it's zero skillshots but for example you have items that actually have an active and they work as abilities sometimes, while in league you just build the item and forget about it pretty much,you might swap it in late game but most of the items are passive and and league doesn't have followers that you can control or a courier mechanic, and for the average player dota is a lot more complicated at least to get into it

Dota has a lot of physics involved in it. When you play Dota, you basically can become anything. Supports can carry in Dota which is very very rare in League. If you're support in Dota and you think your carry ain't doing shit, you can re-utilize your item and be THE carry to win the game if need be. That's just one of the many things that make Dota so difficult. Not to mention the pulling of camps. Not only you'd have to think about last hitting the enemy creeps and your creeps, you also have to strategize how to pull your camps for neutral creeps while in lane. And you need to time it perfectly.

Dota has heroes as simple as wraith king with literally one button to press (point and click stun) in his kit and as hard as meepo which have you control up to 6 heroes at once. League's got skillshots and champion combos. And while I agree that league's skillshots and champion combos are hard to master, it doesn't even matter since today's league is just who oneshots the other person first. If league champions had the survivability to be able to meaningfully use their combos and skillshots out of the laning phase it would be harder when it comes to micro. But that's not the case. Plus dota also has it's fair share of skillshots and combos as well, although not as intense as irellia, riven or samira's combos. But that's compensated by having up to 7 active items and up to 6 active spells and controlable summons, half of which with usable skills. Also dota has some heroes and items that when paired with some good reaction speed can do wild stuff. When you've got 8 buttons to press, there really isn't a reasonable way to make every skill a skillshot like in league, although funnily enough some of the skillshot heavy characters do use a lot of active item and do have summons. Macrowise dota is definitely a lot harder, league's map is very small and has very little map mechanics and the game itself in it's core is also simpler. When it comes to macro the only harder role in league is jungler, since it requires you to read both teams, the map and plan your clear and gank route. Support is second but even that doesn't come close to the amount of macro you need to play dota well on any role. Macrowise dota is like playing jungle on crack no matter what role you're on. The only macro outside of jungle in the early game that's important in league is objectives and splitpushing/dealing with splitpushing. In league you know what you're opponents are planning on and where they are for most of the time and it's a question of reacting to that adequately, in dota it's also important to react adequately but you have to first guess where your opponents are and what they're planning and that's the hard part. Oh and one more important thing, in league there's a lot of players, including challangers and pro players that one trick characters. That's impossible in dota, the drafting and team composition and couters are much much more important than in league. I'm not talking about just losing lane, i'm talking about a ceratain hero or a hero that favours buying a certain item making the game completely unplayable for a certain other hero. Anyway I can go on and on but I've been playing league since 2011 and dota since 2012 (tried it when it was a w3 mode even before that in like 2006 but only appreciated it when it became a standalone game) and I can confidently say dota is much harder than league on an avarage and casual level. On a highly competitive level both games are pretty hard but I do still think because of the macro and unless the meta favors micro light heroes (like right now by the way) , dota will still get the edge.

No offense to Sneaky, hes a pro League player who understand how high your skill expression is there, absolutely. But hes 6.2k mmr in Dota, and it definitely shows from the gameplay, don't get me wrong the majority of people who play videogames are utter dogshit at them, so Sneaky's mmr seems impressive, but almost everyone whos good at dota knows how trash low immortal is. Even if Sneaky was like 9k+ mmr i would be hella suspicious of anyone who pretends to understand how high you can actually do skill expression in Dota. When i see Sneaky reach atleast 9-10k mmr, which even at that point is still 4k mmr away from actual top tier pros, and he starts playing heroes which are mechanically and micro-intensively more demanding than anything in League ( Meepo, Invoker, Chen, Arc Warden, LD, etc ), i'll be glad to hear his comparisons.

Scripting tools do a lot. Help with dodging, help with aiming skill shots, show fog of war or help with it in some way, and other things. Also, most "good' scripts have humanizers built into the script. Many of the scripts ramp up how much they do their thing as the game progresses for example. Many scripts will not dodge everything or auto land skill shots in the first 5-10 minutes of a game. If the player dies then it isn't a big deal. This way it is harder to detect the player is scripting when people do a vod review. The person reviewing looks at the first 5 minutes and sees the scripter eating skill shots, dying, sucking on CS, and not landing hardly anything. Then once the scripts kick in full, the person never misses anything, can't be touched, and never misses any CS anymore. The scripts even during the post 5 minutes will still allow some skills to land. Especially of there is no major consequence for not dodging. For example, player is full health, has more team mates nearby, and a skill shot won't do more than 1/5th their current health. There isnt' a CC component to the skill shot either that allows for an all in follow up. So why would the script bother to dodge that skill shot for the player? The humanizers check for all those factors. How much damage the skill shot can do, how many nearby players there are, if they are under a tower, the size of the minion waves nearby and so much more. The scripts these days are not clucky pieces of software. Not with the money that flows into them and the teams working on them. The best scripts are designed to not look like bad scripts. They are designed to make it look like a good player instead. Lastly, if Vanguard TERMINATES a game, there was 100% a scripter in the game. The Vanguard program doesn't look at how the person played when a script was running. It only looks at the script program running in the background. It either is running or isn't. This is why I can't believe how many people don't have an idea on how to spot scripters in this game. There were hundreds of thousands of people scripting in games before Vanguard came out. It was that prevalent. Most people thought there was hardly anyone scripting though because they had no idea how to look for them.
