This is the type of stuff that, as a child, made me horribly fear that I wasn't saved because I didn't have these magical experiences you nutters claim to have. Thankfully it helped me put a lot more thought into religion and I become an atheist earlier than I would have otherwise :) Also this speaking in tongues stuff is clearly a humiliation ritual, no?

I am not at all sure that you are on the right road in believing that evil spirits are involved. Evil spirits almost certainly are NOT involved, and in fighting them, you are fighting what is not there. You are a child of God! A wee suggestion. Cut a strip of blank paper. On the top of one side write "Succeeded in offering my sufferings to God". On the top of the other side, write "With God's help, I handled foot in a healthy manner". Then each night, during prayer time, put a tick under the heading, if with God's help you succeeded that day. If you didn't do so well, put an X, then hand it over to God.

Ask Jesus to become the love of your life, and then if you meet the right person, you will have it both ways

When I was reading the book of Acts and when the apostles spoke in tongues those people that was there was from different parts of the world and they didn't speak the language that the apostle spoke so when the Holy Spirit fell on the apostles they spoke in the language so that the other people can understand them what scriptures do you have that says what you're talking about can you please send me some scriptures or anybody on here send me some scriptures please❤❤❤

I have had many of the same experiences of increasing my time in prayer through tongues. -It builds us up in our most holy faith. (Jude 1:20) -God brings rest and refreshing to His people as we pray in tongues. ..."So the Lord will use strange words and foreign languages to speak to these people. God said to them, “Here is a place of rest; let the tired people come and rest. This is the place of peace.” But the people would not listen." (Isaiah 28:11-12) -Praying in tongues helps us to pray out the perfect will of God with the assistance of the Holy Spirit's wisdom and knowledge. Romans 8:26 says, "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered". -Praying in tongues is the gateway to activating all of the spiritual gifts. When I pray in tongues for longer periods of time, my spirit becomes so sensitive to God. and I feel so on-fire for Him. I receive 'words of knowledge' about people who need encouragement, and more people are physically healed when I pray for them when I spend time praying in tongues daily. It's the best! ...Paul said, "I speak in tongues more than you all!!" 1 Corinthians 14:18 -Paul is a great person to emulate! :)

I think part of the problem with finding mature Christians is that it is very hard to admit to ourselves our own darkness, even if the Holy Spirit is showing us our darkness in a very clear way, or sending people or situations to tell us our darkness. We can’t give what we don’t have. But we also can’t surrender what we won’t give up.

I’m trying to understand if you are speaking about casting out demons from true believers in Christ who are already indwelt by the Holy Spirit? I do not see in Scripture where there are examples of this. I would welcome your thoughts.

I never knew people spoke in tongues until I was 20. Growing up in church never heard it discussed outside of acts 2

Hmmmm, I am in two minds about tongues. Biblically it doesn’t match up. When I compare it to acts, it is pretty clear in terms of it’s characteristics. Then there is the 1 Corinthians problem too. I am still exegeting the text so this is not an attack on you at all. just saying that I am confused. I think it makes Christians lazy. We are to learn how to pray with the spirit and with our mind in unison. The best example is the psalms, David prayed like a champion and you can see improvement he made over time with the help of the Holy Spirit. Study the psalms and read the battle plan for prayer. I find that when people don’t know how what to say, they quickly default to the so called tongues and they base their progress on a feeling which is also problematic. The heart is deceitful and it fools many into believing what is untrue. Here is a video on praying in the spirit, this was from John Bunyan, one of the great preachers of all time. Read his book called pilgrims progress. Overall thanks for the video, I am trying to figure this out. Either you are wrong or the other people are. What if there's no words coming out and nothing is coming to your mind

We live in an age of narcissism. We have all become narcissistic and we reject each other. Maybe what God is looking at in our selfish hearts is whether we can become like Abraham and without reservations, offer up on the altar our hopes, dreams, desires for our future, as a sign of our true reverence, not for ourselves, but for Him.

I have no hope in getting married. I haven't even dated at least once yet. Toxic girls so far.

Trying to give you some friendly advice from a mans perspective. This is not meant to discourage you but to inform you. It’s true, a lot of men have stopped approaching women. The main reason is social media. We are told repeatedly that woman don’t need men. So much so that there are studies are proving it. The rise of the she-economy study was heartbreaking to read. Another study said 60% of the men between age 20-40 said they have no intention of dating anymore. The problem I see you facing is you're too beautiful for the majority of men to want to approach without having the fear of being labeled as a creep in the case of rejection. What God blessed you with is a blessing and a curse. Well maybe not a curse but it does make things tougher. It makes me sad to say but if you prepare yourself for this dynamic it can lead to more success. The hardest part men have is trusting a woman enough to get married. Men are having a harder and harder time entering into marriage knowing that a women can be rewarded for breaking that vow. I was praying about this and God led me to Judges 7. When God wants to show you he can do anything, he will ask you to give up everything and trust him! I’ll be praying for you tonight.

Your so correct Ashley it's been very frustrating to ask for biblical advice and just receive the blanket answer of just trust God, And they've never been thru anything like this in there entire life but yet give advice on a situation they've never experienced It's hard to listen to that sometimes
