This could have ended really bad. Good thing I noticed it before major damage was caused.

I somehow missed that Gasoline cars have particulate filters and was surprised when I got the message that it needs to regenerate. This is how long it took me to regenerate it.

Nissan Pulsar 1.2 dig-t Engine Problem Update
Hi, is this in a 2009 duratorq engine?
Egr colds down the engine. Its good in summer when staying in traffic and hot weather.
They solved it in USA - stopped making cars!
Mine is now showing engine management light on. Any ideas?
2024 kia sportage 1900 and I have all those problems dealership isn't interested
Even in uk i plugged egr back in bcos it takes longer to warm up, many tests on many cars i find the same
Today I will buy it 🥲🥲
I have a 2011 Ford Fiesta. Only a two owner. Looks like owner had some work done on transmission during the recall at about 50,000 miles. I brought it with 100,000 miles on it. It now has 111,000 miles on it. Transmission has no problems I can tell. Can hardly feel it shift. Should I be worried. Anything I need to get Ford dealership to do, I try to stay away from them. Car is in top shape inside and out and very clean. Someone took excellent car of it and maintenance records look good. Never seen any transmission fluid replace in the records though.
Our car has already failed the MOT on emissions. I have put cataclean in the fuel. And done all the other checks. All ok. Can I rev the engine to 2500 rpm while the car is stationary on the drive for 20 minutes? Or is it essential that you drive it on a road? I'm asking as the car doesn't have a current MOT I cannot drive it on the road, only to a pre booked MOT appointment.
Thank you, this video helped me a lot!!! can you tell me if you have ever solved the problem of starting the multimedia when the key is in the off position?
Gitara wyglądają sztos dzięki za film biorę the same !
Egt are also used to heat up the temps much quicker as the gas passes through its water cooler which warms the water and cools the gases. Its win win ,lose lose situation
Ive got a single mass in a Mazdaspeed 3. Its way more grippy and you can really dump the cluctch more. Its way louder and clicky than the dual mass, and also the pedal is much more stiff.
Thanks
Thanks for the video...
My 206 just failed on emissions, it only does short journeys to work every day, it's had a new air filter recently so gonna try your tips 😊
I swapped my DMF to a lighter weight SMF in my 05 Focus and it made it a completely different car performance wise. It really allowed the 2.0 Duratec to shine.
The other day I just made an STS EGR blanking plate for my 2006 Mazda BT 50 2.5 common rail turbo diesel, it now runs much cooler but the check engine light has come on. I have not put a screw in the vacuum line yet, so the EGR valve is still working but drawing no exhaust gases. I live in a subtropical climate.

is this compatible with electrique adjust of the patern?
I have childlock malfunction on the screen and even when the car is turned off , it wont come off for 90 minutes , the locks are fixed so im not sure what it coukd be , any suggestions?
7mm bolt - 15t screw on mine, just for the heads up probs.
The hot summer and just driving from home to the mot place less than 10 minutes in normal city driving is probably a big factor to why i failed mine, unfortunatly in Portugal your MOT is on the month that the car was manufactured (my case it's june) so i'll never be able to do it in the winter, gotta keep an eye for less hot days next year and do a good drive before hand! I still replaced my O2 sensors because they were 25 years old and doesn't hurt as they do not last forever either, and the car seems to drive a bit better after replacing those, so hopefully ill pass the 2nd attempt, thanks for the advise
Does the red reflector thing in the front doors have a bulb in them from the factory? Also i wouldnt purchase these cheap style leds that come in pouches like that, they sure might be a bit brighter than lets say philips ultinon, or osram bulbs, but at least osram and philips last years.
PSA: To prolong the life of your DMF Avoid lugging the engine at all costs. Learn how to revmatch, revmatching is great for DMF Lifespan. or at least be very gentle with your downshifts let the clutch disc do all the work when releasing the pedal, take it easy. If you got Auto Start/Stop disable it everytime you start your car. Always start and stop your car engine with clutch depressed. Never launch or clutch dump it. Remember DMF is there to smoothen out your ride and mostly to protect your gearbox from hard launches and clutch dumps, it's fitted mostly to diesels and some tiny petrol engines, diesels have great torque which can destroy your gearbox with hard launchds and DMF is there to absorb the engine vibrarions when idling or slow driving newer cars have weak gearboxes.
This was 4th video that i watch about changing cabin filter to mondeo mk4. And first one Where the steering wheel is on the left side 🙂. Like my car. (I allredy removed clovebox for nothing 😉)
Same thing for me. Dismounted glovebox. Glovebix lid dampening hinge broke off (probably was going to break eventually anyway). Looked for the filter housing for like 10 minutes straight, twisting my head in unimaginable ways, eyeballing every side & corner for it. Took me an hour until I found this video. Still have to fix the hinge and put everything back together now. Just a tip: gas pedal nut is 10mm, filter housing is 7. I'm actually impressed for how hard Ford has made it for such a simple job. You have to be a gymnast for this simple task and even then it's hard to do everything correctly. I remember changing it in a Honda: You just pull the glovebox out with 2 hands, pull out filter housing, swap the filter, put everything back together in reverse order. 2 minutes. Not a single tool needed.
What fuse did you blow please as I have no power to my head unit
Thanks Bro now i am clear 👍 good job....take care❤
I changed out a dual mass flywheel on a 2001 Ford F-250 Superduty 7.3 diesel and it drove flawlessly. It was half the cost of going back with complete dual mass assembly and parts were easier to source. Clutch pedal feel and engaging was awesome.
DMF’s are just pure garbage in my opinion
Prince and link plz
Had this problem today, appreciate this bro, was the switch, exact same problem
I have the 180hp diesel. A couple of things to be aware of: The water pump impeller can come loose, which results in overheating. Usually between 160,000 and 200,000 km. The thermostat can start to leak at similar km. And the housing can blow apart, which means you're calling a tow truck. (Unless you have a spare handy, they're actually not too terrible to replace. They're not cheap though...) The EGR cooler housing can get cracks in it. Similar km. A complete EGR valve costs a fortune, the cooler is OKish, or apparently you can get them plastic welded. Getting them out is a fairly big job. With the mileage on your car, it's quite probable all these parts have already been replaced.
Bro shut the fuck up and put the camera under the mount.
You should've bought a 2.5T mk4 mondeo instead of the mk5. Im also driving a 2.5T (the mighty 5 cylinder volvo engine) and i love it to bits i bought it with 160k km now i have 250k km in it without any issue and not to mention the burbling sound of the 5 pot is just makes it more crazy cuz you would not expect a mondeo to sound like that. You will have a lot more issues with mk5 than with the mk4
all in all you seriously did not thought to include in the video a night video demonstration
In short NGK is the main problem. They don't have any LPG working sparks. the gap for LPG must be around 0.5mm, but not 1mm or above, like they are.
Both a VW , 1.6 TDI 2014/B7 drove 30K and the transmision failed, the noise from transmision never stopped during driving only at 70miles/hr the noise stopped and when my mechanic change the transmision notice that the car was converted, the worst part is that in UK, Euro car parts and GSF would send t'same single mass flywheel, only the VW dealer could provide the right one and as a shock dual mass from dealer was cheaper than single mass from the usual parts provider for my mechanic, stay away from single mass if you can it cost me a fortune to change everythyng, all engine mounts, both driveshaft, gear box, clutch +dual mass flywheel, and there is no guaratee yet that my engine would last as much as it should!
I like you
That 3rd layer is worthless unless you live 24/7 in the car and keep the doors/windows hermetically shut.
What kind of stupid man that fills diesel in a petrol engine, i guess?
Oh wow, I have been considering to replace our family's 2020 Sportage to newer one, but after learning about this GPF thing... not so sure now. And for comparison, I got 2016 ford mondeo diesel, 70% of trips are short town driving, and don't have any issues with DPF...
Mijn dank is groot!
Damn, I'm replacing my clutch because it's started to slip a bit and never knew i had a dual-mass flywheel (or that they existed!). I'm quite gentle driving but i would have been even more so had i known 😮 Well i didn't buy the flywheel because it was another $350. So I'll inspect it and see.ty
Thank you
Madness. This thing is to protect environment but you need to drive extra 100km.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I have this crap in my suzuki as well 🤦
I may be wrong but running regenerations the way you did - rpms over 3000 - is not gentle on the engine, at all. it brings coolant temeratures up to their design limit and as the result the coolant expansion thank goes through many extreme temperature cycles. plastic deformation creates weak points on the tank itself with many brittle spots and passages for the fluid to go through. when the system works at high pressure you have leakages until you replace the tank waiting for the next tank to be replaced again and again
That's awesome. You saved me a lot of time and trouble probably even damage, thank you so much!!!
its funny because honda also uses a dual clutch automatic system on their Africa twin models, but they work pretty good and have not much issues. but they also dont use a dry clutch. but yea it seems like they did a bit better engeniering on it😅
One important distinction is the fact that diesels have wet clutches and those gearboxes are generally fine, as far as I know.
I had 2 fords with powershift gearboxes. Diesel and petrol both gave me problem. That's why they lost a customer.
Haha, welcome to the club! I have diesel 1.5 dci with DPF. Lucky for me, my car has 5th injector for DPF burnout so no problem with diesel in the engine oil etc. But I thought I is highest time to set me free of this problem and started to look for the gasoline engine new car. How I was surprised reading about GPF issues... I think it is time to buy electric bike 😂
