't do fancy soaps either. I'm not creative like that.

@@TheSoapChef I liked the cocoa cashmere the best I think out of the three shown here. Anymore, the soaps I’m making, are custom orders, because I have plenty of stock. The last two shows were complete duds. Only one show this year was good (profitable) for me.

You can use a hand mixer. I would not recommend using a blender.

I just checked and it's $44 for 16 oz. As much as I like Lab Alley, I'm gonna pass. That's way more expensive than the base from Catalina. Thank you though, I appreciate the lead. I need some other things from Lab Alley though so I'm gonna do some shoppin' today.

@@TheSoapChef Something is off. I just purchased 4 quarts last week ($24.00) per quart. After reading your response this morning, I went back to website and it's $44 per quart for SINGLE bottle (oh He!! no) . I ordered 4 bottles which was $24.00 per bottle in 4 pack (wanted a gallon to test with and this avoided hazmat fee). Yes, twice the cost, tested in 250+ fragrances and 100% clear 100% of the testing which is what we needed. Shopping today? Amazon and UPS asked me what's for lunch, I see them more than my husband! Bwahaha

@@gloriarolin312 yes, you can use any arbor press that you would like. If you are buying an arbor press with the intent of also purchasing our bottom plate and plunger replacement parts, those will only fit on the arbor press that we use. We got that from Harbor freight

@@maceyknesek2088 you can go to WSP website. They have a % calculator that converts to ounces or grams. You can use whatever formula you want to make m/p soap. The Ingredients used have no bearing in whether it can be meltable or not, that’s up to the solvents. You can use hydrogenated soybean oil in place of palm or shea butter but if you use Shea, decrease the amount.

I'm new to making melt and pour, so I'm not sure on the formula, is all the ingredients listed in your description everything you added in the recipe and that's all you need? I would also use shea as the replacement how do I measure how much to decrease it to, the website?

@@cathikorte2206 did you follow the steps of refrigerating, whip and repeat? You can add preserved water and rewhip to loosen it up.

I didn't get that far with it. It became like dried Elmer's glue really quickly. I'm going to try again. Cross you're fingers!

Because of the structure of this particular cream, using dmso and msm, I wouldn't suggest any substitutes. I wouldn't be able to confidently say that it would be stable with substitutes. This cream, because of the ingredients, needs to be mixed precisely for it to stay in emulsion.
