AIR CANADA Economy Class LAX to Paris, squashed in a plane on their high capacity economy routes.
I took the plunge and flew economy-class transatlantic from Los Angeles to Paris via Montreal. Both flights were relatively short, one 5 hours and the other 6 hours, with a 3-hour layover in the middle to stretch the legs. The fare was cheap, but was it worth it?? Squatting up in the 777 with 445 passengers is no fun; look at the legroom!

A very good review ! The Lufthansa lounge was very nice ,it seemed ! ! Reg.the recycle paper containers for their amenity kits ,I believe it's love or hate ,depending on the person . I like them & appreciate the effort very much !! But, I prefer waterproof pouches 👝. But,it's totally OK as I always carry waterproof pouches !! We really have to reduce plastic uses !! I recycle everything ,too !! I don't appreciate foods containers aren't made of waterproof containers at grocery stores, though ! For hygienic purposes & safety.👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️💞

How was the WiFi?
great question! and thanks! so... at first the WIFI did not work, I asked the flight attendant who said only so many people can use the service at any one time (which is strange and not very good) she said to keep trying which I did and then it worked well on the phone.
Thanks for the review of BA’s new club world. I used them for some years on my usual long haul GRU-LHR, but have changed to AF as they offer a very good product at less cost. This means I need to stop over at Paris but so far this hasn’t been a problem as it’s any easy change of flight being in the same terminal with only a short waiting time.

Sometimes TAP also comes with the A321LR to Frankfurt and you can enjoy the lie-flat seats on a 3 h journey across Europe.

Had the same experience about 2 years ago on a very early morning 3 hour flight from Berlin to Madrid. I even took the time to feed it back to their customer relations department but they obviously seem very attached to the idea of just throwing a couple of vacuum packed ham packs on a tray and call it business class breakfast. It does imho look really tacky and shows a lack of attention to detail/thought into what is sold as a premium cabin.

The seats behind the bulk heads in premier economy are the only comfortable seats.

An enhanced Economy experience, that's what it is sold as, that is what it is on this Leisure/Low Cost carrier. I wouldn't expect anything more. Norse/Norwegian esque. It's over to the scheduled carrier Air France offering a more noticeable difference in overall comfort, service and upgraded cabin; then you have AF outstanding J and F and Air Tahiti Nui J dedicated cabins/service for that true business/luxury experience

yes it does, very cheap branding, but the seat was super comfortable
You ask 'Is it worth it?'. Worth it is subjective and what is 'worth it' to some people may not be 'worth it' to others. The seat is fine but that so-called meal is an absolute disgrace. They don't need to provide gourmet cuisine but it doesn't have to be cheap muck either, especially as it has to be purchased. I would suggest that passengers who are happy to pay the extra for this type of seat on a long-haul flight would be prepared to pay a bit more to have a decent meal - perhaps the sort of full meal that would have been served in Economy in the 'old days' on a tray - included in the fare. Again, I think the lack of IFE would be a problem for younger passengers. I am old enough to have travelled frequently on long-haul flights when the IFE consisted of stethescope type hollow tube headphones, a 9 channel audio program and a single film but it has been a very long time since I have travelled long-haul on an aircraft with no IFE of any sort, the last time probably being on a VC10!
Not having the IFE was strange, and I am not a big phone person, so watching a movie on a phone is not an option for me. Thankfully, I read, so that helped. I guess with this airline, that is the trade off? The seat was still very comfortable, though, food options was terrible. - its an odd concept and I am not completely sure if I am sold on it. The same route and price Premium Economy on Singapore Airlines was available on the same date but of course no lie flat in that cabin
Crazy how ZipAir can give you a transpacific flight for the price of some transatlantic flights. Makes me wish I lived on the West Coast.
certain amount of trade off's with the Zip option, this being comfort, food service and entertainment!
I’m going to Tokyo in August. In checking out the Zip Air website, it seems that the economy seat leaving LAX is around 400 bucks, BUT the return trip is almost double that! It looks like this airline is trying to lure you in.
yes I noticed that - when I checked again Singapore economy was slightly cheaper option than Zip - plus you get good service and points if you are a member!

Nice to see someone reviewing airlines that are not well known. In fact I've never heard of a few of them. I like the concept of a no frills lie flat seat. I would definitely go for that at that price.
