Adding Levels to a Silo | Renovation Pt. 14

The silo renovation is moving along with a huge milestone reached in this video. It's not easy building a “floating” circular floor especially with a cool added feature on each level.

The add on looks like...well an add on, its terrible.
Wow
Inside ?
Nice skarf joint. Beautiful work
Ditangan orang -orang kreatiff, hal yg tak pernah terbayangkan menja sesuatu yang sangat menakjubkan, mantap 👍
I hope you didn't set those posts directly on the concrete slab without some type of capillary break. The moisture from the concrete will wick up and rot out those timbers if you didn't. And it won't take long in your climate.
it is not strong enough
Now that was cool👌🏽
太棒了
Y'all need to oil that new wood roof, to prevent any more cracks as it dries more... but it sure is beautiful so far! 😊
Work smarter not harder???? I would have done it freehand but to each their own
Love it...but would built it near the seafront. Beautiful scenery warm weather. But absolutely love the design. Congrats🎉❤❤❤
OUTSTANDING!
I thought maybe that tower was for passive cooling, but there are closed windows in it.
The windows open
Minecraft be like
Brilliant
bravo
👍
Krásna práca 👍
When's the next video coming out
Well done Gents
What track is that saw using?
Puno nepotrebnog otpada
Chalk line an skill saw?
Absolutely Amazing ❤❤❤ In my country there are many Old Sugar Factory that are closed now, making something out with your project would be stunning, keep it up guys, well done ❤❤❤
To me look a portable toilet 🚽 i😂😂
Correct. Thats what track saws are for
Дуже гарна ідея , гарна робота.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
Nice work guys
The project is both creative and interesting - I am wondering if you have a specific reason for framing out exterior window openings and the door to patio with double king studs with a "floating" header, rather than conventional king and jack studs either side supporting headers? Anxious to see it completed - think it's going to be pretty unique!
Nice music. Reggaetón
This must be an old silo?
Good job boys
Great work! Is the wood you're using Ash? It looks like q hardwood
Qd on a le fric aussi
Not to make anyone feel bad. But this joint is not suitable for structural member. Please look into locked scarf joint.
I need part 16 of this
So cool
Incredible build; it looks amazing so far. But I am always shocked at how flimsy the doors in the US are. Ok, maybe I am just spoiled and used to German doors, which could probably be used as safe doors. But holy sh*t, that entire Build is just a Joy to watch.
Why did you screw in the main rafters instead of pegging them?
Do tou show in any of your videos how do you measure your tenons in the timber? Or how you scribe the timber into each other marking the cuts?
Great job. Ignore the trolls. Freaking beautiful and I'm sure it won't sink. Wherever this is I trust you don't have tornadoes
Thanks! Shouldn’t sink or collapse. It has been standing sturdy for 115 years with no signs of falling over. Not in a tornado heavy area but we’ve been known to get a few. It’s actually located on top of a hill which is why our videos are often so windy sounding so we’re a little worried about lightning striking the roof over a tornado taking it down.
You got this all hooked up to the vacuum but there's a pile of side that's already on the floor
Wow, you guys did alot of work.
Love the project I think a spiral staircase would complement the silo
Thanks! Yea the plan is to build our own spiral staircase in the front entrance area and then a ladder shoot from the middle floor to the top floor to help save space
I think you get more satisfaction from remodeling something old than building new, make sure you video the staircase build
Espectacular
so you are rebuilding that in an old castle style, lay shales as a roof..and then finish with plastic doors? Really?
This was an old farm silo so it held grain for many years. The original roof was cedar shake so we just decided to match it. The next silo is going to be metal roof to give it more of a modern look. We weren’t really trying to match the look and material used when they were originally built. Thanks for watching!
Truly amazing 👏.
Panowie piękna robota 😊
Is that a dewalt track saw ? If it is how would u rate it compared to festool ?
We’ve never used Festool. They’re pretty popular these days but we bought this Dewalt track saw many years ago and it’s worked great so far however we’ll likely get a Milwaukee track saw for our next one
