No filler episodes in the last two series. Not enough time, too much story. You will see some things that don't seem to pay off, but those are definitely seeds for the future, some of which we may never see if YJ Series 5, etc, never gets made... So yeah, the Harpers: 1) The big guy is Jim Harper, a clone of the OG Jim Harper/the first Guardian, or at least he thinks he is. He still goes around as Guardian, even though Mal Duncan also sometimes is Guardian. Heroes with duplicate names is sort of common from this point forward, as you'll see. Traditionally, Jim is the great uncle of Roy, and in an earlier season, Jim even says this when Superboy noticed how much like Roy Harper he looked. 2) Will Harper is definitely a clone of Roy Harper, and is the youngest of them as said. He was Roy/Speedy until last season, as you saw, and he took a new first name so Roy could continue to use his. He 's a father to Lian, and Artemis/Tigris is his sister in law, so that's why they live together. More on that relationship this season. 3) And yes, you figured out correctly that the youngest looking one was Roy/Arsenal, though he is actually the oldest. This was talked about in other media, but between series 2 and 3, the Runaways (the team of young heroes Arsenal joined, with Static, Ed/El Dorado, Tye Longshadow, and Asami Koizumi) sort of fell apart. Eduardo Dorado went back to his family and will appear later. Static and Arsenal joined the Team, and Tye and Asami gave up the superhero life and went back to Taos together; Blue Beetle got Tye's mean stepdad arrested for all the criminal shenanigans he was up to, so Tye had a better situation to return to, and a girlfriend in Asami. Another thing talked about in the comic tie in series is that, shortly after this, Will invited Roy and Jim to buy into Bowhunter Security as partners. Apparently Will agreed that an all-Harper team was hard to beat. Thanks for watching these!
Dick is... complex. He's actually a great leader for the right group. But since that group tends to be, shall we say, Bat-adjacent... it can work REALLY poorly for the wrong type of group.
There’s Roy (Arsenal), Jim (Guardian, from Cadmus), and Roy (Red Arrow), the last two are clones of Arsenal, the real Speedy
This episode was a gem. Roy (or Will now) with the dad jokes had me cracking up.
Loved this episode
This is the best episode of the show and one of the best episodes of TV ever. Bowhunter Security: Always on Point
Dick is becoming more and more like Bruce. The only thing that matters is the mission.
